  • my gosh politics and religion are not a way to break the ice whn meeting ur son's fiance's parents. good lord that woman acts as if those ppl were george w. bush himself

  • Congratulations on finding the only two Bush supporters in Berkeley.

  • the mother was a bitch (I am Iranian myself, by the way) .... The father on the other hand is cool.

  • the mother was a bitch (I am Iranian myself, by the way)

  • You personally do not know the girl's father. What makes you determine that he is a jerk? What is wrong with having different point of view. This what makes this country great. All point of views are heard unlike Iran.

Behind every difference of opinion, behind every disagreement, behind each conflict there is common ground. And that common ground can be the starting point for resolving the conflict.

  • ummm did i ask for your opinion? no i didnt. i think hs a jerk and the mother is totally right america is responsible for the way iran has turned out. i live in new zealand and all point of views are heard too but we never go round being rude to other races. thats what seperates americans to the rest of the world. they are self centered and rude. not all them but a majority of them

  • @ejahanrakshan But come on, is that a subject to get started with when you meet your daugher-in-laws parents for the first time??? Most certainly not.

  • the girls father is such a jerk he has no idea what hes talking about

  • Parvis speaks good english

  • again thanx for sharing:)

  • eyvallllll mamannnn, wow that MOM is amazinggggggggggggggggg, i like herrrrr, she is rightttt...all she is saying is RIGHTT...

  • As much as the Iranian lady shouldn't have started the political talk, the girl's father should have been more tactful and avoided the discussion.

1:13: "I think President Bush was very WISE"

    ROFL!!

  • Been married for 8 years, parents live an hour from each other and have never met. Has to be more to that story. No doubt alot of friction has built up before this meeting.

The mothers question of "what do you think about bush" could be translated as "confirm my suspicions that you dont approve of your daughters choice of husband"

  • but i have to admit that the women should not talk about this on the first meeting. lol. Then the husband fills the glasses up as fast as possible. lol. Meet the Persians part 1.

  • that shows how uneducated this white guy is. He needs to do some research and find out that America puts people in power in different countries. Saadam and Mullahs are no different. Lke having puppets in power pulling their strings.

  • lol i like this reality show, thats typical political iranian familly, lol i like the dad he is worring about the ghorme sabzi looooooooooooooooooool i hope my parents do this to my freind that be crazy lol

  • stupid uneducated american!

  • i love my peaple and i dont give sh** abut her and akhoondhaye be namos

  • wat the heck! I thought they were going to talk about the wedding.

Sharing win over American's foriegn policy in the 70s? This is a simple social event for God sake. This woman should seek a psychologist. I mean she probably had some interest in that policy directly or indirectly otherwise she woudn't have left Iran in the first place. This sort of problem started by Pakistani community in England and believe me or not some Afghans are following them unfortunately. I call it integration bias.

  • The father seems like a peace maker. Nice family. Every body is entitle to their opinion but for god sake do not talk politics when this beautiful couple want you to meet. Hope the new generation made buy these new family units be all friends and end all wars and live happily ever after.

  • yeki dahane in zanakaro bebande...

  • ....lol i have to go take care of my what loool did he say rice? loool

  • yeah, he said rice! hehe.... he was the cook apparently .... lol

  • Why would she bring up US-Iran politics in their first meeting? Trying to be a typical Iranian step mom?!! Her husband looks helpless!

  • I can't believe this man lives that kind of view in Berkelery CA!

  • I love the iranian mother! She is smart!

  • What do you think of the policy of this country in the Middle East?

what a question to break the first silence with.

  • Well it shows the mother is no dummy.

  • She is smart lady but lacks tactfulness. There is place and time for everything. she can show this guy he is wrong in many other ways. Why on this first meeting I feel for Reza and his new fiance

  • I totally agree. The lady couldn't help keeping this discussion for later and the father of the fiance was a real symbol of a typical American who is totally blinded by Bush's system!

  • They shouldn't be talking about those things. The guy has no clue about the middle east or Iran/US relations.

  • wow, that must have been awkward

  • i agree with the iranian lady lol!!!!!

  • lol that was an awkward moment when she brought US policy in Iran. The discussion of politics has never been a good ice breaker at these times. And add religion to that....lol...someone is bound to get pissed.

  • i know even though i agree more with the irani lady i think it was the worse moment to bring that up way to make the relationship better and become a family.
