Been married for 8 years, parents live an hour from each other and have never met. Has to be more to that story. No doubt alot of friction has built up before this meeting.

The mothers question of "what do you think about bush" could be translated as "confirm my suspicions that you dont approve of your daughters choice of husband"

Sharing win over American's foriegn policy in the 70s? This is a simple social event for God sake. This woman should seek a psychologist.
