  • works on mac?

  • wow, every possible question I would like to ask, every possible information I could make up concerning your little project...wasn't answered/given. That's art dude! 1:13min pointless.

  • is there a usb hole at the back of those monitor?

  • U need that moniter . Wont ork with any other

  • wait, can we do this one to with windows 7 ultimate?

    thanks

  • USING USB AS A MEANS OF EXTRA MONITORING IS A HUGE BURDEN ON YOUR COMPUTER AND LEADS TO VERY CHOPPY VIDEO RESULTS..AM I RIGHT?

  • Hey this video isn't that bad. it tells you that if you buy monitors that have USB connections.... its WAY EASIER to hook up a laptop.

    Thanks for showing this video.

  • Good work with the monitor stands champ!

  • WHAT THE FUDGE :)

    WHAT'S THE PROGRAM NAME ?

LOOKS LIKE YOU JUST WANTED TO BE IN FRONT OF CAMERA !

THANK YOU FOR WASTING MY TIME :)

  • It appears that that shady company is no longer in business.

    Consider yourselves lucky.

  • WARNING:

Do NOT purchase any DisplayLink products without doing research.

We purchased an adapter to allow for a second monitor to expand the Windows XP desktop.

The product worked for just over a week and then would not recognize the monitor ( no matter how many times we uninstalled and reinstalled it).

I tried over and over to get any support from that company and they continually ignored my requests for help.

Eventually we just chalked it up to 'being screwed over' and ate the loss.

  • Fuck you!!

You just made me think that this was available and get me interested just to end up with a bunch o crap

  • umm i cant find the USB on my monitor? HEEEELP

  • They have especial monitor they use usb

  • There is a way without the graphics card

  • is not 16:9, is it 1600:9 widescreen *lol*

  • Can this be done with additional keyboards and mouses so their is 6 work stations? How would you connect 6 keyboards and 6 mouses to the 6 monitors to the 1 laptop?Dose this drain the battery life longer?

  • @bradenjb Sorry, that wouldn't work. And if it did, each user would not be able to even run windows microsoft word without the pc crashing because the processor wouldn't be able to process all the info.

  • WORDS CANNOT EXPLAIN

  • thx for sharing bullshit with us!

  • whats the program? can i give a tut how to do this

  • can you send me the link to buy it for windows7?

  • cool! expose yourself to more radiation

  • @bigeherb you do know that lcd monitors dont have radiation on them right?

  • please make new video and show how do you did this smart work...

  • @aukem11 The monitors have a USB hub built in with a USB graphics chip as well. If you have standard monitors you can use a DisplayLink USB to VGA/DVI/HDMI adaptor per monitor to connect up to 6 to any Notebook with USB 2.0.

  • @MTROVER1 Sweet

  • What are the connections in the back of the monitors? I need more help than just daisy chain. Please explain.

  • all you people who say this video is not helpful, why don't you try going to the website and stop being fucking lazy

  • waste of space on servers.

  • Able to daisy chain if theres no usb hub on back? Like with usong dvi?

  • Stop buying monitors, And upgrade your computer.

  • rubbishhhh....non helpfulllllllllllllll.......!!!!!!!!!! not engh explanationssssss.........!!

  • @thatcommonsenseguy is correct. .

I have never seen a monitor with a usb display either (vga, dvi, hdmi - yes). But that is because Display link is proprietary USB hardware and this is a Display link sales &marketing video.

  • Comment removed

  • no help thanks for nothing put that on you 4 monitors

  • who needs six monitors?

  • This would not work unless you have the right graphics card. To see how to actual connect 3 monitors watch my latest video.

  • basicly u didnt show us shit.. for an example where the fuck do i plug in the usb to begin with?

  • can i run on windows 7?

  • @thatcommonsenseguy No it is possible. There is another brand (popular just forgot wich one ,but popular like LG) that have this. It is possible.

  • and you thought it was bad when you lost your mouse in the corner of your screen

  • ugliest monitor stand i have ever seen lol

  • the drikers are installed only y the laptop?

  • @blade004 the "Then you failed as a human being"-part was a joke,.. and next to that; i was just pointing out that you actually can open two ( of the same) office programs at the same time... and yes, if pointing something out is arrogance, then i am arrogant and i'm proud of it, because i do it to help people... there are a lot worse things going on then not knowing how a computer works... ontopic though; what is the max resolution and can you play games on all three together?

  • @arand4 you actually can open one office program 2 times...

  • @TheRespawnShow Then you failed as a human being...

  • @6SIX6Bloodshedded Do you know how to change the indicator switch on your Car? It's simple but not everyone knows such details even if they are quite simple. Leave your arrogance at the front door but don't trip over it on the way out ;)

  • What if u don't know how to plug in a usb cable

  • I'm using 3 Display Link Pluggable USB 2.0 adapters to run 4 Acer G185H monitors (3-usb & 1 VGA) and it works just swell. I basically run Word, Scottrade Java applications along with the Chrome browser and the flexibility is amazing. I even run some composite video to digital via USB or YouTube while I'm running the other stuff with my Core i5x650 integrated video computer.

Multiple monitors is almost equal to the leap from Scribes to the Printing press.

    Learning is Enhanced.

  • useless

  • @arand4 Thanks for the explanation. I know you can open only one Powerpoint in your computer, but there have been programs that when I least noticed enabled something called "multiple instances", Winamp for example. What I wonder is if Microsoft hasn't done it, if anyone else hasn't tried?

  • can i do this with a mac as well? I have 2 now but i want a 37 inch LCD over them both.

  • can we do it for x box 360

  • But... can you display two different Powerpoint presentations on two different displays at the SAME TIME??? Because that's what I want to do, but I think it might not be possible... going to continue my research.

  • @mexchico17 it is not possible because you cannot have 2 powerpoint presentations open in one powerpoint, you would need to open one with Open office and the other one with microsoft office. basically what a second monitor does is just add more desktop space, so your question does actually have noithing to do with multiple monitors.

Can you open 2 presentations on one monitor? no, not in the same program. so the same thing allso for 2 monitors

  • what happens if you go over 6 monitors

  • Imagen the amount off porn you could have!

  • Don't use it if you want to run anything that even requires graphics rendering. It will be slow as heck!

  • thanks for making this non helpful great super grand loaded with crappy info video. ur awesome. and no it didnt help at all.

  • very cool, does it prompt you if a second monitor is detected ?

  • usb? isnt that just shit quality? and 2 monitors are enuf by the way

  • What a waste of time! It doesnt explain anything, what where!

  • what if you wanna add 12 monitors?

  • do i have to downlode a program for this? im geting a XFX Radeon HD 4650 1GB DDR2 AGP Dual DVI Video Card wil that work?

  • hey all my TVs in my house has USB ports not purpose made by display link.

  • Can you buy an adaptor and have an VGA to USB.

  • @CaptainSpidey153 Yes you can

    Just search google

  • What do you do if, MOnitor dosen't have USB>>

  • @daviddtv2010 you go out and buy a USB connector that changes over what you have to USB

  • I think these monitors are actually purpose made by display link. Researching now

  • SUPER USB LAGG

  • Were did you get those moniters can I have the link thanks???

  • Link for buying the Monitors?

  • Take a look at

    usbnow.co.uk

  • This is how he does it

Will be buying mine, for Flight Sim 2004/FSX

  • Well, I'll be damned.

  • which cabel did you use for that, i want 3 screens on one pc, which cable can i buy for it?

  • Be careful I check into this you can overload your USB ports but yea plug it in go thats what I like easy to explain to users that do not have a lot of knowledge of computers.

  • all the USB will slow down your pc

  • do you need to buy the new monitors, Or can you just buy the software?

  • @gillesvsgilles you need to buy the adapter of USP to DVI/HDMI/VGA

  • Whitch screens are you using?

  • @iTzToXiCv2 same question here

  • I wonder if I could do this to my Mac Book Pro. Hmmmm???

  • @AiRamosPro Mac Boock Pro contain big CD driver; in the main while the UDB adapter came with small CD...

  • finally, someone explained how to do it instead of just showing out and bragging about how many they have...

  • What do i need to hock up 2 exstra monitor on my laptop? like he did, i only have 1 vga on my laptop. So i only know how to hock up one more screen. Plzz help me.

  • @SKarsteinX Hook your "Main" Second monitor up via the VGA, so there is minimum lag on that one, then you will need a monitor with DisplayLink built in or a little adapter to connect it by USB. Google DisplayLink to find out more.

  • could sumone explain how hes connecting 3 more monitors into his computer? plz and thank you

  • @FiSTFigHT09 He is using DisplayLink (google it) enabled monitors and they work by USB instead of VGA, DVI, HDMI etc.

  • is it 6 for 1 usb? so would that be like 19 (3 usb and laptop monitor) and a game pad?

  • @rockraven5000 They mean you can run 6 monitors via USB from one laptop, not multiple USB ports. Don't forget you can also plug a monitor into your laptop's built in DVI/VGA/HDMI etc. Port.

  • Monitors over USB

    i lol'd

  • Beast

  • SUPER LAPTOP

  • Actually 2...the laptop is already connected.

  • no he adds 3 ??

  • awsome awsome!

  • Why bother? Any decent graphics card already supports four monitors (two dual-link DVI allows up to 4 monitors); and i'm positive that getting a second graphics card with 2 more dual-link DVI (which would allow EIGHT displays) would be cheaper than getting a displaylink setup. The image quality is probably a lot better too.

  • ...because the vid was posted in 2007. Lighten up.

  • Because it is meant for laptops.

  • Actually your wrong. You cant hook up no more than 2 monitors with dual dvi. there is only to dvi connectors where the other 2. You have to have a hub to run more than 3 or more screens.

  • TWO Dual-Link DVI's - each dual-link dvi can be split off, thus supporting two monitors each. With two dvi's on a graphics card, you can run FOUR monitors. I've done it before, it's definitely possible. kmitchem, you don't know what you're talking about.

  • but, what is the FPS, and is it posible to run games (well, high res videos for that question) across them, assumeing you have a decent GPU, on a decent PC, not laptop, lol.

  • DisplayLink works up to 1920 x1080. Checkout the Samsung Lapfit LD220G.

  • @mthraves Some adapters work up to 1920 x 1200 now! But it's very recent. No monitors have it "built-in" yet.

  • Does this Duallink -Software support a resolution of 1920x1200? Or is it only made for 1680x1050?

thanks a lot for your help.

also I can't find anything on the website, where I can download the Duallink software.

  • I want a circle like that when I grow up. They will all have touch.

  • that was a rather empty video!!!

  • Comment removed

  • xp goes upto 16 moniters ! lol

  • just think, IF THEY WERE PROJECTORS. O_O

  • lol, the best of 3D, 6 mointors in a circle.....

  • i Need A Big Monitor

  • what kind of monitors are they

  • Note that these monitors usb only works with very low quality and speed as an integrated S3 Virge 4MB, only works on Windows and MS DOS games old, not used to playing games because usb does not accelerate 3D graphics.

  • How fast is the monitor response time?

  • you need to have specially enabled monitors. the hardware needs to be built in. check out their website. google displaylink cool idea though

  • What software is that

  • probably utilizes cpu like shit with 6 monitors

  • hay! no GNU/Linux support!?!?!? bad Intel!

  • i like where this is going ;)

  • wow so i didnt need that £100 graphics card that i bought but meh i get t play crysis

  • if you use usb hubs, can't you connect more than 6?

  • graphics card restricitions

  • what if ure monitor isnt brand new and you dont have usb

  • ur in bad luck then..

  • man this is great for a computer programmer, if u are opening too much applications under one(this happens) in programming.... but is it good for gaming???

  • well the thing for gaming is you can toggle other programs why you play so you could watch like youtube videos or a movie although it all matters how much juice you have in your pc

  • oh yea ur hot

  • i have a macbook pro and i wana connect three 22" monitors. wot do i need and how to i connect them?....plz sumbody tell me

  • your watching the wrong video dude LOL XD

search youtube again but only this time add macbook or apple

  • Wuh?

  • rate and tell me what you boys think

  • could you please what music is playing in the backround and opening of this video please

  • "and the the software automatically" *computer blue screens behind him* "ah shit"

  • my parents did the same thing only with 2 screens for there job

  • can someone tell me if i am correct?

if i buy the new monitors (lg or samsung with usb)than it is not necessary for the adapters anymore?

i have now a laptop and want to expand my view with two more monitors.

so if i download the drivers from the site, and buy a usb hub (or a docking station)and connect it to my laptop than i can start using?

or do i need a external graphic card?

    regards,

    mehmet

  • that is correct

  • with onyl 1 graphics card? does this work with desktop? I dont have room for anymore graphics card i only have 1 pci-e card and 2 monitors already attached to it i need a 3rd monitor

  • You don't need another graphics card, all you need is a DisplayLink eVGA or Kensington USB to Analog/DVI adapter, 1 per new monitors, and you can add up to 6 new monitor over USB either directly connected to the USB ports on your Desktop or Notebook or via a USB hub.

  • thats 1 expensive adaptor lol... and will it handle flight simulator X?

  • The adapters sell for $59 to $120, depending on the resolution of the monitor that you want to use. I haven't tried Flight Sim X, but in Vista some games are supported.

  • Time to buy 5 more 22" monitors xD

  • Myself I can see some use in having two monitors, having one occupied with a full screen application while having the other as "surveilence" of ie. chat, mail, RSS feed, news, support line whatever. But adding more is more cool than it is useful... just get a bigger monitor instead.

  • wont this overload the computer in question? Six monitors is alot for a laptop (or macbook in my case).

  • i dont udnerstand how you plug the monitor to the computer through usb and it decieves a signal to display an image. i have a gateway 2400 and a gateway fpd2485w with usb ports but isn't the monitor looking for a signal from vga, dvi, component, composite or s-video???

  • New tech FTW.

It's just like how you can connect 2 pc's with a double male usb cable. No ethernet required.

    Same principle.

  • what if my monitor doesn't have usb?

  • 0_0

Then, obviously, you need a compatible one -_-

  • Or you can buy a nVidia graphics card that has two DVI/VGA connectors and you can simply install a second monitor. Lol... More monitors is simply adding another graphics card if ur motherboard supports SLI...

  • Your motheeboard does not have to support SLI to use two graphics cards to have 3 or more monitors (usually 2 ports on one card), all SLI does is combine the processing power of the two cards, which is not required.

  • @timmie124 time upgrade my friend :)

  • @timmie124 Then you need a video card with multiple monitor support.

  • I can't tell, but are those 30 or 27 inch monitors?

  • i think there 27 because chris pirillo has 30 inch and his is biger

  • They're 24" LGs.

    Great monitors btw.

  • can we make it work with a macbook pro???

  • i'm sold, displaylinking is revolutionary (really)... user habits WILL be altered!

Where can i get one?? And when???

  • just what i was looking for thanks, lol!

  • Are The convertors or cables going from VGA to USB?, because i don`t have any usb monitors! and will that work?

  • how can the computer know the location of the added monitor?

  • As default the monitors always are extended to the right. However, when you place monitors, using the Diplay Manager in windows, the DisplayLink software remembers where you put them so we when you disconnect and connect and the monitors again they show up in the same spots.

  • Thanks for explaining! Now I understand why the computer knew immediately where the new monitor was located! Thanks!

  • WOnt be as good screen quality as multiple video cards will it? what if you dont want to use a laptop?

  • The technology works with any PC running Windows 2000, XP, or Vista including desktops. The performance is as good as a mainstream graphics card.

  • You can attached up to 6 monitors to USB using a Hub on any USB 2.0 notebook or desktop PC. DVD video, HD (720p), and 3D all work with Vista.

  • Good bye VGA !!!
