Okay.
I'll just say it.
Why re-envision, without re-envisioning FORWARD, TOWARDS the point of the book?
You're spending all this time making "Cerebus" (1-25) better, without bothering to make YOUR changes match up with DAVE'S changes.
Which will simply result in a jarring product come issue 26.
But hey. Not my project. Do what you please. You're just taking a bizarre twist.

We're focusing on the "funnier earlier stories" through the prism of later revelations offered in #196 regarding "the brute triumphant/fractured destiny"...all with an eye towards setting things up for issue #26 ("High Society").
