I just hope the independent voters, who normally don't pay too much attention to politics, are watching as the liberal bias in the mainstream media is on full display. They are jumping all over each other to find someway to discredit Sarah Palin. Please people, at least open your eyes to the agenda of the "objective" media. All of the attacks against Gov. Palin would normally be off limits if she were a liberal.
And what was John Edwards going to add to his presidential bid in 2004? Did he not foresee the lack of experience of his counterpart? How naive can John Kerry be? Or is it that he's really stupid and has been deceived by his own rhetoric? Kerry is a has been! How can Massachusetts reelect this asshole to the senate again this year? It's time to give him his pink slip!
Remember, folks, when you hear these comments: Kerry also accused our troops of breaking into Iraqi houses and threatening women and children in the middle of the night.
Wrong then, and wrong now. He's an inside the Beltway eltists out of touch with America. Palin is from Alaska... as far away from the Beltway as you can get and still stay in America. Therefore, a breath of fresh air in American politics.
ToddonCapeCod- stop wasting your time posting RNC talking-points and cluttering these boards with your right-wing banter. If you want to post so much go to hannity's or rush's website where I'm sure your baseless posts will at least be read. The Palin pick was nothing but transparent, blatant pandering to the wackjob evangelical and christian extremist base that got bush elected in 04'. Kerry was, and is right.
tooldruid- The Palin pick was transparent, but not for the reasons you've cited. It's actually very similar to the Clarence Thomas pick for the Supreme Court. It's designed to show the independents that liberal America isn't really interested in free thought. By leftist standards Thomas didn't tow the line, therefore he was unacceptable. Palin, sure she's a woman, but she doesn't tow the liberal line. How dare a woman not share the same radical views of Planned Parenthood?
She's not a Washington insider. She's as far from that "Inside the Beltway" mentality as you can get. You Kool Aid drinkers can't stand that she sucked all the oxygen out of your messiah's post-convention momentum.
Keep drinking the Kool Aid. Obviously truth won't get through to your thick skulls. But, when you're let down in November, don't say I didn't warn you. I will just sit her, smug as all hell! And you can try again in 4 years, with two more "insiders" to try running! HAHAHA
Your president has an approval rating below 30%. Do you really think that you're in a position to judge presidential candidates anymore? Your judgment is clearly terrible.
I don't listen to polls. I don't listen to moonbats or idiot Democrats -- who are at a 9% approval rating, BTW. And I certainly don't listen to John "stuck in Iraq" Kerry, who better watch his back because there are people in his own party gunning for his position. MA voters clearly rejected his, Kennedy's, and Deval Patrick's endorsement of your messiah and gave the state to Hillary- though I am not holding my breath, it will be a wonderful thing if the Dems of MA reject the messiah in Nov too
ramsus- Bush's approval rating is proportional to the non-stop leftist demagoguery he has had to endure from the "mainstream" press. But don't worry, Americans are starting to wake up to a media that has no objectivity, and who has an interest in one candidate over another. Witness the attacks on Sarah Palin, they're already backfiring on the left, can't wait till November.
Yes, anytime your president does something stupid, it's not his fault - it's just that dang liberal bias in the media! You guys never own up to any failures, you just claim it's being presented in a biased way. I don't hear a lot of talk in this campaign about your accomplishments over the last 8 years. You've had 8 years and don't have much of anything to base your campaign on instead of negative attacks. Anyway, enjoy November. You guys are gonna get stomped.
ramsus- First if you're an American, Bush is OUR president not my president. 2nd, there were plenty of failures, right at the top of the list, another massive entitlement program that we can't afford; the prescription drug entitlement. Also, not fighting hard enough for the privatization of social security...shall I continue?
I see, so the problem is he's been too LIBERAL. Agree to disagree, you guys clearly aren't interested in taking off the partisan blinders and looking at the last 8 years objectively. Good luck in November, you're gonna need it.
ramsus- If the media keeps revealing their bias to a normally unaware and fickle center, we won't need luck. Keep up the vicious smears of Sarah Palin and it'll be as big a victory as when Reagan CRUSHED both Jimmy Carter and Mondale.

Let me guess ToddonCapeCod you have a poster of Adolf Hitler above your bed and you masturbate every night to your Master. You totally seem to be a Fascist Republican.
Never said any of that, but how many more times was the world going to sit by and let him give the finger to the world, after 14 UN resolutions and doing nothing, while he continued to be a threat in the region? Hmmm?
Oh, and when he paid thousands to Palestinian suicide bombers' families, that's a little thing called "ties to terrorism." DUUUUUUUUHH
This is just more irrelevant rambling and sheer jealousy from the Loser of 2004.
Kerry, you'd better start focusing your ass on what's going on, here in Massachusetts, because the voters are getting sick of you, just like they are of Deval Patrick. Kennedy's no longer relevant, because he'll be dead soon, so he'll never run again
Either Kerry is incredibly ignorant or very dishonest.
There are legitimate ways to criticize McCain or Palin. If Democrats do that, they have a good chance of winning. But when they go over the top and pretend to be so outraged and afraid of McCain and Palin (e.g. McCain takes orders for Limbaugh???)they end up looking like whiny liars giving us our daily feeding of bullshit.
He used Limbaugh as an example, and if you don't think that the other half of the reason he picked Palin was to pander to the severe-right conservatives I don't know what to tell ya.
"The first threshold test of ... a nominee in choosing a Vice President ... is that they come with the requisite experience in foreign policy and national security"
Like Kewrry's pick, John Edwards, former medical malpractice trial lawyer whose experience in foreign policy and national security amounted to part of one term as a US Senator.
Had Kerry won, Edwards would have completed a six year term when going into office. Palin's not even two years in. By my math, that's 33%.
Not to mention, Palin has ZERO foreign policy and national security experience. None at all. So even if Edwards had been in the Senate for a month, that's more than Palin has.
I never said Edwards had no foreign policy experience.... but then again, a 6 year stint in the Senate doesn't automatically bestow foreign policy experience on someone, either.... unless you count breakfast at International House of Pancakes!
Sen. Kerry said that Al Qaeda (Not Radical Muslims) was in 4 countries prior to 9/11
Gov Palin has stated that she is not interested in Iraq or foreign affairs. Sen Obama is in the Senate Committee & has talked with other leaders so by default he has more experience nationally & internationally.
Sen Obama & Biden know each other pretty well while Sen McCain & Gov Palin have only met once or twice.
Gov Palin is a pawn to capture female votes and she knows that.
Al Qaeda was in 4 countries? You'd never see Stephanopoulos say, "Well Sen. Kerry, I recall Al Qaeda bombings in Kenya, Tanzania, Yemen, Somalia, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan plus bases in Afghanistan & Sudan and cells in Egypt, Germany and the US all during the Clinton era." Stephy was there for a lot of this and could certainly come up with more than 4 to challenge him. Not all Al Qaeda, but there were suicide bombings from angry Muslims PRIOR to 9/11 in 32 or 33 countries.
How dare this buffoon refer to a legitimate companies profits as "windfall"? I don't care which socioeconomic group you belong to, you should recognize confiscatory taxation when you see it. Maybe we should have a "windfall" tax on Heinz ketchup, or Weight Watchers products, or Classico tomato sauce.
"We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs." -- From a letter signed by Joe Lieberman, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara A. Milulski, Tom Daschle, & John Kerry among others on October 9, 1998
Stephanopoulos gives this buffoon almost non stop air time to demagogue. Can you say media bias? Kerry voted for the Iraq war, period. He had access to the same intelligence as Bush. Now he's trying to pretend, with the help of the media, that he had nothing to do with it. Hypocrite!!!
If we could only produce energy from Democrat lies we could be energy independent tommorrow, Al qeada in only 4 countries John? you are a boldfaced LIAR!!!
I think we should focus on producing energy from Hydrogen, waste and natural forces. Solving our energy needs is a key to solving military aggression and our economy.
Herman Munster is such an idiot. He is no judge of experience. All you have to do is just look at the list of bills he has sponsored on Wiki. He has done nothing in the senate for the last 20 years. Except party and scam broads.

I means you paid a fortune to hear 'intellectuals' who are so stupid they still believe in Keynesian economics and socialism. Then they beg you for donations for the rest of your days. This is an insane rant. If Dem's had picked someone like Palin we'd have weeks of stories about 'the party of diversity' and how they support leaders that 'look like the country'. Instead Kerry compares her to Cheney and implies McCain is senile or something. Watch him bristle over her 'lack of experience' then flub when forced to compare Obama's Experience. Her accomplishments dwarf Obama's. She rocks!
Fortunately the "Dems" weren't cynical and lame enough to pick anyone like Sarah. I'm sure in your mind she's the best person for the job. Instead of slamming those damn ivy tower, elitist Dems, tell us why you this she's an excellent choice, the Best Person for the Job, why you think she'd make an excellent president if anything happened to John.
kerry is just mad because if he picked a woman instead of Edwards she would have spent less time fixing her hair than edwards and they could have campaigned more...
I see that you have read the standard hack "cynical" blog editorials over the weekend about the pick of Palin. It's nice to see a liberal confirm their raging string of identity politics, immediately boiling down people to race, gender, age, class.
"McCain picked Palin! How dare he pander to women!" Have you noticed who has been reacting to the choice? The conservative base.
You are also using fear, forcing people to react to the concept of McCain dying. Identity politics and fear. Bravo.
Palin has a four year degree from the University of Idaho in Communications and two years experience as a governor of Alaska which doesn't have anywhere near the problems of any other State in the Union. She has no practial experience that relates to the majority of Americans with the greater economy, foreign relations, social issues, etc.
The fact is if Palin would have tried to run for President on her own, the GOP would have laughed her out of Iowa. She's not fit to step in to be President!
Who is trying to scare voters now? Assuming McCain will die are we?
The fact is, Obama has been in a polling freefall all summer. A generic Dem polls 10 points up from a Republican in this cycle and pre-DNC, Obama was running even, down in one or two polls.
Obama ran scared to a white haired Washington lifer, to give his ticket some actual experience. Non-executive experience I might add. Obama is a machine hack candidate with no confidence in his own platform.
I'm stating the facts! Sorry they don't equate in your one side slanted view.
Obama picked a person he knows, trusts, can work with, adds value to the ticket, and can be fully trusted to perform as President in crisis. McCain did none of these things.
Whose going to be in his cabnet? The Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders!
i am not sure that John McCain is smart enough to be calculating. He is the front man for the many gamers surrounding him. That probably sounds strange. Bush was not in control of 911, but he was not supposed to be near it when it happened, so he knew about it unless he was drugged that day. He had a look of resignation that day in the elementary school. It is best to have a stupid president for a scheming evil hierarchy or power gang.
Yep, you're right: climate change is total bull shit. I'm sure you can tell us why you know better than the overwhelming majority of the scientific community. Let's hear it.
al gore is not an overwhelming majority, he is just so fat it appears that he is a majority. more than 400 scientists including the head of NASA have said warming and cooling is a naural occurence, have you ever heard of pangea, the ice age? if the planet has changed so much over billions of years why would you expect the temp. to stay the same?
and when they say it is the warmest ever to they mean since the earth's crust cooled from its magma state or since they invented the thermometer?

Drones.

You called me dumb, and went with the standard hippie-chic ad hominem.

Palin is a joke of a VP pick.

But Obama for President is not a joke, right?

i am not sure that John McCain is smart enough to be calculating.

John kerry is wrong. Palin worked with the cannadian gov for oil pipe lines. Climate change is total bull shit.

Yep, you're right: climate change is total bull shit. I'm sure you can tell us why you know better than the overwhelming majority of the scientific community. Let's hear it.

al gore is not an overwhelming majority, he is just so fat it appears that he is a majority. more than 400 scientists including the head of NASA have said warming and cooling is a naural occurence, have you ever heard of pangea, the ice age? if the planet has changed so much over billions of years why would you expect the temp. to stay the same?
and when they say it is the warmest ever to they mean since the earth's crust cooled from its magma state or since they invented the thermometer?
edzo4 3 years ago 2
by the way, who told Al Gore what the temperature of the planet is supposed to be?

What a tool. His comments reinforced why he was defeated in 2004. Out of touch with reality.

Get the fact from the debates. Don't listen to this liar with his ill-gotten gains whose fellow troops would not even support him.
