i got to meet stochelo in a train station in paris a few years back, (i was waiting for my train, and saw 3 guys carrying guitars and a bass hurry past....i thought to myself, "thats gotta be a gypsy jazz band" so imagine my surprise when i looked at one of the guys and it was stochelo!!!) he seemed shocked that anyone (let alone an american, who spoke no french) would recognize him. he was as gracious as anyone could be, and it was one of the highlights of my life!
