  • PRESS THE ORANGE KEY AND MOVE THE TEXT

  • its circle

  • my palm pre couldn't detect any bluetooth device and I can't figure it out why.can you help me please?

  • you mention only being able to download from amazon with wifi. isn't this phone only available with the data plan?

  • With the recent updates, you are now able to download mp3s over wifi and the wireless network.

But to my knowledge, you are correct. I believe if you get the phone you have to get into some data plan.

  • i really want this phone but im not sure if i should get the iphone, personally this looks better, is there anything it lacks compared to iphone? and how is it as an mp3 player, can you use like an ordinary mp3 like the iphone? or is it not really good for that. please get back to me thanks ;]

  • Perhaps the biggest thing it lacks compared to the iPhone is Apps (but more coming everyday) and accessories. You can find accessories for an iPhone just about anywhere, but not so much for the Pre. Other than that, it uses regular MP3s and other audio files. I use it as my primary MP3 player and I think it works great for that. Let me know if you have any more questions.

  • ive been haveing some problems with getting wallpapers from somewhere els.. can you show me how toy got your??

  • Uploading a video in a few minutes for you. I don't go into detail about transferring pics from your computer to your phone so if you need more info about that, let me know.

Check out the second half of the new video. The first part shows people how to change wallpapers on their phone, which is another question I get asked a lot. The second part shows how to set your images from the net as your wallpaper which I think is what you are looking for..

  • it would be nice if u could show us a media transfer from cpu to phone....good video i subscibed

  • can you set a pic as ur sreensaver

  • Yep, you can pick any image that's on the phone, or even on the web (via downloading it to your phone) and set it as your background on your phone.

  • For the problem you had around 3:30ish, about the dial pad disappearing, I've found that if you shake or tilt the phone backwards and fore wards it comes back.

I have to use extensions every time I call my mom or dad at work and I'm able to use the dial pad no problem, without having to open the keyboard.

  • cAnN U maKE a viDeo tHat u cAn doWnlOAd mUSic 2 maKee a ringtone fo the phone ?

  • JR!!!!. Thanks a mil. You help me with my Palm Pre big time.

  • thank you this is a good video because i just learned something new..problem solved

  • I also use the swipe up to bring up the launcher.

  • funny, i never use the button thingy to get out of an app. i find it easier to do the mini-swipe up from the "gesture area" to the screen. it's a very small swipe and works really well, especially when you plan to exit a program completely

  • wow this helped me i dnt have the pre yet but i have been watching videos and i saw yours and u have aculy explained more than people who are ment to review these phones haha

  • how do i delete a program i already downloaded?

  • Hold down the orange button on the keyboard and touch the app you want to delete at the same time.

    Have a good one!

  • you can hold the orange button down and press c to highlight and cut text it has cut and paste.....u need to read the manual

  • good vid everything u covered i knew but this is a very helpful video 5 star rating good job

  • Also, if you click on the icon for the page before you add it to the launcher, you can change what it displays as the icon.

Click on it, it'll load the page in the background, with a white box in the foreground and you can zoom in and around the page to select what you want to use as the launcher icon.

  • Thank you sir! That's awesome!

  • nice addition :)

  • I haven't read any of the comments past the first page so if i repeat information, my bad. If your keypad goes away during a call you can bring it back up with one of the 4 buttons below the end button (first is speaker phone, then mic mute, then keypad, then add caller). Also the phone has a proximity detector so if when u put the phone up to your ear it will blank the screen. Although I tested this out with my hand while calling my voicemail ^^.

  • oh, also, if you're on a phone call, and you have the keyboard slid out, you can use the number pad on keyboard as well.. You don't even have to press and hold the orange key :)

  • Good call (no pun intended).

  • the up and down scroll, for some reason, only works if there is more than one line of text.

  • i know that u cant use the phone and data at the same time but can u use the phone and wifi at the same time?

  • Yes you can use the phone and wifi at the same time.

So for example, if you are on a call and you want to look something up in the web browser (or anything that involves getting data over the web), you have to be connected to a network via WiFi.

Without a WiFi connection you cannot use your phone and browse the web at the same time.

  • Really helpful, thanks.

  • i got pre and i never use the wave launcher nor the zoomin out

  • I've started using both a lot and they work great!

  • First off really nice reviews... The question about Battery-Life would interest me as well... oh and isn't there supposed to be a manual out there with the gestures? I mean I would not come to the idea to hold an orange button and click to delete a launcher...

  • does ur battery life suck? bc mine do...

  • man i havn't see that text thing and for a little bit i thought that wuz gonna be the make or brake it for the phone but because i need a new phone anywayz and i've been waiting for this phone since january i think it really didnt matter...but that wuz really kewl that u figured that out...i probably wouldn't have lol

  • Join one of the pre forums around, they're awesome at giving you all the tips and tricks surrounding the phone.

  • Good stuff. I also want to mention that in amazon MP3 store you can preview the song by tapping it. I know it has helped me a lot when buying music on my Pre.

  • thefluxlife, I take it you're way too much excited about the phone that you kind of forgot that in order to open the wave launcher, you have to swipe up (and hold) *from the gesture area*... hihi... ;) (and I don't even have it yet, 'cause I'm in Europe... sigh...)

  • Very true! Well I can't wait to see your videos when you review your Pre! Keep me posted!!

    Have a good one!

  • Sadly, I have to wait for the GSM one to come out... :(
