  • hey, is there a match color option in photoshop 7? how can i match the color of 2 faces in photoshop 7??? pls help!!!

  • @includemeatmjackson Answer Part 1--I don't have Photoshop 7 anymore, but I don't think it is in that version. The concept is more in line with changing the color temperature of the image to match another image. So if you have an image as a source, add a Levels adjustment layer. In that box DOUBLE click the gray eyedropper IN THE LEVELS BOX to set and sample a part of the image that is supposed to be neutral, like a sidewalk or white wall.

  • @includemeatmjackson Answer Part 2--The Set Target Midtone Color box will be open and the new color will be selected after you click a neutral area. Click OK and a box will open asking if you want to save it as the new default. Say yes. Now add a Levels Adjustment layer on to your target document. SINGLE CLICK on the gray eyedropper in the Levels Box then with that selected click on a neutral area in the target document.

  • @includemeatmjackson Answer Part 3--Then adjust then lower the opacity of the Levels adjusment layer to better match the image. To reset the Levels back to their defaults, save and close your target document.

Double click the Levels layer and Click the flyout tab to choose Reset Levels.

  • Very clear and well presented! Thanks!

  • Hi I do skins in photoshop for 3d avatars in second life and poser how to I match the neck to the face it always is out a shade or 2 but would be great for a simple solution could you help please ??

  • Put a sampler point on the neck and set the info palette to cmyk for point 1 on that file. Put a sample point on the face for its point 1, do the same. Compare the numbers and use Curves individual Channels R, G, B. Control click on the point it will put an anchor at the curve location and use up/down arrow keys to move so the number gets closer to the target.

  • Your so nice, and knowledgeable about this... I love it... ^_^ ...

  • it look the same

  • Love your sugar-sweet voice!

  • i love u mama ^^ :P

  • I found something decent that helped bridge the gap. Thanks for the response.

  • 90% of the time this works for me, and 10% of the time this doesn't. No matter how much you slide it. Any suggestions for when this doesn't work?

  • Without having the actual images in question for when it doesn't work, would be impossible for me to attempt to come up with a solution. You can send to me and then I'll take a look and let ya know!

  • Im not a photoshop expert so hang in there with me. I am a newbie using Photoshop but what I have realised is that it's all about the layer you have selected at the time. A common mistake I have made on many ocassions. Make sure you have the layer that you want to minipulate selected. I have found that remembering this you will stop running into the same mistakes that i did. If this info is usless, I do apologise.

  • Far from useless dear...it's KEY!

  • thanks alot

  • hm cant find the option in Photoshop Elements 6

  • This is only for the full versions Photoshop CS through CS3. It is NOT for Elements at all.

  • oh ok, but I thought when you said "it's available to all previous version of photoshop as well" you also meant Elements.

  • Adobe can be blamed for the confusion by naming 2 completely different products in a similar manner. Photoshop Elements has always been a program that costs around $50 to $100, whereas Photoshop is around $600. Whenever I say Photoshop I am referring to the professional software--the higher price one which has tons more features and functionality over Elements. If I do refer to the $100 program I will say Elements not Photoshop. Hope this makes things clearer.
