Thanks man worked perfect, I tried 000webhost but doesn't seem to work. So i got x10 and worked like a charm. This works on smf 2 rc5 if you guys didnt know.

That could be because you have entered the wrong username, database name or password. To find your Db name go to the control panel and click on "my MySQL databases"

With the CPanel thing being confusing to people with different hosts you should use file zilla on tutorials so it will be the same for everyone.

Dont Worry About What Verison that site is its the same basic steps just follow after setup but if you realy need another tutorial i can do one just msg me but his is perfect and if you dont get it from there well your not to bright

the forum title can be edited by going to configuration and then selecting server settings. As you scroll down you will see forum title which you can name whatever you like.

Listen to the video guys. And adamemery2008, you have the right mind. If you all are complaining so much, just PAY for hosting and then get better service. JustHost and 000webhost are the best to buy from. Now you all be quiet and appreciate the fact that he made the video.

I have tried vBulletin, but it was a cracked version. I can't afford the $180 (give or take some) license fee. And to be honest, the cracked versions are useless since you do not have access to their mod and themes website, so you have to look for specific mod versions for a specific cracked vb. It gets really messy, so I'd rather stick to the legal programs. I personally use HostGator, pay $10/month for unlimited bandwidth and diskspace. =D

OK i love u man i did it i tried a bunch of different hosting and none of them worked lol i worked on my forums for about 9 hrs straight then unfortunately i installed a shout box that corrupted the site (TEAR) but im gonna do it all again tomorrow. cant thank you enough keep up the good work and people it does work just mess with it for a while follow the vid step by step especially on the info when u get to setting up the forum. thanks.

hey! the site was a great way to get a forum easy. I used it for a good 2 years before graduating to SMF. Its a great way to learn before you skip the insturctions and get into the more advanced. Learn slowly, then move on.

I used this. Eventually got a SMF forum up on x10. I suggest you set up your x10 account in advance that can take some time as the email they send you can take a couple of days to get to you. But the rest is great if a little quick.
