Loved this series when I was a child. Been trying to find it for years. Great to be able to watch it again. Met Benedict Taylor a few years ago and we talked about this, he was lovely.

No wonder this was a good series for adolescents. This is a quest for identity, just like adolescence itself (and life), and of course it taps on the great fear of teenagers: discovering that one is not who one thinks is, adoption. Great script. Quite an intelligent series.

Very promising first episode. I see that it's dated 1980, but I don't remember the series at all. Must have been watching something else on BBC1!
