Hey Buck I had to move back in with my parents get this they are Jehovah Witnesses. I have no life no friends and my family hates me. The make me go to their church 2 a week. My buddy ‘came out’ over the phone (while drunk) to his strict Christian parents a year ago. Thing is, it was just a joke- he’s actually totally straight.
Unfortunately, they took it VERY seriously (he found out later), attending several months of counselling & prayer groups before tearfully informing him that they’d gotten over their “abhorrence” & were OK with his lifestyle. It’s clearly cost them plenty in terms of emotional pain & trauma- now he has to conceal his GF whenever they visit!
A-hole parents kid...here are some things that i think you should also do to your asshole parents...my mom is a counselor so I know that you should get into counseling and resolve your anger with your F***ing parents! Also...ignore them, but also give it time. Like Buck said, in the end they will be sorry that they didn't have a healthy relationship with their innocent son! Or if want to continue hanging out with them then tell them calmly that the things they say do hurt and that they need to stop (advice from one of the first four episodes in playlist btw). I have a great friend named Michael (ROFL Weird.) who's also just came out to his parents, and his parents don't talk to him or socialize with him or even LOVE him as much as they used to before he came out. The only one who understands him in his whole family is one of his aunts. He's afraid that if he expresses himself or gets a boyfriend or something, his parents won't pay his way through college, and he wants to be a teacher and is going to need a lot of school. :(

@anitoons2 If you are being left out, then try and find another group of people who won't make fun/bully you. Or if want to continue hanging out with them then tell them calmly that the things they say do hurt and that they need to stop (advice from one of the first four episodes in playlist btw). If they are really your friends they will stop what they are doing, but if they don't then please find others to hang with. They are not worth your time.

You should not abandon your parents! Some parents just feel guilty and confused when they find out their kid is gay. They just don't understand so you will have to explain to them. They didn't disown you. That counts for something. They are dealing with the situation in their own way.

I have a great friend named Michael (ROFL Weird.) who's also just came out to his parents, and his parents don't talk to him or socialize with him or even LOVE him as much as they used to before he came out. The only one who understands him in his whole family is one of his aunts. He's afraid that if he expresses himself or gets a boyfriend or something, his parents won't pay his way through college, and he wants to be a teacher and is going to need a lot of school. :(

Mikel, if they don't accept you then they can fuck off. They are not worth your time or effort. I came out to my parents once and they grounded me till I took it back. My mother actually told me she'd rather have me addicted to crack then gay. I still to this day wish that I would've stuck up for myself. It's not worth it to care what other people think. Good luck!

I have been put down by my best friend for twelve years, and the only reason i think we are still friends is because of all the shit we have been through. If they are really your friends they will come to you. Go off on your own, and if they talk to you, and ask where you have been then they obviously do care.

As for making new friends, maybe join a club or sport outside of school and meet people that share your interests there. the self essteem thing was the same for me but i just made a list of good things about me n bad things and asked my friends to do the same and the good list was bigger then the bad i think she should do that :) and the friends drifting apart can happen for various reasons but there maybe an event soon that brings you back together and talk to them explain how you feel maybe it will fix things :)

i have a question for anybody it may be in two parts.... hey well i have been friends with a girl who is a year younger than me for about 2 years not and we have fights verbal fights and like 10mins later we are fine but recently we had a big fight and now we cant make up and i dont want to really but i wana be her frend but mutualy not a frend who has to listen to all there problems!! like she constantly says oo my life is shitty i wanna die. and this was posted on my birthday lmao woo 4/18/95
