  • Just watching a favorite nutn re-run. Wish I was doing that tight now! Hopefully Alley will be back at those squerrels soon! LOL

  • Awsome video!

  • have you tested the cold steel recon?

  • keep up the good work !!!

  • Nutnfancy I love your videos, and you are and fantastic person. and I love the way YOU do the things, you make some amazing videos, you are amazing keep up the good work! Peace.

  • nutnfancy has a high opinion of himself

  • huh

  • i know this is very old vid now....but just curious, how did the Blackhawk Tatang do as camping/survival knife? :/

  • The high skies series will always be one of my very favorites!

  • Have you tried a esbit stove?

  • @tfoshohoe I have. They burn very nicely and make for good cooking, but it dirties up and blackens the outside of your pot, so don't cook with that overpriced REI cookware. Use the cheap stuff.

  • @gravityprone Yeah I like mine. Thanks for the reply back and the advice.

  • all i can say is thanks.

  • I wonder if Veri or Mrs. NutnFancy ever teased Nutn about Broke Back Mountain (not an insult, just a joke)

  • excellent series loved it

  • They call that stench from the campfire smoke on your clothes " Campfire Cologne." I heard in west virginia its a poor mans perfume. Drives the ladies wild.

  • my god being in east texas with boring flat humid woods arnt the most scenic outings..... what i would give to even go on one trip with you nutn! i sure would learn alot too..

  • @aldaman8 The east texas pines may not be outwardly beautiful, but they certaintly are beautiful in their own special way.

  • I live in Seattle and this vid series is inspiring me to take advantage of the mountains we have out here. Thanks bud!

  • Nutn do you use a Kodak ZI8? I'm asking because I use the same tripod you showed and it broke on me...

  • If nutn and Bugget were to go into survival mode, I wonder which one would be the big spoon? lol

By the way, I loved the music choices for this series.

  • Great series

  • Very inspiring vids, Nutnfancy! They all were very helpful to me for choosing equipment and stuff. And most important - they reminded me that we all have to stay in touch with nature...

Keep up the good work! Best regards from Bulgaria to you and the family!

    Kalio.

    P.S +1 fan of Fallkniven A1

  • A great series! Worth every moment of it.

Thanks for all your hard work.

  • @nutnfancy what i would like to see is the military cannel or something to put a show showing you guys testing real gear and actually survive just like this on youtube and then we would not only have someone to fund a bunch of trip in the wilderness you would be able to tell more than just a few hundred thousand viewers but millions and be able to share all the things and opinions and techniques that would benefit a ton of people

  • I must have watched through this series half a dozen times now, I can't help it! Every time I miss the Rockies, or just want some Nutnfancy/BuggetNuster philosophy, this is just the answer I look for... Thank you for all that you do Nutnfancy, and a big oorah to Veri and the rest of the crew!

  • You guys are so lucky that you get to go on all of these adventures. I wish I had some excitement in my life.

  • The same thing could be said about the Virginia Tech incident. If a good "Sheep Dog" had been on that campus that day, perhaps not so many innocent lives would have been lost. However, thanks to the rule against students not being allowed to carry firearms on campus a lot of lives were lost that probably shouldn't have been. I love your videos Nutnfancy, I look forward to new ones all the time, keep them coming!

  • what's "bok"

  • @yonatantt Bug out kit --- Veri

  • ever have racoons getting into things at night? im sure they would love some beans!

  • dude i love your fire making skills. never boring

  • Been subscribed for a while. The backpacking vids are just absolutely stellar! I've been backpacking for years and don't get to get out nearly enough. Your videos give me a taste of what I love in between trips. Show us some trout fishing on your bivouacs and you'll really warm the heart! Oh and the survival show is played out! Keep up the project.

  • Dude if your planning another hiking trip you should test out the SOG 'Jungle Primitive' LOVE THE AWSOME VIDS!!! THANK YOU

  • Even though these came out late last year, I am just now enjoying the "High Skies" series!

Great job once again, Nutn', Allie, and FartBuster!!!

  • Hey nutnfancy - I really like your vids. I come from germany and doing some adventure here isn´t so easy like in the states. Please make some other adventure-videos. I love them to watch - so please go on with it.

Best regards to you and Nutn's sister ;-)

  • @HUBERTUSBBN Hi HUBERT, and I love the adventure videos too. He's got part 1 of Glacier Call up..very adventuresome, with more parts to come. Also he has plans for a few more this summer. I can't wait. And thanks for the nice comment..hellooo to Germany. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • 24:00 - Hell to the yeah. You're living the life already, why give a share of that time to someone who'd just use your name and not your teachings or your wisdom? You rock, Nutnfancy.

  • This series was fun to watch and I learned a lot. Keep up the good work!

  • Awesome series!

  • I am stationed in Afghanistan and you boys were making me homesick BAD!!

    Great Job!

    Moniteaumule

  • @moniteaumule BE SAFE! Come home safe. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • how would a kbar do? do you think it would break?..i have never broken one but i have broken gerbers

  • Hey Nutnfancy, I know you've gotta lot on your plate, but it'd be really cool if you stayed over night more often on your hiking films. Would like to see your tent setup etc.

    Cheers

  • wow i wish i didn't live in Chicago i would rather live in the woods and fend for myself i guess its just a 17 year olds dream lol still would be nice though

  • 43:50 - 44:05 was epic

  • Ya i guarantee if you went to discovery it wouldnt be a show about you and ways of thinking, it would be what other people tell you to do. Keepin it real is what makes you the best.

  • when i go camping i always bring MRE meals ready to eat

  • mmm campfire beans and dry salami making me drool

  • I don't even LIKE beans, but those beans look good. I got him some Backpacker's Pantry lasagna and chocolate mousse (haha!) to take up in the mountains after I saw that..just to crack him up. I'll bet he'd MUCH rather have the beans. -- Veri

  • great vid again, nutn. great knife clinic. glad to see you using the kershaw d2 blade. awesome!

the wife sat in while i was taking notes. the wife's gotta know what's that celtic-themed soundtrack your playing in the beginning and the end? thanks man and God bless.

  • Another awesome vid! I know you don't carry that many knives on a regualr basis, but any reason you dont carry a small axe? I like the swedish small hunters' axes from Wetterlings or Gransfurs Bruks. Superior steel and not super heavy.

  • Guys i love your vids. Last week i lost my wife!

And i look at your vids as much as i can, i feel , its helping me come over a great lost!!

If i see you guys , i say health and good friendship has more value than a million in the bank. Enjoy every day... carpe diem!!!

    Keep on making beautiful vids!!

  • mt hard wear rocks

  • hey nutin u r awesome. keep up the good work.

  • what do u suggest as an inexspensive edc knife or a good but not to pricy survival knife?

  • hey nutin u r awesome. keep up the good work.

  • I'm new to this whole outdoors hiking. I love camping I always go camping with my mom but I was wondering about a really good midsize blade I know you reccommened the SRK and the A1 in the vid are there anymore? Right now my primary blades are a SOG seal pup elite and a Mora Clipper. I like stainless a bit more just cuz its less maitnence. sorry about the length.

  • nutn kicks ass

  • cool guys...

  • Nutn*-I gotta tell you man...i got turned onto your vids very recently and i can't stop watching them. Like you i am an AVID outdoorsman. I grew up with my father doing many of the things that you do in your vids. I now have 2 children of my own and am anxiously awaiting the times and memories that i will create with them doing some of the very things you express in your vids. PLEASE keep up the good work showing the real things that a person should know as well as appreciate. Thank You

  • You two crack me up! Love the video!

  • One of my favorite series' from you. Love the outdoors, I need to get out more and these definitely inspire me.

  • Watered my eyes with homesickness. Thanks Bros.

  • Looks like a good trip! Sorry to see the MSR stove let you down. Check out a Vargo Decagon alcohol stove. No moving parts, valves or other variables too leave you in the lurch! One of these fueled by some yellow bottle Heet and you're set!

  • Nutnf. and bugget, guys why don,t you give outdoor courses. I am shure a lot of guys will join my opinion. I am a dutchman and i would have to save money a long time, but shooting and survival stuff with you guys would be a dream of me!!! god bless you!!

  • I would go

  • hehe, you guys should have brought up some Venison (deer) LOL, mmmmmmmm. You guys are making me want to go back out in the woods again and camp out.

  • so this is like 4 hours of wood choping

  • I did it! And in 2 weeks will make another one. Tks for the advise!

  • This vid is a perfect example of how important friend are and the memories you will have.Memories of a great time are priceless. Love TNP

  • Great vid nutn

And I think that discovery thing would be really cool as long as you could do it on your own terms, which isn't too likely, but again great video, great info, keep up the good work. I appreciate your vids. Thanks

  • hell i just spent 700 on a nice 6 man military tent. and it comes with a wood stove and stove pipe... and come on it fits 6 military cots

  • when my dog eats that not dry food, i wont let him lick me for 2 days lol.

Awesome video nutn. again. I keep saying it.

it is much better then telisvision today,

but the 31:54 food looks kinda...unnice??haha

    Keep it up,

    Marc

  • that scenery is beautifull

  • lol, watch that vid, AGIN

this time when it's winter here & cold

and now i have a piece of baloney in hand as well :)

  • Hey, thanks so much TNP; you've really inspired me to do many outdoors adventures and hikes, and even some blade testing of my own. Seeing the amount of fun you and bugget had out there, made that change. I'd love to see more knife and maybe some machete videos, that's be awesome, I enjoy them more than the gun ones, but that's just me I guess. I realize you're extremely busy, and you're doing outstandingly well, but a review of maybe a Kukri machete would be awesome. Thanks! Keep it coming : )

  • Great stuff man !!

can we see some more of these expedition/wilderness type vids..

    Very enjoyable viewing...

  • The minimum blade I would take backpacking is a Ka-Bar BK-7. Good Video/Review.

  • does anyone know the name of the musci at the beginning? thx

  • What camera did you guys use? Nice quality.

  • is the bok vid comming soon

  • "I tried to slip a Sprite Zero into Bugget's pack but he busted me with it..."

Hahaha! I did that to my friend this fall but he got JUST before we left the truck! Greatness!

Cool series, Nutn, keep keepin it real!

  • May i ask where you live??

    \

  • Sorry, man, such personal details are not publicly disclosed.

The best available estimation of where Nutn lives is "in the US".

  • O no bro it is totally ok! The reason why i was wondering is because i saw that he was in the mountains and just wanted to know what state that was.

  • Utah, USA

  • Really like the video series. Subscribed.

  • WOOT this video was featured

    congrats nutn and veri

  • steal, very cool of you to let me know! I love to text Nutn little things like that, and I ALWAYS manage to miss them. Thanks so much! -- Veri

  • eh, do you guys have bears up that way, most likely black bears I would think? Here in Minnesota I had a few encounters with black bears.

  • @nutnfancy Im sad this is the last of the series of videos i love watching them think nutn will make more vids like this

  • @thejustinl1 These are my favorites too. Don't be sad though, he's got another great outdoor/backpacking series already in the idea phase. Right now his jobs are working him to death, so he's doing a lot of planning. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • @nutnfancy Wait the videos are DONE!!!! I will literally kill myself if these videos are over?!!?! I love this channel and I look up at him like an idol, or a awesome friend.

  • @nutnfancy Because I don't have time to watch 170 minutes of this adventure, could you please tell me whether or not you demonstrate the Ka-Bar Bowie (not the Becker, although a demonstration of that would be cool too). If so, could you tell me where I should fast-forward to in the four videos to see it?

  • @Supermassively I can't remember whether he does or not. Sorry --- Veri

  • Beautiful video! Enable ratings. *****

  • excellent

  • Absolutly love all your work, but be careful nutn....familiarity breeds contempt..

  • While I have kids in their early twenty s, I have a new one on the way that I hope to do many years of this type of adventure with, High Skystruly inspiring. It's nice to see you speak the truth, and tell everyone how this PC ideology is a bunch of BS. If we could all be honest, show some respect to each other and rely on ourselves instead of a hand out, the government or some of this rampant entitlement thought that a lot of people have in this country, we would be in a better place.

  • Well put Talon.... huge thumbs up.

  • There sure is corporate fractionalization and with Internet 2 it will be back to conglomeration and centralization. With Net Neutrality you will compelled if not outright forced to conform to PC and other political agendas. Their games are far from done in regards to control of media. Don't worry about Discovery, you can be a special guest or co-star one day on a different show. Stay with YT, they need you. ;)

  • There will be more of it... you may want to find someplace more suitable to spend your time.

  • if a man can't voice his opinion in his own videos, than I don't know where exactly he can voice his opinions.

  • love the vid

  • how did the k-bar or sog do ??? i personally would prefer a indian mohawk hachet.

  • you know these guys are up there doing a gear evaluation clinic right? In part 1 I think he mentions he's carry something like 20+ lbs of various knives so they can make reviews based on real performance.

  • Go hack a bear with a machete, we'll notify you're next of kin to come and identify the corpse. ;)

  • Good one, wulf! Daddy like ^^

  • lmfao, Machetes are horrible at chopping and splitting wood. This is because the metal is too thin, a Machete with a 1/4 inch blade would be a freaking sword and needless to say, bulky as hell.

  • Take it easy, don't worry, look at how many sharp blades these military-trained guys have ^^

They're TESTING those blades for goodness sake.

As to the machetes and zombies... duh!

  • I have a nice leather handled estwing. I would never abuse a knife this way.

  • 5 stars!!

  • I think I am one of the ones who asked about bug out kits hehe

  • oh why did you disable ratings i was guna give it 5 stars awesome vid and series

  • Great vid, I will hopefully be able to spend time in the Sierra Range or Rockies, both are beautiful.

  • Don't forget the Cascades; they're beautiful, too. And they have volcanoes to keep you warm at night!

  • I like to bring those small, green propane tanks (Home Depot, like 3$) lasts a week if your hiking/camping. I can then screw anything that fits on it. A small light, a "single gas range" (weighs about a 1/4 lb) Always reliable. Always efficient. Adaptable to many other camp/hiking stuff. Another idea (that works for me) is one of those square, boat seat/float devices with straps on the sides. Very light weight. Can attach it to backpack and about 3 inches thick. Nice on the butt :)

  • Dang, that 1st picture of the snowy mountains looks like where I live. Sierra's!

  • What an outstanding series this is. Just awesome. Thanks for sharing it and making us feel like part of your adventure.

  • What a wonderful adventure. Watching your vid made me feel like I got to come along and sit next to your fire. It's wonderful you make such an effort to find time and do this sort of thing. I appreciate you lugging a camera up there with you and filming all of this. Watching you start the fire was great.

Question: What were y'all carrying (firearms) and how did you choose to carry them?

  • 5 stars!

  • I just finished the vid.

This is better than any TV show.

  • Amazing. Thanks Nutnfancy.

  • I enjoy all the vids you do. I especially love the treks into the mountains. The music is cool too. You can do no wrong by me. Keep up the great work. I appreciate you and the whole crew. Semper fi, Jennifer

  • Totally agree. These vids are fantastic. Plus nearly 50k viewers can't be wrong.

Please keep 'em coming and thanks again!

  • I genuinely love that the MSR stove (or canister) failed! It just goes to show that even in ROL, it is important to not be overly reliant on (relatively) complex, manufactured/consumable items. :-D

  • Did raping the srk cold steel handle gain grip

  • Comment removed

  • Dude, you are supposed to WRAP it to gain grip.

Anything else you want to do to the poor handle, don't ask us - we don't wanna know.

  • Man i wish i lived closer to scenery like that. I have to drive hours to get anything close to this. Looks like you had fun. Be Safe and thanks

  • Hate it???

    I love it !!!!!

  • need some help with this. ony of you TNPers know the story of the two roman soldiers geting ready for battle and the young one turns to the older one and brags about what he's going to do to win.

  • That was great Nutnfancy. I really enjoyed it. You know how to inspire people. Please thank BuggetNuster for all of us for sharing your time together with us. As for your deal with Discovery.........I know that if you ever did it, it would be on your terms and you wouldn't change as a person. If you could do that and still reach out to those who are not on Youtube. There are more people that feel this way than we know, we just have to find them and connect.........thanks again.

  • where can i find this music. so soothing and calming

  • LOOK IN THE INFO

  • why are the ratings disabled? I got in before this took place, but I'm sure there are plenty of 5stars out there that want to be noted:)

  • Awesome set of vids Buddy. You are doing a great great job and it is very appreciated.

  • knives, guns, and camping, you are living the life my man. and the ending was very emotional.

  • Inspiring! Great job, Nutn, especially liked the music and the Confucius quote!

  • NUTN, you motivated me and my girlfriend to hike up in the mountains of Western Pennsylvania to cut down our Christmas tree. Of course had my ruck, level 2 First Aid, and cold steel blade! Keep up the great videos...gear, adventure, Mountain Dog, firearms, philosophy...awesome.

  • @ndileonardo im from pittsburgh. what part you from?

  • Your ratings are disabled so I'll do it here, 5 stars! Wish I was up there with you guys right now, talk about the best form of stress relief, sitting around a campfire, breathing in nature, solving all the worlds problems. Have a merry Christmas guys, cheers!

  • 11:29 LOVE IT! That was awesome, Nutn'! Love your philosophy. The way I live is just like that, and with every video you make it only reinforces what I do and my own personal philosophy. TNP!!!!

  • YES!

    I've been waiting for this!

    Thank you!

    5*

  • there are moore youtubers than discoveryers :)

  • Nice video, keep it up man.

  • why are the ratings disabled? D: *5

  • Towards the end of this video I started to think of the Blair Witch Project. Hmmm......

  • I would agree Nutn, keep it real!!!

  • Nutn great video. I really enjoy watching you and your buds on your adventures. Keep the vids coming. And I wanted to wish all the TNP fans a Happy Holiday season. I am looking forward to more adventures in the future.

  • The dog is loving it. My lab will swim in icy cold weather and be fine. They are built for it.

  • isnt the dog cold!?

  • Sweet vid

  • what make is that green anorak??? have been looking for ones in big sizes for layering anyone have a source ???

  • Comment removed

  • love your vid's nutn, thanks for taking time to film your FUN. And I love that music btw!! 5*'s even with it disabled!

  • Magnificent work, nutn..

But why would you remove ratings on such a work of art?

  • You wouldn't believe how many jealous worms there are on youtube, sniper. Apparently not everyone is in Christmas mood; failing to receive subs/ratings some nutnfancy-wannabies decided to blast Nutn down.

  • jake is right. The bigger we get (and my god we are growing at a scary, scary rate) the more haters we attract. We're really trying to focus on the positives though, although I'll admit, for me, it is really hard sometimes not to slap back. Nutn handles it a lot better than I do. People like jake REALLY help me try to stay grounded. -- Veri

  • Some people need to grow up fast, there is a lot of good information that nutn and his buddies give, and also others that provide good intel, everybody has his own style of doing it,good for them, and bye the way, for the haters, this time Youtube and others WILL do something

  • come on... plop that dog food on a rock at least... dont just put it on the dirt. my dog saw it and was pissed!

  • Ha ha! Nice post!

  • Pak, I thought the same thing!!! Hahaha. He'll bring a sleepin bag for her, he needs to bring a little plate! ;) -- Veri (Nutn's sister)
