This proves once again that more learning happens outside of school, "Where you are comfortable and with your friends," as Collins said, than in the classrooms. We need to rethink formal education from start to finish and maybe just dump it altogether, as home schooling is waaaaaaaay more successful even than private schooling, and government ("public") schools are a disaster and a disgrace.

I've watched this movie 4 times. It is very touching and very inspiring. How one blessed family can change one person, vice versa and changed others. I salute you Tuohy Family. May God Bless This Family. Ameen.

@atukaji1 I recommend you buy and read the books: "The Blind Side" by Michael Lewis and "In A Heartbeat" by Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy. The actual events of this story are even more amazing and inspiring than the movie, which took some liberties with the facts, as Hollywood always does.

God bless this family, oh my goodness! I just watched this movie for the first time today, and I was blown away! It was so sad, but its amazing how God sent this family to be a blessing upon another person. It amazes me how he can go from living in the 'hood' with no education, no proper place to sleep to a very SMART, educated, athlete full of hope and courage. Collins is an extremely beautiful girl, and I loved how in the film she went and sat with Michael :)
