I don't find it shocking that the cases of the missing girls went unnoticed by the police because in in poor countries they don't care. It is disgusting that police and the government prefer to have money rather than save lives of innocent people.

Freud has nothing to do with it ... and you misunderstood or distorted on purpose the points of view expressed by most psychologists in these matters ... a psychopath is basically INDIFERENT to conceptions of right and wrong ... but does understand the difference in between them and is very effective in exploiting them in his own benefit ...

Yeah... and the point the psychologists here were making was that they interpreted his behavior (via Freud perhaps?) as his being *unaware* of right and wrong. In other words, not accountable: Unaccountability via psychoanalysis. Yet you and most other common sense folks think otherwise.

In general there are no disagreements in between our points of view ... excepting for the role of Freudian analysis ... First of all, I don't think Freud ever dealt with psychopaths although he did brand his subjects as such ... but they were no more than slight social disorders and obsessive behavior ... Secondly, there's a giant difference in between INDIFFERENCE and UNAWARENESS .... Thirdly, I did not claim UNACCOUNTABILITY in any moment ... you figured that out on your own ...

I guess you didn't watch th epart where the detective said they were acting cool with him to get more information about the murder sites. I was all a plan to make him feel comfortable. The police said it was hard thing to do, cuz every day he wanted to beat this guy to death.. God job by Columbian police..

That's part of the pathology of a sociopath; they make blanket accusations and lay blame on everyone and everything but themselves. His mother beat him, he was raped, society didn't care about him... He blames them for creating him and has twisted his perception of his crimes to allow himself to believe he was really helping his victims by killing them. He's absolved himself from responsibility in his own mind and can't understand why what he did was wrong because he can't empathize with others.

@FrigglesTheSapien Not exactly. In a variety of ways and degrees, many killers (Manson (technically not a killer), Wournos) have done the same. Nevertheless all that is academic since I don't necessarily buy what most of those killers say.
