The trouble you might be having is because this is strummed in 3/4 time. 3 beats to the measure, so the feel of it is like ONE, two, three ONE, two three.... like TA ti ti TA ti ti TA ti ti....with the heavy strum on the ONE beat.....it's a must to get the accent right...try that...heavy down strum on the ONE part to start and just fill in with either nothing but the hold over ringing of the strings or little tiny strums until the next ONE.....

Wow the intensity you put in a song,is fantastic Kappa. The way you sing and get so into it,I love to watch you perform too besides listen. In Europe the country/folk style isn't that popular.
You've got a great voice. but I would like to hear it with a song from Anouk. A dutch Rock singer. The song "Nobodies wife" was a great hit.
