All of the Sinnoh dragons: Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina Origin Forme are at level 47 upon meeting them in their games: Pokemon Pearl, Pokemon Diamond, and Pokemon Platinum, respectively. In Pearl and Diamond you find a level 70 Giratina however in Platinum you find Palkia and Dialga at level 70 as this is somewhat reversed. None of the mascot legendary Pokemon are found at level 40 you retard.

i did the same resetting thing on my ruby GBA for a shiny mudkip. you know how at the beging of the game, a poocheanna is attacking birch? guess what i ran intio at the 20th reset? A DAMN SHINY POOCHEANNA!!!! YOU CANT EVEN CATCH IT!!! YOU HAVE TO FAINT IT!!!

Oh shit. How can you have so much patience? I find it hard enough to catch a legendary. I always soft reset when I failed to catch it before it faints because of struggle or confusion (rayquaza with outrage). Giratina from platinum was the hardest I think. That's strange because I caught Groudon from Soul Silver with 3 dusk balls and all legendarys have the same catch rate (3).

My favorite poke-catcher is Gallade, with Mean Look, Hypnosis, Double Team, and False Swipe.... You have to level up your Kirlia to level 50 and not let it evolve in order for it to learn hypnosis, but once it does you use a Dawn Stone on him, and take him to a move re-learner or use a TM to get False Swipe

What I do is play 12 hours ( roughly 3000 or so SRs).

Back in GBC's Silver Version, I averaged a shiny EVERYDAY using that method, but in these new games.... it seems to be harder....

Actually, it depends. You could get lucky and take only 20 times! You could take up to 20k (thousand). Either way, its only for looks. Don't try to get it if your not patient though!

Guess what happened today? I FINALLY got my SHINY QUIET-nature Dialga!!!! I've only been resetting for about 2 months, and around 1500-2000 resets, and it shows up today at 8:06 AM! It really suprised me! I was SRing for like 7 hrs., and when I looked at the screen....BAM! There it was! Thanks to Pokemon Colosseum keeping me up, I was able to make this happen! and i went to the iv calc on serebii and checked his ivs and they are 16-10-3-21-3-6 so its max is going to be 428 in sp attack and all the other stats are gonna be pretty low :/ but nice 1 dude its a shiny dialga modest :)

@clydecazenas Those descriptions (I like to call characteristics) list your Pokemon's highest IVs in the respective stat. Your Dialga will get max sp.atk thanks to it being modest and having the mischievous characteristic, which basically saying that you have 31 IVs in sp.atk. So....congratulations.
