  • just buy an ibanez edge original or a gotoh.

  • @cortarelva I doubt that those options would be compatible as a Floyd Rose replacement, but I may be wrong

  • @thesunsson It might need a small routing any good luthier/tech can do it and its worth it i have a floyd original that is starting to get the same problem and its only two years old.

  • I guess thats what you get for spending 2 grand........

  • @ventor11225 it's not like the guitar is faulty just the floyd

  • @ventor11225 yep, one of the fastest necks money can buy ;)

  • common problem with all floyds, and this happens over time to cheap ones as well...... really is a problem that needs to be adresses, because the sound of the metal bashing against the metal is not a pretty sound, especially when ur using actives

  • my dime sig ML has the same issue, except WAY worse. ive had it for quite a few years tho, so that might be all it is.

  • does this happen with the original only or both the original and liscensed

  • @ArmyRangerish my JS32 Rhoadshas a licensed Floyd, and it's the same, so maye it's jackson trems?

  • Did you try buying another vibrato?it's about 10 euros .maybe it's the vibrato's fault....

  • but you have a pencil inside the hole behind the screws!

  • Make shire you are rapping the thread above the t bar on the bar. Not below it. So that way when you bring the threaded part back down the thread that you added is inside the threaded circle. Then tighten it back on and all is good. Just wanted to make sure you put the thread in the right spot.

  • Then I played the guitar. till I noticed it getting a little play back to the bar. I just then repeated the same trick with the thread adding to the thread all ready on the bar. And then. Put the bar back on. Not only does it take the play out of the bar. It makes it more accurate when playing the bends and dives on it. Give it a try. It doesn't hurt the guitar and it works perfect. Keep on Jamming. God Bless you all and your Families.

  • Hear is a trick that I found to not only take the back lash out of the bar but also be able to set the bar to stay ware you want it if you dont like it flopping around. On my Floyd Rose that I have on my Skull and Bones guitar. I took some black thred and I made a slipknot on the end. Put it over the top of the little t bar you see that goes threw the bar. Then I wound the thred on the bar till it was even with the t bar, Then I snaped off the thred and I slid the bar back on the guitar. -

  • Just drill it out and buy the old original floyd bar or go shopping for teflon plastic as in home depot.I love the original way just needed to replace the washers on them as well but they hold up much better.Ebay sells them like the old style as well.

  • Same problem here on my Jackson Dinky Licensed Floyd. Annoying as shit

  • cuz u have a fucking pen where the siddles r ...

  • @card1100 dude that has nothing to do with the tremolo arm itself. he put the pen there so that the trem wouldn't move. if he didn't put the pen there, you couldn't see the backlash of the bar cause the trem would move ever so slightly with the bar. if the trem is blocked, he can emphasize his point easier. a pen to block the trem at the saddles has absolutely nothing to do with the arm moving because they're completely different parts.

  • I got same problem with my jackson demmelition lisenced floyd rose. I just buy a schaller one? or can i do something without paying anything?

  • tighten the back of the floyds bar underneath the tremelo

  • the problems under the floyd,in the actual trem bar joint connection

  • @guitarlord247 Sometimes its the teflon washer but this looks like it might be the bottom hard to see on the vid. Also i like the original arm it's not bent as much,You know youre good to go when it vibrates after smacking it.That diddnt sound good lol but its true lol i diddnt know of any other way to describe it.

  • @korzon lol yeah,i know what you mean.i'm pretty sure its called "fluttering" when you do that.its a pretty cool effect to use when you're playing too.

  • @guitarlord247 also if your 2 mount screws are not set straight and perfect width apart you will have binding issues.I seen the second part of this and it looks like he should of tightened the allen screw on the bottom before he bought the new bar.I still love the old style bolt and locknut setup the best a real floyd is only 150$ bucks it worth getting but they even got rid of the old way and have these screw ons.Only my berretta has the original arm im about to get a few off ebay.

  • any body care to help me out? one of my bridge clamps is stripped and i cant loosen it anymore with my allen wrench. what can i do to remedy this headache

  • @laketahoethebest plyers to loosen it up then try and find yourself another one, same thing happened to me

  • @laketahoethebest Use a vise grip to get it out and get replacement hardware on ebay be carefull though there are different saddle sizes and screws.A real floyd is metric and much more precise than the after market or licensed ones it's worth the 150$.Only had these cheap kinds strip never the real floyds.

  • either do the tape thingi or buy a new tremolo arm.

  • deal with it.

  • try wrapping some tape around. preferably teflon or painters/masking tape

  • Comment removed

  • if it's an original style bridge with the bushing screw, you should be able to buy a schaller arm with bushing and replace the whole part and then you'll have a higher quality bar as well.

  • Old news with an elementary fix. Like dmometalguitar says...teflon tape around the end of the bar once or twice to eliminate the play in the collar. I've even used a small strip of tissue paper and crammed it in there. Worked like a charm, No play, feels solid...(no rattling flutters) They should have designed the collar with an inner plastic/teflon bushing for a snug fit instead of metal on metal rattling away...

  • get a new bar

  • So u get a King V with some minor problems doesnt mean all the other ones have them too'

u post several videos just to point out the negative things

  • i hate the screw on ones, the best to use are the push in ones

  • Bar.

    Not stick!??!!??!?

  • so the bar moves slightly!

    before you dive.

    thats anoying :(

  • Got your e-mail. Unfortunately the problem you have is common. The original Floyd on my Carvin has the same issue. Some original Floyds have the bar sitting pretty tight inside; others have a little bit of "backlash" like yours. A solution is to add a bit of teflon tape to the bar before inserting it.

  • Thanks a lot - I'll try that ....

  • @thesunsson i had this problem on my dean razorback you have to make sure the bar is tight at all times the seal on the bar is most likely broken
