What has jesus done in your life though? If he ever existed at all hes been dead for 2000 years. This is one of the things wrong with religion, it doesnt give human kind enough credit, just like you dont give yourself enough. Any hard times you've gotten through or trouble overcome were not becasue of some guy who lived in the middle east 2000 yrs ago, but becasue of you. Love to stay and argue religion with hundreds of christians but this song is making my ears bleed, enjoy :)

it is true that Jesus lived 2000 years ago, but HE LIVES TODAY. He lives in my very heart. He is that quiet voice that impresses upon my heart reminding me of His love and what is right. Jesus is alive, I understand that this is hard to grasp. I even wonder how i can ask "give me Jesus" in a sense we (ask Christians) are asking for Jesus the person, but the line "you can have all this world" implies that we want to do away with that and replace it with what Jesus has for us, a hope, and His love
but Jesus is really alive now in heaven. He's waiting for that great day of his second advent when he can take us back to himself from the control of Satan
I understand your point Wynston but Christ is not about "getting through things". There is ALOT of bad ,cotton candy, American theology out there which really makes these boards really vague. Christ is about a sinful people being reconciled to a Holy and perfect God. To non-believers this sounds foolish because they do not believe in God or sin. It is definitely not about getting through life.
sadly though, i find very few christians who make me want to follow christ. most turn me away with their intolerance and judgements. sorry, but its true. of course not all are that way.
Don't follow Christians follow Christ and don't look to these boards for theology. I agree with your statement 100 percent and I praise Christ for giving himself willingly for a worm such as I. I want to follow Christ because of what he did not because I can trust other sinful Christians.

This video is from Atlantafest 2007. I believe the people walking behind him towards the end of the video are the Atlantafest team who organized the conference/concerts. This song concluded with a candlelight ceremony.
I see Jesus in Jeremy Camp; He's full of the holy spirit. It's inspiring to be like him one day and to have that same holy spirit that he allowed to fill him.
