  • @LeighMurwi Does this iwifihack truly work please tell me I don't want to kill my device again.

  • iphone 3g goes slower

  • lol, my 3gs went slow when i installed ioverclock :P

  • iPod 2nd gen. No noticeable difference.

Custom wallpaper, infinidock, custom strings, etc. If I deleted those, then it might have.

  • ioverclock, disable multitasking and wallpaper!

NOW WE'RE TALKIN BOUT SPEED !!

  • placebo effect

  • can you revert it like nothing happened? plz someone reply :)

  • al least for me didnt work maybe its the iOS version or just crappy app dont kno anyway you could give it a shot and try it out with checkup on the appstore or installous have an ipod touch 4g with iOS 4.3.5

  • well it does works for me make my apps load faster but still experience some lag

  • drains battery faster and doesn't speed up still same speed

  • it does not make difference for me. i've installed it and tried with and without on psx4all emulator and the FinalFantasyTactics runs slow no matter if I turn iOverclock or not.

i'm on iOS 4.3.3 iPhone 3GS. maybe it doesn't work on his one.

  • o2-UK ftw

  • Noob read the fine print it's not overclocked

  • @SonicZombie117 it's not "fine" print, try "SMALL" print.

  • didn't do anything for me at al man.

  • What is your screensaver? loved it and loved your video!!

  • @godteguten google "app wall screensaver" ;) thanks for subscribing to my channel!

  • shit,,, it made mine slower,, i do not recomend this

  • Whats your screensaver ?

  • WENT FASTER BUT FEELS WERID

  • whats your screensaver?

  • After much research I've come to the conclusion that this doesn't work. Those who are very familiar with thye hardware and development of mobile devices all seem to be in agreement that once iOS got to be around 3.x Apple removed the possibility to manipulate the CPU speed via fstab or the plist, and they coded it straight into the kernal itself, so overclocking is impossible.

  • i want ur screensaver, pls :D

  • For some reason when I launch system, it says my cpu is still at 412mhz. Seems to be ioverclock doesnt work on my 3g.

  • I want a message too! For the screensaver ;)

  • screensaver link please :D

  • No proof man, gotta have proof.

  • Fuck You!!!!

  • Can u please tell me what screensaver do you have ? PM please :)

  • I have an iPod Touch 3G 8GB (so it's a newer 2G, MC model) running iOS 4.1, jailbroken with Greenpoison. iOverclock does not seem to improve the speed at all. Actually, it's quite slower due to Winterboard. Anyways, it's much faster than iOS 3.1.3, which totally sucked!

  • camera for sale?

  • danavril,

On my iPhone 3G, I installed iOverclock and with the Winterboard theme set to iOverclock. I benchmarked opening a game called "physics". I ran the test 4 times, with and without iOverclock. The results, it takes LONGER to load the game with iOverclock. With iOverclock it averages 25 seconds. Without iOverclock it takes 23 seconds. Do you have an explanation? I ran the tests before and after resetting the device and the results were the same. Recommend any other benchmarks?

  • nothing gets overclocked the iphone isn't faster

  • @Domi1994assassin true i have tested 2 ipod touces (2g 8gb) and both running 4.2.1 wth no music on either. one has ioverclock and the other doesnt. 3d benchmark scores the same on both. even tried openssh for manual OC and nothing. one thing i did notice is menus load SLOWER on the "overclocked" device. original loads faster and 3d is the same in both. i personally thnk its a waste of time to be doing this cuz i have spent hours on research and manual open shh programing. not working!!!!!!!!

  • @zootrayer I also was searching for overclocking for days but all i tried didn't work.

  • @NuclearMuffin1 I know that u assdick. Dont know what you are trying to prove here.

  • what screensaver? could you send me a pm?

  • iOverclock only changes settings in the Power management plist. These settings have been proven to do nothing.

  • I didn't notice any speed difference on my iPod 2g. :(

  • i dont see much of a difference since my iphone 2g is now at 622Mhz maybe a few seconds faster but not faster than my ipod touch 3G

  • this hack is bullshit. i installed it on my 3GS and my CPU is still 600mhz. This didnt do anything!!! i am on ios 4.2.1

  • Thanks Man! I've seen a 20 second difference when opening Angry Birds. I've thumbs up and Subbed. Hope to see more tweaks from you!

  • hey man where did you get your macbook screensaver?! is it for snow leopard?

  • What screensaver do you have on your macbook pro?

  • @nagaek12 sent you a message! :")

  • @danavril thanks man

  • QUICK TO TEH CHOPPER!!!!!

  • wazza ur screensaver? love it

  • winterboard is also a ram hog.

  • @OceanRiverify hey look up memtool and use it, its chinese for a little but it will say clean, that clears up useless memory

  • I tried this on a iPhone 2G and the difference is null. The apps load the same fast, and everything is like it is without the iOverclock app. Waste of my time. - hellome7

  • Comment removed

  • You sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

  • @chand36 were you plugged in at the time, it seems to work better when you're not plugged in.

  • it does not even work. i timed the load speed on a few apps. :(

  • sweet i got the same macbook pro whats ur background called?

  • from what source did you download iOcverclock?

  • @ManiSaucLapsa i didnt need any source. its in the general sources that comes with cydia. if you cannot find it please PM me. :)

  • @ManiSaucLapsa It is the modmyi source :)

  • I'd like to thank you for the GREAT review!

Your iPad video actually gave me the idea for iOverclock!

  • @HrutkayMods no problem! Glad to be able to review these tweaks! they are very interesting to alot of people who jailbreak their iDevices! :)

    good luck!

    check my channel out!

  • Nice MBP Dan!

  • i want ur macbook

  • I ran a bechmarking test on my iPT 3G (32GB) with it overclocked and at default clock, and my results show no performance increase.

  • @jaw2floor well if you try opening apps they load noticeably quicker. how do you explain that? im all for benchmark tests but this isn't a windows machine

  • @danavril technically this won't work since this is basically a placebo and the clock speed is set during iboot commands this only removing the string that lets the processor slow down while in sleep mode.

  • @UltimateCydiaSource It does. I have run my own benchmarks such as benchmark apps on the AppStore aswell as GPsphone (GBA Emulator) and have noticed an increase in both performance and FPS

  • @PepsiLoverx32 it might for very limited task but overall i'm saying it is set in iBoot

  • @danavril Culd you possibly do a comparison video?

  • @jaw2floor i also ran benchmarks and there was no differents at all in the results. this hack is bullshit

  • what is the repo

  • @iphone4life4 modmyi repo. You will already have it on you Cydia sources. its actually been updated to fix a small bug with folder issues.... :)

  • Oh no sorry, is not deleted XD However please reply me :( i want only know the condition of the speakers, that are not arrived XD

  • Why you deleted my comment? What i've wrong? O_O

  • @lukefinch101 give it 4 years and they will be just as fast i imagine!

  • great vid.

If you also like to take very decent pictures take a look at the new Canon EOS 60D. Don't how much you want to spend, but for the price I think it's one of the best cameras out there for both Video and Photography.

  • @gianandrin thanks! i really want a Canon EOS series. might buy one next payday! :)

  • Hey can I get your old cam plz

  • @chato1895 my old camera still under warranty so it will be exchanged sorry :)

  • This had the opposite effect on my IPhone 4. Apps launched twice as slow as usual

  • @AJRBable i guess it depends on the apps you have and how they run on the device

  • good thing is you can "untick" it in winterboard anytime! :)
