  • fake of guilty gear...

  • I'm not a fan of the art in this game.

  • I have had this game for ages, loved it for long... and finally it's end came with a serious lazer burn from my sh*tty Xbox360. I ordered a new copy from my local game's store, went to get it, they asked for ID or an adult, for the game is a 15+ and they didn't believe I am 16.. so I traveled the 3 miles back home to get my father to come with me and came back and I got it... Unfortunately, it was an NTSC version and not PAL, so I couldn't play it... CURSES!!!!

  • hola estan geniales tus combos me podrias pasar una lista de combos ? he buscado pero no encuentro y los combos que hago son de pocos golpes

    saludos !!

  • I want to play this game but I dont have it...

    No money -.-

  • its soo lol see how tager with only one grab make more damage than muchs combos of other characters xD

  • What happened to v-13 and hakumen?

  • you you missed noels actual BNB combo on airborn opponents

    5A->6B>5A>6B>5A>236D

  • good combos, but where can newcomers to the game get the input commands to learn these??

  • i dont know much about this game but arakune looks kool! =D

  • I looove blazblue. I strongly reccomend anyone to buy it. It's like guilty gear but alot more complex and it's somewhat like streetfighter but much less buttonmashing and alot more technique. The controls are super smooth and after a while, playing becomes and automatic reflex.

  • They may be easy but, as soon as you master all of the characters BnB combos, and know when to use them in the right circumstances, you're on your way to being really tough to beat.

  • Awesomeness stuff~ Props for that my friend!

I'm kinda wondering tho (<< utterly new to this outside-the-game thing) but are BnB combos equivalent to pressure strings?

  • @MarxTaich0u well some combos can be used as pressure strings but pressure strings is more like a serie of attack of didnt sides (low, mid, high) so the opponent makes a mistake and missblocks so u can combo outa of his mistake

  • These combos look hard though...

..Are they easy to pull off, even if you are a fighting game noob like me who has never really played a fighting game before and will start with Blazblue?

  • @Karterii this combo are easy but its still going to take a few days to get thin down and when u get thim dow u have to lern harder combos but it will not take as long to lern thos o ya this is my frist fighting game to and i raily good and my spilling suck lol

  • Well, input-wise and based on Ragna's standard combo, they're usually within the bounds of the first input. For example: Ragna's Inferno Divider string has an input of 623C/D (we're going with the C-chain). The next move will be a 236C followed by another 236C. If you'd visualize that of a circle, it'll be quarter-down-forward and two quarter-forwards. Like I said, within the bounds of the first. The hard thing is getting down the timing, like dash cancels and such, but you'll get used to it. x3

  • Sounds a little bit like combos in Devil may cry

  • @MarxTaich0u ''x3''

    Stop that.

  • plz more difficult combos :>

  • Bread and butter combos are easy as shit

  • why would u say that

  • i wonder why they call it bread and butter combo

  • cause it's not tekken :D

  • Bread and butter, meaning extremely simple. Bread and butter is an extremely simple meal, and BnB combos imply the most bare essentials.

  • i dont see many carl players online. Why?

  • @garethahaha

Because carl is hard to master even for experienced players :) anyway his my main :P

  • wheres fuckin hakumen!?

  • Tenstars, I don't know what we would do without your Blazblue expertise. I really tend to wonder why people make such retarded comments.

  • Someone mind telling exactly what a "BnB Combo" is?

  • @RequemX its called bread and butter combo, which refers to characters' most commonly used combos

  • bread and butter

  • It's like... Guilty Gear...

  • of course, the creator of this game is also from Guilty Gear

  • How was that Ragnas BnB? ^_-.

Nice video altogether though, that one just had me wondering.

  • Ragna and Jin are my Main Characters

  • Ragna's BnBs are a little extraneous- you can start most of that stuff out of a 6A to make it a simple BnB. xD

    It was cool though.

And Jin's BnBs had me scratching my head a bit. The 2D setup would be easier if it started from a 6C first. Also, the grab into ice arrow was a huge waste of meter.

  • look at the add date, these are from when the game first came out of course the combos are outdated.

  • There's no such thing as an outdated combo. This video was made by the creators of BlazBlue, the Aksys players themselves, who at the same time had made a DVD showing you their true BnB combos for each character.

  • uhm, yes there is such thing as an outdated combo. If an old bnb is replaced by a new, easier, higher damage, more efficient combo, then the old one is called obsolete.

  • so u got a vid with newer combos? ;3 i just bought the game...

  • Arakune reminds me of that creepy looking thing from spirited away

  • Holy shit...

I should start actually trying to be good at BlazBlue.

  • Ragna is cheap... his shadows hit you hahaha. When he actually hits you with his fist or feet towards the end of the air combo... pffft all shadow hahaha

  • gun jack, strider, trigun, felecia, person at 4:00 looks like dude off of superjail

  • 2:16 Berserker Barrage!

  • wtf...those aren't Tao's BnB's....

  • The BnB's the Jap's use, so the Combos that a normal person would train weeks for and they in just 2 hours.

  • They were before arcade release. :3

  • arakunes bnbs suck

  • I was thinking the same thing. They had a 6C loop setup and just ignored it, didn't even recurse.

  • Oh lawd Gintoki, you're so cool! :D

  • damm....

why all the fighting games don't team thenselves to make an kickass game (not mentionign mugen, the glitchy game)

like, i still wishing some good battles...

good game though, itdk why but it reminds me ggxx and 1 char reminds jill....damm...

  • it's the spiritual successor to guilty gear, that's why =)

  • what was that intro music

  • I am going to retract my earlier comment on this being a reskinned GG because it isnt. This game is very different than GG, but it is good. I play v -13- figured out some airthrows and whatnot. Not sure if theyre BnB but theyre homebrew for sure. I gotta get my own copy of the game though as I have been playing at a buddies house because money doesnt grow on trees....

  • Not bad... but these combos have no idea about proration.

  • I so want this game I can't wait until I get.

This is just a though but I think for the next game they make they should clash BlazBlue with Guilty Gear if they can well that's what I think anyway.

BlazBlue & Guilty Gear Rule !!!

  • They should so something like MVSC2 and make it BlazBlue VS GGXX

Who would win is the real question ?

    Fights would be

    Ky vs Jin

    Pokemkin vs Tager

    Litchi vs Jam

    Sol vs Ragna

    Eddie vs Arakune

  • u soudn like sht too

  • Funny that you can hear my voice.

  • I don't have this game so please forgive me if I sound like an idiot......If these are the combos that you should'nt use offten, then which ones?

  • BnB stands for "Bread and butter"

These are your standard combos that are most often used.

  • Half this $#!+ is techable???

  • I don't have the game, so forgive my ignorance, but what's makes a combo a BNB combo? Is it like Guilty Gear's Roman Cancel, or SVC Chaos's max mode, or what?

  • BNB = Bread and Butter. A bnb can consist of anything in any game. It's usually the most stable and trustworthy combo and is what will usually be the first combo you learn and fall on when something is quickly needed.

I like My bread and butter combos with a slice of cheese somewhere in the middle though.

  • so zenzybar you use use noel or nu?

  • Right now i'd say i use Noel but i haven't had the chance to play very much. Nu seems a little "scammy" but i've never played one so meh.

I had like 20 games learning as i went from scratch at a fighting game event. So i'm not very skilled at BB.

Unfortunately for me the game has not been released in EU so i'd have to import, and i don't have £40 to spare.

    I play Tekken mainly.

  • poor little carl ;(

  • i really want this game i love sf4 now its time to master another great fighter.

  • I NEED THIS GAME

    I WANT THIS GAME

    I have SF4, its perfect.

But Blazblue has a new experience in 2D

  • are combos hard to do in blazblue

  • They can be, yes.

  • Yep! If all else fails? You can always pick Nu or Hakumen and call it a day.

  • if you practice a little it gets easy bu its still hard a little bit and stylish yp

  • re: travizion

Depends. Noel is easy mode when it comes to combos.

But yeah, ground based combos are usually a lot simpler than air based combos.

I still haven't quite mastered Taokaka's air combos, and I got nearly 1300 online matches under my belt ;D (Probably because I take the cheap way out, and use air grabs instead)

  • yeah if your new to fighting games.

  • O_O no hakumen and v-13 combos? oh well nice combos anyway.

  • this was released, before hakume and v-13 were unlocked in arcade version.

  • ohh. nvm my previous comment then.

  • I just have BB, and i would like to know the correct order input for the stick ( same as arcade in japan ofc) for A,B,C,D , as i'am a 3.3 player , can someone can say it by LP=A for exemple, THX

  • on the arcade version you can choose between

    ABC

    D

    or

    BCD

    A

most ppl use the first one.

  • thx you

  • I use the second one :p

  • sounds like you should learn to hold back imo

  • I've played many other fighting games and I'm pretty sure I know the standard going backwards block. It seems like it doesn't register many of the times <_<, maybe lag from online play? I'm playing about 2 rooms away from my router : )

  • 1:34 TAGAR BUSTER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Does Noel say "flash kick" at 1:26 or so? If so, awesome.

  • poor jin

  • re: ungert45

    Jin's deserve no mercy ;D

    Damn freezes and grabs.

  • Jins the least cheap character in the game i dare you to argue with me.

  • tech the grab

  • is it better than street fighter? theyre both arcade so i expect them to be the same

  • its easier than street fighter, but more fast paced and more exciting to watch. the game is good not only cuz the system is awesome, the character, music, story , design, everything else are top-notch too. i would pay 100 dollars for this game, but my college buddy already bought it xD

  • depends which street fighter you mean. I play SF4 and Third Strike and I find this game much more complex.

  • This is definetly more like Guilty Gear

  • lol its cuz its made by guilty gear ppl. Alota the reviews for this game are saying that this game might acutally overshadow guilty gear now

  • waaaaaaaaaaay better than street fighter

  • Sick combos.

  • It's made by the same people (Arc System Works).

  • It's online and it's awesome.

  • lmao shows how much u know it made by same ppl learn about the games u talk shyt about

  • lmao guess sarcasim is hard to get thru

  • or in your case, spell right.

  • If you have the limited edition, the nice part is that they offer basic, 8 or 9 hit combos like these. After that, they show you how to string them together into 20+ hit combos. Get these down and you'll be on your way to executing more complicated permutations.

    Why bother?

    1. Does more damage.

    2. Demoralizes the enemy.

    3. Prevents them from getting into a good rythym by interrupting their play.

And pretty much all characters are viable to play; none are overwhelmingly weak (yet).

  • Play whomever seems most fun to you. Jin and Ragna seem to be more beginner friendly than some, if you're having trouble choosing.

Oh, and for the 1000th time, it's made by the same people who did Guilty Gear. They're intended to closely resemble the characters from those games.

  • whats that charging like thin tager does?

  • aaaaaaaawesome

  • I thought the backgrounds the characters were in were from DMC, but not the characters themselves

  • Cant wait to get this game!!!

  • what is a song in a begining?

  • what are the button configurations for Tao's first BnB combo. Thanks!

  • games amazing,..if Taokaka's hit caused more damage she would almost be unbeatable.

  • wow the animations are really great, but i wish this game had wifi minigames.

  • That Vermillion gal has some really big guns.

  • 0:44 - Ky Kisuke ripoff

  • LOL, do you know this game is from the same who made Guilty Gear? Many of these chars might look like rip offs, they are not.

  • Blow me backwards, so that's why:D lucky me I got my controller in my hand and cash in my pocket because I watched some videos and truly liked it.

  • he looks like Ky because he was meant to look like him lol XD

  • Cool vid. Mostly because the combos are do-able. I like to stay within 8 or 9 hits if it dosen't involve a super-move; I'm just not into extra, extra long juggles that extend to like 20 hits when an 8 or 9-hit can pull off just as much damage, if not more.

  • One thing i dislike about Ragna is that his combos are very flashy and cool looking and such, its just they do so little damage for the effort put into the combo. While others can take off half the life bar with shorter combos that are easier to do, just my opinion though.

  • Thats because he self heals with his moves.

  • Yeah, i did sorta forget about that little bonus. Idk why i got all the thumbs downs...

  • idk. i didnt thumb you down

  • Ragna combos can tear face open meng. He can do butt tons of damage.

  • Just curious, but how is Taokaka on the tier list? Im thinking about using them.

  • Both games are totally different and and have a totally different fighting style system ppl shouldnt really compare the two. Hard Trial combos are hard but thnk about it even the pros dont use them is a real fight, think capcom did it so ppl can practice the focus thingy. Blazblue has awesome graphics and combos are easier to pull off.

  • button mashing against an actually good player will get you raped

  • blazblue is fun gameplay but not enough challenging combo, i prefer a bit sf4 for that

  • lol if you really think sf4 combos are harder

  • I'm a huge BlazBlue fan and was only lukewarm regarding SF IV. Everyone knows SF4's combos are harder because they are very small and difficult to pull off with many 1 frame links required that are very difficult to pull of successfully. BlazBlue has large gorgeous combos that you can actually pull off reliably if you know how to play. It's still hard but much BETTER than SF IV since they are doable. The combo timing in SF IV was retarded.

  • the only combo i've ever hard problems doing in sf4 was run stop fierce and even that i could get 3 fierces consistently sorry i gotta disagree. 1 frame links in sf4 arent' that hard

  • you are saying to me that you did all hard sf4 trials with no problem at all? i don't really believe it

  • dog i play viper, now go do this with rachel counter hit 2c, 2d, 5b, jump bc, dj 2dc, j.c land dash 6a, super x 2, frog 3c, pumpkin 3c.

  • ^^^this was me at work my boss' account was signed in

  • Taokaka's moves are soo cool but they're so hard to do with so little damage.

  • why is this game not even recognised in the uk amazon or anywhere

  • Get it from the US amazon. PS3 is region-free.

  • does that get past the PAL/NTSC switch when u go from the US to the UK?

  • Yes, completely =]. Only on PS3 games, though. The games themselves are region-free.

For PS1 and PS2 games, as well as Blu-ray and DVD discs, you have to get UK ones =[.

  • is this game online?

  • yes, ranked and unranked

  • No hentai for you.

  • is it just me ?

or does arakune really remind me of noface from spirited away ?

    xP somewhat ..?

  • There's at least two of us =P

  • No, it's me too lol. That's one of the first things I thought when I saw him. =P

  • He sure does! ;O

  • wow, he does. he looks just like him

I think the design may be from some japanese monster/spirit/demon or something, because i've seen it in plenty of anime/manga/games

  • GGXX is better, this game is too slow for me.

  • cool thanks for letting everyone on youtube know what your preference is with out us asking for it.

  • no problem im might make a youtube video to show the process of starting a combo later this year but im working but ill try to make it

  • It's not really THAT much slower... But it is sometimes noticeably slower than Guilty Gear. Most fighting games are slower than Guilty Gear...

  • These are BASIC combos?

    Jeez...maybe I should consider a stick.

  • No you wouldn't. You'd probably pirate it.

  • oh wow, pwned

  • And you know me? Get a grip.

  • i just got my limited edition today and i wanna do these basic combos...hit me up if u have ps3; blip74

  • i will help you i use hakumen my name is ps3 account kratoswet ill teach how to combo the basic movement send me a friend request

  • how is hakumen for you? i've used him and his range is sooooo terrible in my opinion

  • What about all of the amazing things about him? For example, all of the crazy priority he has on some moves, the generally strong defensive play, all of his specials cancelling and comboing into one another.

I'm not sure how you can knock his range. Certain attacks have some pretty decent reach and some even absorb "projectiles"(this game counts some crazy things as projectiles.)

  • not relly but if you learn to move fast with him he hard to beat. i like him because he feels fluent when i do the input and i can do combos with him.

  • but isnt it hard to do so? i mean he moves incredibly slow and he dash is more or a leap.... You'd have to draw in ppl wit him but wat if u get paired up wit a jin? all he would have to do is throw ice swords. But i do have to admit Hakumen's Strong attack does do a good amount ;]

  • lol, ull almost nvr see someone offerin to help someone else on any othr game genre.

  • hate how tagger's one move with the green slash is pretty much unstoppable

  • It's not near Unstoppable anything labeled as a projectile it eats but melee hit will counter it. Also it is punishable when used and it doesn't make contact. Without it Tagger would be horrible, He is already low Teir.

  • That would be koo if they had the original "Guilty Gear" characters to download for later. I haven't yet played this game but I have all the original Guilty Gear games which looks pretty much the same.
