Yes, there are many theories of our universe and multiverses. I enjoy watching NOVA, Stephen Hawking's show, and other science shows with my kids that present some of these theories.
It's all a big mystery. We have definitions for things, but not true understanding -- if you look at a level deep enough, such as the "building blocks" of the "material" world.

My religion is Ancient Universalist Christian/Hindu/Buddhist/Sufi. But I'm beginning to get interested in adding Pastafarianism (they worship the Flying Spaghetti Monster) because that's the only religion I never see getting attacked. (I get criticized from all sides for my religions.)
