@Milkman26789Z It was probably just this scene, but that was still a lot of work. Someone had to find out abut the existence of the song, first off, then someone had to come up with the idea to use it in the movie, then someone had to come up with the idea that instead of just the Chipettes singing, it would be a "Group Duet" with the Chipmunks. Then they had to re-work the lyrics, who was singing which verse, etc, then the scenario had to be created, and finally the recording and animating.

Wow this was a big surprise, i always thought the "wooly bully" was the only non- original song from the chipmunk adventure. But anyways, the chipmunks and chipettes definetly do a better job with this song then whoever sang it in this movie.

Was just checking. The movie  Malibu Bikini Shop is not available on ebay or itunes and neither is the soundtrack. Drew a blank on both at amazon as well. Talk about a sleeper, they even lost the body.

NOTE: To anyone who likes this song, but doesn't want to buy the movie, here's a simple solution (provided the song is not available on I-tunes):

1. Load video

2. Use a recording program such as Garageband (press record, then press play)

3. Be sure not to be loud during recording

This method is an ultra cheap way of collecting music that will never be available anywhere else. I do not have a way to get the video that comes with it (sorry).

Yeah I know what you mean. It's not perfect that's for sure. If you can't find the song on i-Tunes though, it is a cheap way to go. But you're right, it can sound pretty shitty. Of course, this video doesn't have the best sound in the first place.

@kokopellifan1 I mean, don't do it like that. You'll get too much background noise. Just google youtube to mp3 or do it like I would do it if I wanted a song from youtube, have Firefox, have a video downloader add-on, download as video (as hq as you can get) then put the video through an editing software, delete the video (not the audio) and export as an audio file.

OR if you want the hq version, you can go to 4shared (amongst many other free sites) and download the mp3 free.

I had to download the film "The Malibu Bikini Shop" first, and then edit out the scene where the song plays in the credits. I don't think you can find the song anywhere except maybe from the film's soundtrack, and those are probably hard to find

I don't believe it. This isn't officially The Chipettes's song. Oh well , it doesn't matter, The Chipettes still are the OFFICIAL Girls of Rock & Roll!

Besides, they're version is so much better! If they had sung this song, The Chipmunks wouldn't have a part to sing.

The Malibu Bikini Shop was theatrically released in 1986'. The Chipmunk Adventure was released a year later.

The song was originally used in "TMBS" and later modified for "TCA".
