Quite frankly I think Freshly Ground are quite overated. I saw better Cape Town bands when I visited SA. FG sound like a watered down Kwela band. The video is also very contrived.

You may be in the minority re your opinion seen FG have been awarded best act from africa at the MTV awards. I do agee though that there are many good bands in Africa esp S.Africa

...and that is why I said "I think" not "people think."I don't buy into the mass consesus on most levels so whether something shifts units or is "more popular" doesn't make it better in my book . Westlife have sold more records than The Beatles- I rest my case. Go in peace brother!
