Sorry, I don't have the foggiest idea what kind of spider it is. Just a big common one that lives in gardens and yards and the woods. Not too dangerous. This one was in Reeds Spring, Missouri, busy blocking the back door. After living in Corpus Christi a few years back, just expect that the further south you go, the bigger the bugs get. Roaches tunnel in spray-on ceilings, no big deal there, and stuff like that. So... Have fun in Texas!
