excuse me but i notice you are applying the Per-feKt perfection gel incorrectly. The makeup artists and representatives from Per-feKt say you should not rub it like a foundation but pat it on 1 or 2 layers. I'm not sure if you knew this and because of your skin texture, patting is not as effective. I've been hearing nothing but good things about Per-feKt, so maybe if you use it as directed it wil do even more wonders for you!

You should try a powder foundation. It will make your skin more matte. And sense your acne prone you should use bare minerals because it is makeup that's actually good for your skin.

Reading the description block on the Sephora site Urban Decay partnership with Skindinavia and developed De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray. If you look at the ingredients of both products all the ingredients are the same and are also listed in the same order. Could these products be the same?

The spreay you mentioned will be a hit or miss for oily skin types. The spray is basically water and alcohol. Alcohol could just cause a "rebound" effect.

I have used it for Halloween before, but that's a creamy paint type make up so I didn't know if it would work on powders or liquids. @WaterDreaminOphelia Both laser and chemical peel is good I think...chemical peel will show results faster cuz you actually peel off some dead skin and smooth out the surface. Search videos using keywords like "acne chemical peel"...there are videos of people who have done it.

For those asking for a lower cost alternative, my suggestion would be Vichey Dermablend. It's $29.50, available at many CVS stores, but a little goes a looong way. A tube will last you forever! It stays put, doesn't oxidize, and I don't need extra concealer with this foundation yet it doesn't look mask-like on my mature skin.

I actually like Koren's scars. They're a little "imperfection" that makes him unique.

On the bright side, Koren, people with oily skin age better.

My mom's skin is oily (and dark, which helps), and she has ZERO wrinkles at 52.

I'm not meaning few, I mean none. Zero. Zilch. Her skin isn't as tight as it used to be, but nooooo wrinkles. She looks fantastico.

I have oily skin, but hate the matte or powdered look. I love the dewy look, could I skip powdering to set foundation all together and just use the spray??? If that works I would be thrilled! I've always felt like I can only have lasting makeup that is matte or dewy makeup that doesn't last.

@silvertales I hope Koren doesn't mind me butting in on this response. Cheaper costing products often times means lower quality products. Sometimes you have to save up and splurge on things especially when you know (from reviews or trial) that it is going to work. I may cheap out on my eyeshadows, lip sticks and glosses, but never skin care products or foundations. Please take that into consideration; higher cost often means higher quality ingredients which are better for your skin!
