Movie made me laugh- especially the 60B part. That cracked me up. But nearer to the end.... it got weird... what with the comedic part w/ Susan Sarandon and the flaming bird. However, I wouldn't immediately dismiss it- I liked it. It was charming and of course, my 2 fav peeps! Orlando and Kirsten!

I went throught this thing when my dad died, I was also 28, and my dad was cremated too but unlike orlando I've got emotional during the whole process. Can't believe Drew(Orlando bloom) kept a straight face all the time in this movie!

Almost Famous and Jerry Maguire were excellent movies but I thought this was poor. Never felt sorry for Blooms character, he's a bad actor. The film felt more like a showcase for the good tunes that director Crowe enjoys rather than a cohesive movie.

@x6xJJx9x You would think but seeing the roadtrip is something spectacular. something totally worth purchasing the dvd. btw 7 eleven might sell it for 10 bucks. and if anything don't buy the dvd for The Stepfather. That movies trailer spoiled the whole movie, you just need to wiki if the girl is alive and if the stepfather dies or get arrested. Btw i didn't spoil the stepfathers ending. :-p.

@gammainn Lol It's not cliche. It's a very real drama. And probably the least 'lovey dovey' story out of anything you could put in that category. The bits with him and claire only make up a portion of the film, it's mostly about his life and it's very convincingly done. I hate romance, *twilight for example - throws up* and I loved the film.

Definitely the best movie featuring Orlando Bloom next to Lord of the Rings!

It has an epic Free Bird scene - even if the movie sucked, this one scene would make it worthwhile, but it doesn't!

If you're into movies like Die Hard or Rambo, go fuck yourself, but if you like real dramas (dramas do not normally have a happy ending), then do watch this one and you'll actually perhaps shed a tear of happiness towards the end! :)

Elizabethtown is one of the most beautiful and sweet movies ever made - unique storyline, acting, everything. I'm not Orlando Bloom's fan but he looked respectable here. Kirsten Dunst was great as always. Adorable and supertalented Susan Sarandon was impressive. She should have had more screen time in this movie.

@burtonfan101 it dont exist. why couldnt they give real directions to the city......i say the idea of coming up with a non-existant exit number was stupid. Exit 91 to Elizabethtown, Kentucky is a good way. and to tell the truth, the way shown in the movie is the longest possible way to get to etown from louisville. Etown is what we call it. We almost never call it Elizabethtown.

I have mixed feelings about this movie. It was funny and intelligent at some times, and very cheesy at others.

Drew's mother bothered me (knowing the creepy person she is in real life). And her dirty story during her speech was unnecessary.

Orlando Bloom was the best part. He was INCREDIBLY handsome and dashing in this movie. However, the British actor didn't fit the role he played that took place in a completely American setting.
