  • and i apologise for putting opinion over information

  • u forgot to look at kajol, ajay devgan, bipasha basu, rani mukharji , priyanka chopra , mughda godsay

of course shahrukh khan is an idiot

  • @fall4fellatio We must boycott those folks who tell Indians that being Indian is ugly (yet there is a market fix). Have you noticed that SRK is starting to show the signs of a heavy-skin bleach user? Yes, he's got the tale-tale dark spots on his cheeks, and the mismatched color all around.

  • @diepiriye

    being indian is not ugly

    come on

    look at me...........lolz, jokes apart

i was very much against ur views earlier but in my office i have a team of african people, boys and girls, i talk to them, but the reactions i see from some of my colleagues are disturbing.

i take my words back. just because i do not think that way does not mean others do not.

I am removing the video "racism in india my foot"

  • @fall4fellatio No, being India is not ugly, and we should tell SRK to stop saying so! That's no joke. I am also glad to hear that you have reached out to your African colleagues. Off all the things that you could say, I am most struck by the fact that there is greater space for dialogue between you & I, between you & others, between people across physical differences or virtual distances. Speak with all your colleagues -regardless of difference. it only broadens all your worlds. Let them laugh.

  • @diepiriye

    sorry for late reply

now i understand how u felt that day

i am sorry for being a little aggressive towards u

but it was not because of any hostility but it was simply cuz i was offended by ur views cuz i never thought that way.

i was a student back then, i am working now, so i get to see the "real" world now

  • i never thought of it like that. would u say the cultural stereotype of the sultry "latina" stems from this line of thought? considering south american/carribean latin are supposed to be an amalgamation of italian, spanish, african, indigenous american, irish, etc. (gisele bunchen, shakira, selma hayek are of course oddly enough pretty much all white)

  • @maulpreylion Indeed. The mulatto woman is the throw away woman for black and white men to lust after, but not marry because she's got no daddy no one to take care of her. It's an awful stereotype that sits at the core of 'race' because OBVIOUSLY mixed race people stand in the face of social division. People won't be divided, regardless of the rules, and mixed race people force that issue in the minds of many.

  • It is no mistake that swords were shaped the way they are... as an extension of the 'self'.

  • @lavinder11 OK!

  • Thanks for this. On ANTM the indian girl said she wasn't treated as well as the lighter skin indians. She had low self esteem because of this. I never understood this. Some people thought I didn't have a right to comment on certanin black issues when I was growing up bc of my light skin. My parents always told us we are black, though we are a product of black and white. This has always baffled me. Great topic.

  • God, society is so complex it gives me a headache sometimes.

  • @1airhawk

but we have to live in the society

so we have to be "in-the-society" to change the society

  • @fall4fellatio Well said.

  • Though, some suggest that she was actually mocking the stereotype on stage that she was portraying (black savageness/ jungle-ism) rather than promoting it. But she did participate in minstrel before that. Well, I guess SHE HAD TO EAT, lol, and theater for blacks was extremely limited.

  • Josephine Baker was such an interesting figure. At one end, you had someone who was very much an advocate for racial equality and promoting blacks in the arts, but she was also and avid user of skin bleach, and of course, theirs her show where she dances in bananas ):

  • @1andonlyDEl *there's* (:

  • @1andonlyDEl going along to get along?

  • @EyeWearMySunglasses right, lol

  • @1andonlyDEl

Yes, I think that Josephine Baker was aware of her mockery, but I actually wonder if Beyonce is that aware!?! She seems just tickled about her light skin and long weave, Not even bold enough to wear her own hair like her little sister.

  • @diepiriye then again, she might be aware, but that's where her money is. She might not care about promoting anything but her music. Not everyone is a humanitarian, or role model lol.
