Yes, the field is saturated but remember- IT is a vast industry. People with general skills will be disappointed to see the wages and find it difficult to find jobs. However, if you don't settle for sitting at a general level and work to specialize yourself in specific fields you will find that wages are better, job security is better and doesn't feel quite so saturated. IT techs are a dime a dozen, but good IT techs are rare. Fixing workstations + basic server rollouts are basic these days
@digitalfuk Bloated is right. People's idea of an IT today is anybody with a YouTube channel or FB account. This video is embarrassing now that I received my degree and started working on some real programming.
@themanyone You Heading In The Right Direction, This is Probably The Only Areas of IT Left, With Lots Of Innovative Potential. Nobody Creates Anything Anymore. It's Sad.
Great video!I have currently joined a home-based business called AshMax. It is only 25 dollars to join(and never more). You can earn up to $22K a month. The catch is that you have only 20 days to sign up 5 people. You get your own website and my co-woker in my upline customizes it for everyone I sign up to use as a business tool. Its a great business and it is only 2 months old, with 30,000 members. The only way to go up.I think you would do great. visit: selma.ws email: rubenhuante@gmail.com.
I do that all the time. I sweet talk my computer that I named Frankie cuz hes build out of about 5 different laptops. somtimes he runs a bit slow or freezes or something and I talk nice to him and ask him to behave. on side note I have cused him out after he deleted all my desktop files, he then restarted himself and all the files were back. amazing!
lol yeah my laptop feel and then when i turned it on it would make a sound for a second then the hard drive would make no noise and then i started punching it thinking that the video card was out of place or something i punched it on every side then i tried booting for the 6th time and i got it to work LOL.
Things like this happen to me all the time. I am an IT Technician for a high school of 600 students and 90 teachers. I get calls all the time saying this won't work etc. I go over to them, ask them to show me what the problem was and it works, I think I have some sort of static or the computers just know that a tech is nearby so they work as to not be tampered with. This happens daily for me.
I'm starting college in September to gain qualifications as a IT Tech. Hopefully I can then go on and progress to Network Manager - That's my aim, anyway! :)
I just want to get the 2 years of college out of the way first, and then from there I will decide between University or another path.
The only downside with going to College is that I've experimented with most aspects of what we are going to be studying; it's like I will be going backwards.
Hahah, guilty here too. I had a friend who's computer hadn't worked in years. The motherboard was warped and the thing wouldn't even power on. A little prayer and laying on of the hands.... and it powers up and works like a 10 year old computer should. Needless to say, he never turns it off.
I did the same thing the other day. We had a dell that was just sitting in a corner and I decided to make it my new server. I plugged it in and, no video. So I messed with the video card and the onboard card and reset the cmos several times. I tried every logical tweak and still, no video. So I said, okay Dell, you asked for it. So I lifted it up a foot off the table and dropped it. Turned on the power and viola, the video is working again...
Hm.. i had a question.. One of my friends has messing around with my pc one day froze it..and like a idiot kept on pressing n holding the power button .. now when i turn on my pc the screen wont turn on it says.. no input signal or Monitor Status: Inactive... so what can i do besides take it to get it fixed?
Nope only when i turn the pc on.. I took it to my friends house and tried it with their monitor but it said the same thing..so im guessing it's the computer...
At a computer shop I worked at, we had this trick that always seemed to work on computers that wouldn't boot up. We would take the tower and flip it upside down on the bench and then back on its right side. Plug everything back in again and like magic it would turn on. (This didn't replace real trouble shooting)

This field is soooo saturated. Not to mention everyone you meet thinks they know computers, it's ridiculous.

Aim higher. Start your own company, get some big clients. That's what I'm doing; embarked on a degree program last year. It's for the kids.
