Thanks for your video and your the time you spend to put it on youtube. I have an Eddy and belive me It is for my 9.8 mm rope the best option in belay devices.
Eddy will not "burn" your rope while you put a climber down.
Great video discussion. Have you converted to the EDDY permanently, or do you still like the Gri-Gri more? I'm just wondering which you prefer to-date... Thanks!
what is the make of the eddy and does it work in the same way as a grigri

@MultiClimbers
It's made by Edelrid.
It does work similar to a Grigri. However it doesn't have the half turn of rope over the lip like a GG, hence it won't introduce twist to the rope.
It has a panic mode and the down rope runs out the opposite side from the GG.

I like the Eddy, but I have not converted. My current choice is actually the Cinch.
But I'm very interested in the Petzl Rig. It's big, but it doesn't climb big and has some nice features.
The Grigri, Eddy, Cinch are all excellent devices. It's difficult to pic the best or a favorite.
A good friend of mine has come up with a very simple effective way to provide more descend control with the Cinch. I'll try to get him to post it.
