@balleballe55 I beg to differ. Most railroaders respect railfans because we do not hesitate to call something in if something looks out of place. Railfans have save countless lives because they are your eyes and ears if something goes wrong. Your are waisting your time calling people fags, ect. over Youtube and on a video, which is nicely done by the way. Most railroaders start off aa railfans before getting hired on and some still are railfans, or have children who are railfans.

The point is, many sons and daughters of railroaders, who are also railfans, post shit on here so I would be real careful what you say. Most corporations don't have a problem firing someone over what they do on social sites, escpecially if it demonizes the company.

Last, but not least, in order to work on any railroad in North America (that includes Canada and Mexico) you need to know how to spell. From experience, they have called in crossing malfunctions, they have called the railroad when they suspect there is a problem with the train and they call in suspicious vehicles parked along the right of way. They call in tresspassers, they call in people fucking with the switches and even called in a hobo hitching a ride on the tracks. Why do you thing Amtrak and BNSF use them as resource?

@balleballe55 Most of the "foamers" I've met over the years are pretty descent folks that want no trouble from anyone and all they do is enjoy a hobby like watch trains on their days off from work. Most of them work forty hour weeks, collect a paycheck and find something to do on their days off. Besides, if it wasn't for railfans, the railroads would've went out of business a long time ago because they would not have anyone to cover those jobs. There are some that do work for a railroad, too.

EMD is far from going away, and the SD70ACe is a good unit, jugging by how many have sold and are in service. The fact of the mater remains though GE is the #1 player in the US locomotive market.
