  • it would of saved time if i was just putting another color on

  • it takes so effing long to sand i must of logged 16hours of sanding then you get to this wood and you think your done you go to stain then your like fuck thats laminate or clear cloat under a black guitar then you sand more and theres ticky glue from laminate all over that bitch then you sand some more than you hand sand then stain

  • looks great! nice job bro

  • @Stratocaster571 its just an instrumental of mine called Thinkin ;Bout a Song.

  • hey what do you used for take the color out

  • It looked better before or even halfway though. Try paint next time.

  • nice work. I have decided to do the same to my squier, thanks for sharing.

  • where is that signature (on top of the body) from?

  • @jks2 It is From A Cat named Noah Wortherspoon, please check him out. a good little video is on youtube, Dayton Blues fest

  • awesome man love the job you did on it

  • @bearlooter thanks bro!

  • good job dad!!

  • I actually kinda like it. I'd add a tortoise pickguard. Yes the wood has some imperfections, but it makes the guitar seem a little more "earthy." I don't nkow how ewlse to describe it.

  • for a perfect finish back to the original wood a sander has to be used otherwise it will take forever by hand or other methods.i dont see the problem given its a solid body guitar if semi hollow or acoustic then i agree it could do some damage and of all the projects i have seen on you tube plus having did my own it does no harm to power sand a solid body.

  • umm ok, thanks

  • aww did i hurt your feelings..it looks like you removed my comment... maybe you should think about what you say before commenting on other peoples videos.

  • looks good but ya didnt take the trimolo off lol thairs still white underneath it lol but hell still looks good as long as ya dont use your trimolo

  • ya, never use it, why bother. cant play Lenny

  • ohh i fuckin love srv lol lenny is some hard shit lol

  • Im sorry but that looks terrible botch job.

  • Just a word of caution. Sometimes sanding perfectly good paint off an inexpensive guitar will reveal a nasty surprise like big chunks of odd colored wood that don't match. Consider that if they get a really nice piece of wood in a body at the factory they probably don't cover that up with paint , etc. Or we could all strip the paint and all play wood stained clear varnish finish like we had to do back in the 70's whether we wanted to or not.... not many colors offered then.

  • not exactly sure what yr getting at here, yhea i noticed that there were different slats not all matching , but also consider the pure joy of just having a project to do and it being fun at the same time, the guitar still plays the same and maybe even a better tone.........would not trade my squire for anything...............thank you for yr comments

  • Not just inexpensive guitars these days even so called "name" makes are cobbled together from off cuts, the days of real craftsman quality are long gone, the best example was a so called flamed maple topped Fender strat that turned out to be a paper thin veneer over oddments glued together. Glad to see the strother used paint stripper and not power tools like i've seen on some of these.

  • that music??? is that drum beat from the digitech rp250????

  • i think so yeah if u listen at 2:03 sounds like someone goes ad presses the off button but the preset sounds like off an rp as well

  • i jamm with my rp as well...i think i added u on myspace.....

  • no u didn't i don't have myspace lol

  • my mistake i thought u the strother69 guy

  • just gel paint remover from lowes

  • how did you strip the original finish

  • how did you do that without removing the bridge and claw?!? madness! XD

  • looks good *****

  • CONSIDER PULLING THE BRIDGE OFF?

  • hey please help me out

so what did u use for

    painting part

    spray?

can u give me the exact name?

  • not sure if i am getn yr ?

  • He wants to know what was the name brand of paint you used

  • that stuff is just wood stain, it gives the wood a real dark and smooth look, you can buy it at like home depot or something

  • miniwax water based ones work really good on guitars

  • good work, looks nice.

  • Looks good, keeping the stickers on the pick guard was a nice touch
