Britain should get out of Northern Ireland. Period! Ireland should be one whole piece, not broken into two. No, I'm not from Ireland, I'm from Alabama, but my ancestors were from Ireland, and I think GB should just get out! They aren't an Empire, and haven't been for a VERY long time! If you actually new a bit about the partition of Ireland you wouldn't have made this comment, so don't comment on issues you clearly no nothing about. Also it's not Her Majesty's choice, it's the people of Northern Ireland's choice and they have chosen to continue in union for the time being, maybe one day Ireland will reunite, but that day is not today.

It would be more true to say that the majority of Northern Ireland do not want to be part of a republic containing all 32 counties, but even this may not be true for much longer. The proportion of Catholics to Protestants and Nationalists to Unionists is now increasing, slowly but surely. I believe a United Ireland is now on the horizon, but possibly decades away.

Well I may be the American offspring of Irish immigrants, but nothing stirs my ancestral blood more then a good Irish jig and this defiant anthem.
