  • @Progunist that's exactly right. Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • Chris Palko isn't just a rapper...he's what ever the fuck he wants to be.

  • "I dance with you just because you dance with me." That's beautiful.

  • God, Cage really fucked up with Depart From Me. This is honestly the worst song on that album... Is it even rap anymore? Most of the song was sung in that terrible terrible chorus. Count the time, theres about a minute and fifteen seconds of actual rapping in there. Thats a short free style... I got love for you Cage, but when are you gonna get back to a good rapping style like MFTB or Hell's Winters?

  • @Taellosify It's experimental. He's trying new things out and seeing what he likes. Also, he's never going back to Movies For The Blind. He has said before that he actually detests that album, because he wrote it during a time when he was deep into substance abuse and trying too hard to sound violent for the sake of shock value. He has a kid now and wants to get away from that. You don't have to like his new style, but at least respect his decision to better himself for his family's sake.

  • @ometta7 No... No, he said on his Twitter his next album will be back to his Cage Kennylz personna and sound similar to MFTB. I mean, unless you're calling him a liar.

  • @Taellosify I don't follow him on Twitter. I'm just going based on what I've heard him say in interviews.

Of course, it could be that Cage is just a spineless pussy motivated by greed who will bend over backwards for an unpleasable fanbase and completely backtrack on his former principles for the sake of selling more records.

Either way, all I'm saying is that I have the capability to enjoy both Movies For The Blind and Depart From Me. As such I'm happy no matter what he does. Are you?

  • @ometta7 No, because Depart from Me was garbage. Do you think me not liking Depart from Me is some great victory for you? You typed that out like 'AHA! Got him right where I want him now!" Depart from Me is pretty obviously garbage, I mean, he took what he did well in Hell's Winter and messed it up, this song is a perfect example. You cant tell me this song is even hip hop anymore. Theres just barely over a minute of him rapping. Theres more hook then anything else. That's bad.

  • @Taellosify It's bad because it's not entirely rap?

That says less about the album being "garbage" and more about you needing to broaden your horizons as far as music goes.

  • @ometta7 You're either retarded or being purposefully ignorant. Cage has and still markets himself as a rapper, so when you buy a Cage album, you expect... Can you guess it? Yes, rap. Cage is a terrible singer, not all non rap is bad, but Cage is bad at making non-rap. Again, any song that has more hook than body is bad from a technical standpoint. This is a pop album, plain and simple. Cage doesnt make good pop, when I buy a Cage album I dont want pop. Get it now?

  • @Taellosify Yes. You bought a Cage album and was disappointed at how you wasted your money on something you didn't like, and so you came here hoping to bitch it out in peace.

Sorry for harshing your buzz, bro. I'll mosey on out of here now.

    Punk-ass.

  • @ometta7 lol, do you really think you did anything but make yourself look stupid? Okay, cool man. (b'.')b

  • That's my take on it, anyway.

  • What I take from this: It might have a bit of a "take that" to club and party songs, particularly in the glam rap/crunkcore genre, but the main focus of the song seems to just be to showcase somebody with social anxiety problems or an introverted nature thrust into a very social and extroverted situation. In this case, dancing in a club. He's describing the awkward and out-of-place feeling he has which is turning into physical sickness as he grows more and more uncomfortable in his situation.

  • he sold out and became emo

  • @xBigGreg92x c'mon. i don't like his new music half as much as his old music. but he didn't sell out. he got off drugs, starting hanging out with more "hipster" rappers and grew older. it would kind of sad if he's 30something and rapping about raping and smoking dust like he's still young and ignorant.

  • @xBigGreg92x Lol he didn't sell out, he grew up. This song's making fun of mainstream rappers by the way if you couldn't work it out yourself.

  • @chonomakona to be honest i dont think hes making fun of mainstream rappers. this is one of my favorite songs and i dont think of it like that at all. i agree he didnt sell out, i think he changed his style a little bit. AND i like his new stuff as much as his old stuff.

  • wtf happened to cage

  • This song is dedicated to you. You know who you are. Yeah you. The one who for 5 years did nothing but tell me how much I bummed you out and how depressing I was but that didn't stop you from fucking me every time you got lonely. Bitch.

  • @braindeadapocalypse Dude you pretty much summed up all my feeling in one post.... thank you haha

  • @braindeadapocalypse

i think im in love with yu.

  • @imberx Love you too. lol.

  • @braindeadapocalypse Hahahaha

  • i wish this was a little bit longer

  • Cant stop listening to this sonng:]

  • dark&nice people give me the thumps if you agree!

  • Damn man shit is fucking dope puts me in a dark mode.

Kinda like wearing Spider mans black suit. >=]

  • idk, i love both old and new cage, and though i def prefer old cage, his new stuff is completely different and almost incomparable. yea, his old stuff is great, but that was when he was doing whatever the fuck he wanted and way too many drugs. that kind of lifestyle can only bring u so far. his new songs reflect a certain maturation, in that hes past his younger self and trying to get himself straight and concentrating on the ways he see things now.

  • I like it alot too. I listen to it a shitload. Like i said i just wish the lyrics weren't dumbed down. The structure of his song writing is nowhere near as complex as it once was.

  • @deorum987 Got a link to the 'original' song?

  • @HovaCarlito Compre-what? Oh yea that word is comprehension...

  • @HovaCarlito This is the original. He's talking about Cage's old stuff man.

  • When I first heard this one I thought it sucked and that the singing on the chorus was goofy, but now I actually really enjoy this song and the feelings it conveys.

  • fuck its not that i dont like the new cage... i just really fucking miss the old cage. its not the new subject matter he raps about its the fucking lyrical content. its not the same. its dumbed down. /end rant
