Too bad its not holiday release, every parents, uncle, aunt, friend will buy the game on those weeks. The thing I dont get is that from here to december they have 3 months to balance the game. They will release a patch anyways in the 1st week of release so whats the big unbalance thing that it need to push another month.
I would rather get it at xmas and get 1 big patch the next week IMO.

This is an easy fix. If everyone said ok blizz enough is enough we aren't going to buy D3 now cuz of delays blizz would release the game ASAP. It's all about money for any company and they know best. The game is finished. They just want more hype for sales.
You are doing a great job. There is one question that I had though. Are you able to pull up artisan recipes on the fly? In other words, two people are playing hoping that a recipe will drop but the other person has it?
I don't understand. So you're saying that the WD and Wiz spells are now based on weapon damage? So a WD is gonna have to run around with some huge strong battle axe to be effective now? Maybe I just don't understand.
@mtag51 it won't be the case.. There are wizard wands that give % bonus of damage for all wizard spells, but now, it will also scale off the weapon damage too. I think with axes/swords and other weapons that are not for wizard, he will lose damage since there won't be any extra bonus of damage that I mentioned in the first place.
@Jakke45 Ye, for me I just dream about a beta-key so I would gladly play the same content for 4 months in a row. I don't know but I guess I misread your post in a bit of a negative way, guess that's why I answered the way I did :P And I didn't mean that you were crying, more like it makes me happier that they keep the beta up for a longer period of time, and doesnt patch it up to much. Increases the chances that people without beta-keys will be able to join the party :)

FFSake 2012, im so bored right now. No game had ever made me stay up so late than diablo 2 more often than any other game. WoW creates more Ahole than good people to play with.

@gakiyarou Two handed staves? If you're talking about two handed sword or axes, or polearm they will most likely not have wizard stats on them or wizard only damage boost, casting speed...etc... so not really the best choice.
@Omb101frc even without "wizard stats" on them, if all the of the wizards spell scale with weapon damage, then those will end up being the best for highest damage.
@gakiyarou you might have slithly higher damage, but most likely no +% casting speed, +% wizard damage, and all those good wizard stats, like +mana regen, +mana, +spell crit, etc... Need more explanation?
@gakiyarou Also the difference in damage between barb weapon and staves is negligible at level 60, only one legendary is slightly higher damage than staves and the staff has + casting speed to make it better for caster. There might be a few occasions where you want to use barb weapon but that's because you can't find any weapons for your wiz... at all.

I like the simplification that wizards and witch doctors now use weapon damage. This makes sense actually, because skills like Haunt were just pitiful to use, doing 3 damage per tick when you could just use something else entirely doing 12 or 15 or 18 damage in 1 hit.
I don't think you'll see wizards using axes for base damage, because good wizard weapons should have cast rate and other modifiers that would be much better to use while still having a high base damage on the orb.
I seriously dont get why blizzard take so long with the current generation of games development. for example when i played SC2 i thought it was a good game (not excellent and definately not better than SC1). playing it, i definately didnt think that it was a 4 year + game at all. playing Mass Effect 1 and Halflife 2 for the very first time was a complete and utter mindblast...i could definately see 4-5 years of development there....blizzard have lost their originality spark.
They should just release the game early and patch the game frequently. They will get more money out of it and be able to use that money to further improve the game and will have a large community to find bugs and glitches.

And even if they do get a low rating, it will go up later as there will no longer be that many bugs. How would Blizzard "get more money" by releasing the game prematurely? I could see your point if they were going to require a monthly fee to play, however that is not the case. Also, "patch the game frequently" would only work if they only needed to make minor adjustments, not considering how fricken annoying it would be for the server to be down everyday. If they had a major issue like a whole act needed to be finished, then your "patch it frequently" idea would not be suitable.
@shortysdohdoh I'm just saying the majority of the people would just like to play the game as soon as possible. Even if it means to have the server down everyday. They could use the sales money to upgrade the game further at a faster rate.
@NexClariS That idea sounds good and would no doubt be fun for all of us. However, I don't think it's optimal for Blizzard OR us. Besides, Blizzard has always maintained a standard with their games. I would gladly wait another year for D3 if I knew it was going to be perfect and awesome! It would be better than getting it next week, dealing with bugs and issues, then downloading patches every time you log on.

I personally love how all legendary / set items include +X random attributes. It is going to make magic find runs in inferno, as well as the "auction house" very interesting. I wish they had announced a list of possible mods / prefixes and suffixes.
@tubawuba123 and you won't be able to play it either because you can only play online and every torrented game that I have ever seen you can't play online, especially with Battle.net, since you need a Cd key on your actual Battle.net account to play online.
From what I have seen the update is going to kill witch doctor daggers and wiz wands. Sure wands give + % dmg to dmg but unless wands are going to do more then 1/2 of what they do vs one handers not, let alone the dmg of a two handers they don't even come close to the dmg you will get from a sword/axe/club.
Wands and daggers were ment to be for the effects and they boosted mage spells for the two classes,but they do so little dps compaired to other weapons, why would you even think of usen them?
im not liking how the wizards skills are gonna rely on weapon damage. wizards shouldnt need to carry around a high damage weapon. maybe they shoulda made it so its dependant on like the orb or something?
I'm glad they're redoing the skills for and class functions for those 3 classes the system they had sucked a fat one, and the math was horribly off looked like a 2nd grader randomly generated all the numbers involved... lmao. On a side note i really hope they even it out much better. the new model there working with for skills and weapons is interesting but untried, it's a combination of wow diablo and some other 3rd thing that never existed lol, it's scewed to say the least.

BTW DH's passive still regenerates, but the rate at which it regens is cut in half. Bashiok confirmed that like a couple of minutes ago on the forums. So pretty much the DH is a combination of the Wizard, WD, and Barb's resource.
I dont get why a team of 60 experts cant finish the game in 90 more days, when the game has been playable up too diablo for months now. Owell, good coverage.
Wands and staffs will not be obsolete at all..you arent going to find +mana, or %faster cast speed on a high damage sword. Stop complaining. Weapon damage isnt the end all be all stat you're going to want on an item.

Hey force, I also found amulets on the new Diablo 3 Website. Some of which are oldies ( Such as Tal Rasha's Adjudication). This is very interesting because I heard that Amulets were not going to be released until an expansion. Very exciting stuff!

@NexClariS That idea sounds good and would no doubt be fun for all of us. However, I don't think it's optimal for Blizzard OR us. Besides, Blizzard has always maintained a standard with their games. I would gladly wait another year for D3 if I knew it was going to be perfect and awesome! It would be better than getting it next week, dealing with bugs and issues, then downloading patches every time you log on.

Yay. It is a bit sad about the 2012 release date, but I (and I'm sure many others), have waited for this game for nearly a decade now so a few more months shouldn't matter.

I personally love how all legendary / set items include +X random attributes. It is going to make magic find runs in inferno, as well as the "auction house" very interesting. I wish they had announced a list of possible mods / prefixes and suffixes.

From what I have seen the update is going to kill witch doctor daggers and wiz wands. Sure wands give + % dmg to dmg but unless wands are going to do more then 1/2 of what they do vs one handers not, let alone the dmg of a two handers they don't even come close to the dmg you will get from a sword/axe/club.
Wands and daggers were ment to be for the effects and they boosted mage spells for the two classes,but they do so little dps compaired to other weapons, why would you even think of usen them?

im not liking how the wizards skills are gonna rely on weapon damage. wizards shouldnt need to carry around a high damage weapon. maybe they shoulda made it so its dependant on like the orb or something?

I'm glad they're redoing the skills for and class functions for those 3 classes the system they had sucked a fat one, and the math was horribly off looked like a 2nd grader randomly generated all the numbers involved... lmao. On a side note i really hope they even it out much better. the new model there working with for skills and weapons is interesting but untried, it's a combination of wow diablo and some other 3rd thing that never existed lol, it's scewed to say the least.

BTW DH's passive still regenerates, but the rate at which it regens is cut in half. Bashiok confirmed that like a couple of minutes ago on the forums. So pretty much the DH is a combination of the Wizard, WD, and Barb's resource.

Wands and staffs will not be obsolete at all..you arent going to find +mana, or %faster cast speed on a high damage sword. Stop complaining. Weapon damage isnt the end all be all stat you're going to want on an item.

Hey force, I also found amulets on the new Diablo 3 Website. Some of which are oldies ( Such as Tal Rasha's Adjudication). This is very interesting because I heard that Amulets were not going to be released until an expansion. Very exciting stuff!
