This is one of my favourites of Carroll Gibbons. I am on the lookout for an original 78. It is great. I never tire of Carroll Gibbons. Thanks for sharing this record. Love it.
pax41 you did again found another version besides the vallee version. like nice minor key arrangement. nice tempo. sounds great.!!!!!!!!**********valle was the beter version as he theme songs from radio shows in the 1930's ROGHARM
Happy memories of an amazing friend of jazz, Don Guilietti, who opened his San Francisco Jazz radio show with this song many years ago. A great friend, ballroom dancer and fellow follower of the wonderful Royal Society Jazz Orchestra, I was there to watch him make his jazz dreams come true. I miss you old pal. Thanx Pax for posting, and thankyou Roybo1930 for leading me here.
@roybo1930 What I would not do to get the chance to record some of your records Bobby. I would like to hear a female version this tune. Thanks for your comments as always.
@pax41 Bob, This Eclips record is # 393 and is played by "The Biltmore Players" with a Female vocalest, Who I might add does one HE-- of a AWESOME job of singing it. I wish that I knew who it was!
I remember listening to this on the nights when I was allowed to stay up late

@1912cunard Gibbons outfit was a class act. Really like their backing on the Belle Baker recordings she made with them.

Elegant, very very classy, in the style of the British bands of that golden era. A pleasure. Many thanks Bob!
