man i was so disappointed when he got booted off.. im sorry but it doesn't take much of adams performances to see that he was the best by far that year.. he really should of won, although i disagree with the path he took with his music now days but he is still an amazing singer, if he sings songs like this that is, not too fond of the disco crap he is wasting his time with..

When ur an artist u can be a dumb artist or a entertainer I have to say couple of things one Adam is an entertainer his fav genres of music is both pop and rock so yes he's staying true to what he is. 2 his album was brilliant I never had such an album tht I could just walk to or keep my stride wit u kno how ur walking down. Blocks and what not. Yes his album was strongly pop influence but Thts what he wanted to do at rhe time. He also has majority of his songs sung accosticly live on
btw go watch outlaws of love, its the rebirth of the adam people fell in love with on idol. although I have loved his direction, nothing can beat adam and his voice, no theatrics, no electronics, just Adam and his voice pure talent.
seriousley people full stop you shouldent compare james to adam, as james is no where near in the same league as adam. I never got the comparsion, styliistically they are very similar, but vocally adam is far supeior, I just dont see it. That said tho adam is vocally supeior to any artist in the industry imo.
It's cool that he takes the time to thank those that helped him arrange the music, or, as he did in some other Idol performances, thank the musicians that played along with him. That really speaks highly of his character....at least to me.

Two years later I watch this performance again and I have the same emotional reaction that Paula had back then. Adam Lambert is a genius and a class act in every possible way. I am so happy that Adam found love and I am so excited about the second album!!!
Before this I didn't know who michale orland was, or any one behind the production,oh heck I hardly noticed the band members. Adam Lambert always thanked the band at the end of each performance and gave credit to people who helped him. What a humble guy with regal disposition.
I loved this guy when he came on idol but i really hated the direction he went in. The whole electronic pop genre he chose is so limited... His voice is made for a great rock n roll sound...I mean his album sold only about a million copies...His voice and talent deserved so much more...He should have broadened his genre...
@bloodthirstyworks I was glad to hear from Adam numerous times since his Grammy nomination that his second album will keep the vocals front and center. He himself admits that some tracks on "For Your Entertainment" were somewhat overproduced which was an oversight due to the rush job they had to do. If you enjoyed Adam's vocals and performance qualities during Idol you should check out "Glam Nation Live" dvd/cd. His over 100 international concerts last year were stellar in every possible way!!
Thank you for the recommendation..I really do appreciate it...But honestly, i hate Glam rock....i despise it...I'm more of a jazz/black metal/black Sabbath/ Guns n Roses/Dream on kinda guy....But if he makes a really good album and by that i mean a serious album without all the pop hooks...i will be front in row when his album drops....

@moocher678 I just can't see why people can't like both singers, they should stop bashing either one of them, they are both great, Adam was more consistent, and had more range in music, but James did great as well, but after the show now, I think I'll go with what James will put out, Adam has picked the wrong route with his music, I hate it, he was great on the show, but his CDs not so good. James will stay with metal, something that Adam's should stick with too.

That album was crap, and one good hit, those who bought it, I feel bad for, I loved Adam on the show, but after that he went far too wrong for me, Nothing he is doing now compares to the show. James did classic metal not rock, Adam did 'who lotta love' classic metal and did amazing at it, that was one of his best. James probably won't get a record deal (not knowing if he has) because I know he's loyal to what he does. (opinion)

Most of the songs he did were pop he did 2 rock sngs, james is predominantly a metal singer, who struggles with other genres. Best contestant AI has ever had..never again will there be another Adam...love him and love so many of his songs....his performances are flawless. So glad he didn't win the AI title because he would have been under contract for a year and wouldn't have been able to do his own thing. He's had a great career so far and sells more cd's than Kris Allen...who by the way couldn't sing his way out of a box, lol. Kris needed that AI title, Adam didn't. :) <3

He gives nothing but an authentic and outstanding performance. Star was written all over Adams face the first time we saw him in the AI auditions. AI never had such a professional contestant before. Adam had mesmerizing confidence. I don't think we will ever see another Adam on AI. I wish Adam well!
I came looking for this song & hearing Adam sing it the way he sang, it just pulled me though making me fell i was right there. Adam has an amazing voice that can take you places with your eyes closed. Again he rocked it out for me.

I wish people would just stop trying to cause problems between Adam & James!!! If you are a true fan of Adam (I am!)-then you would know that he is NOT the type of person to say the things about James (I am also a big fan of) that some of you are saying!!! So please just stop it!! Why can't you get over the fact that both of these guys are so talented, and that they will both be very, very successful! James and Adam don't have a problem-so you people trying to cause problems-STOP!!

Two years later I watch this performance again and I have the same emotional reaction that Paula had back then. Adam Lambert is a genius and a class act in every possible way. I am so happy that Adam found love and I am so excited about the second album!!!

Before this I didn't know who michale orland was, or any one behind the production,oh heck I hardly noticed the band members. Adam Lambert always thanked the band at the end of each performance and gave credit to people who helped him. What a humble guy with regal disposition.

I loved this guy when he came on idol but i really hated the direction he went in. The whole electronic pop genre he chose is so limited... His voice is made for a great rock n roll sound...I mean his album sold only about a million copies...His voice and talent deserved so much more...He should have broadened his genre...

@bloodthirstyworks I was glad to hear from Adam numerous times since his Grammy nomination that his second album will keep the vocals front and center. He himself admits that some tracks on "For Your Entertainment" were somewhat overproduced which was an oversight due to the rush job they had to do. If you enjoyed Adam's vocals and performance qualities during Idol you should check out "Glam Nation Live" dvd/cd. His over 100 international concerts last year were stellar in every possible way!!

Thank you for the recommendation..I really do appreciate it...But honestly, i hate Glam rock....i despise it...I'm more of a jazz/black metal/black Sabbath/ Guns n Roses/Dream on kinda guy....But if he makes a really good album and by that i mean a serious album without all the pop hooks...i will be front in row when his album drops....

an absolute injustice was served to Adam Lambert...Amerian Idol has lost all credibility and even more so now with James Durbin....I am not comparing the 2 of them as they are both different in their own ways but both have alot of talent...I am just glad Adam showed Idol he didnt need them to be successful and where is Kris Allen? And who really cares where he is...he won and didnt deserve it.

@moocher678 I just can't see why people can't like both singers, they should stop bashing either one of them, they are both great, Adam was more consistent, and had more range in music, but James did great as well, but after the show now, I think I'll go with what James will put out, Adam has picked the wrong route with his music, I hate it, he was great on the show, but his CDs not so good. James will stay with metal, something that Adam's should stick with too.

That album was crap, and one good hit, those who bought it, I feel bad for, I loved Adam on the show, but after that he went far too wrong for me, Nothing he is doing now compares to the show. James did classic metal not rock, Adam did 'who lotta love' classic metal and did amazing at it, that was one of his best. James probably won't get a record deal (not knowing if he has) because I know he's loyal to what he does. (opinion)

@ARBO2k9 lol no adam did what he knew would sell. Music is not what it used to to. YOu say he is not doing what he does on ths show? Most of the songs he did were pop he did 2 rock sngs, james is predominantly a metal singer, who struggles with other genres. Adam is being smart he knows pop fusion is the future, and besides most of his album is a mix it has alot of rock sensisiblity, music again brilliant song, sfw.

Pop sells not classic rock, if adam or james did classic rock that means the classic part and covers, its pretentious and derrivivative. Best contestant AI has ever had..never again will there be another Adam...love him and love so many of his songs....his performances are flawless. So glad he didn't win the AI title because he would have been under contract for a year and wouldn't have been able to do his own thing. He's had a great career so far and sells more cd's than Kris Allen...who by the way couldn't sing his way out of a box, lol. Kris needed that AI title, Adam didn't. :) <3

Thank you AIS8rocks for posting this video "If I can't have you - Adam Lambert". This is one of my favorite songs. I have always been a Bee Gees fan. Wow! Adam looked so handsome that night. He gives nothing but an authentic and outstanding performance. Star was written all over Adams face the first time we saw him in the AI auditions. AI never had such a professional contestant before. Adam had mesmerizing confidence. I don't think we will ever see another Adam on AI. I wish Adam well!

I came looking for this song & hearing Adam sing it the way he sang, it just pulled me though making me fell i was right there. Adam has an amazing voice that can take you places with your eyes closed. Again he rocked it out for me.
