1. how is that an irrelevant point? that was one of the point that Hitchens made(regarding to why we shouldnt let mullahs have bombs), which again ther is no evidence to it. Also saddam fully declared itself as a threat to Iran and it wudv bn very ignorent of iran to just wait for another wave of iraqi attack wich wud b supported by nex shipment of milllitary funds/equipments from the USA.

Also unfortunetly all gouvernments has a brutality way of dealing with its opposers. Iran is not afraid to do it out in the open cuz beating in iran has litterly became a custom for the basijs. 1. You obviously only got half the point. He also referred to how Iran treated its own people, something you deliberately overlooked (showing your own weakness), and it is also what 95% of the video is about. You looking for loose ends shows how insincere you are. Saddam never "declared" himself a threat. In fact, he considered Iran a threat. Also, the Iranian slogan "The Road to Jerusalem Goes through Karbala," hardly sounds defensive.
