  • I'm playing this game right now on my PS Vits xD

  • Where can i get the demo

  • So, that was the face of the Master Game Reviewer.

  • is this online game?

  • A lot of people are praising the game promoter in the video, and he deserves it. I've just downloaded it due to his pure genuine enthusiasm for this game. Great job dude. Give the man a pay rise damn it!!!!!

  • do you have to start all over after you beat the game ???

  • quick question, um whats up with you and flamethrowers!?!?! cause i was watching the dungeon fighter review and as soon as u saw the flame thrower skill for the female gunner u flipped.

  • His own savegame, nuff said. Respect! :D

  • i dled this game after watching this video played through it, liked it so much i actually went to go buy it. I find the whole hitting on the fly as opposed to turn based rpg's a fresh change from the shit i've been playing lately, good stuff.

  • sold

  • Thanks so much for your videos man. Just so you know, Xseed, this guy talking on this video representing you is awesome - he is a big reason I am picking this game up tomorrow. Keep up the great work guys.

  • Fucking sold! PSN here I come.

  • That guy is really good at what he does. A very enjoyable and informative video. I've got to pick this up. Thank you!

  • I fucking LOVE YS!

  • I loved Ys VII but never defeated the last boss...

  • I'd give up certain members of my family to be allowed to work with these people. :D

  • That is indeed Wyrdwad. I couldnt think of anybody better doing the english localization than him. The spokesperson for the english versions of Falcom games.

  • @TheSideshowNick Really? that is him the guy in the video? lol I never knew....

  • Is this Wyrdwad? He seriously seems like he is. Awesome guy all around, and a great video to show off. Thanks for boosting the Ys popularity! People need to learn about Ys!!!

  • this guy is so passionate! he's a good pitchman

  • I appreciate the guy pitching the game. He is very passionate. I hope to get a PSP in the coming months and plan to pick this one up.

  • is there multiplayer on this game?

  • kablaaam haha

  • i want this game sooooo bad

  • I bought this game caz of him! :D and it is awsome!

  • As much as I love fighting games, Falcom should stay away from this genre.Fans will spit you out at any sign of unoriginality or any polishness to SF or Newest KOF. Falcom has always had unpolished mechanics, and I understand this Y's game is well executed, fighting games are a whole different beast.

  • @burningranger01: It's not your typical fighting game. Think Dissidia with a decent combat system and something vaguely akin to a cohesive plot.

  • @burningranger01 Google イースvs空の軌跡 and you'll see it isn't a 2D fighting game. From the demo videos of the game it looks just like Ys Seven with two players fighting each other.

  • @burningranger01 The fighting game イースvs.空の軌跡 is a fighting game like smash is a 4 player fighting game. Also the combat is just like in Ys seven.

  • Makes me try this game series! :D

  • This guy is great.

  • The only problem with this is that he clearly has a crap ton of stuff you don't get, including the sword you can't get until the very end and Adol's second extra skill which you can't get until beating the moon dragon. Making it look far easier than it actually is.

  • This Xseed guy is awesome.

  • I'll take 20!

  • He does have unusually large nose though...

  • @fvgotch indeed he does.. he'd have someones eye out with that if he's not carefull!!

  • i like that guy.. but he kinda looks like a hamster ;D

  • wow i would love this guy co-reviewing with Mark.

  • Rapid Snipe... KABLAM!!

  • that guy is a great speaker. knows what hes talking about.

  • This dude was just......Cool :D

  • I love the guy being interviewed!

Can he give me the low down on all these games? I would buy them all.. Just makes them look soo fun

  • I hate Japanese RPGs but this looks alright.

  • @vgamedude12 ? arent most r[gs from japan

  • @370046Byakuya

    Yes, but not all.

  • @vgamedude12 hmm nice to know.

  • @370046Byakuya Most JRPG style RPGs are from Japan, but I would be hesitant to say that most RPGs are. There are also Western RPGs, which is quite a broad sub-genre, and we are also seeing a new sub-genre known as Euro-RPGs popping up (it is quite similar to WRPGs, but quite a bit more complex).

  • guy: though if you fall its not instant death, you can fall down and u-

mark: its a slow painful death.

  • game looks pretty fun. If only Birth by sleep wasnt coming out in 2 weeks

  • When you change you equipment, does it show? Also how did you get a PSP game on your TV?

  • When you change your equipment, does it show?

  • I just bought Y's 7 this week and I'm loving it so far. It's definitely better than the Ark game that came out a few years ago. Leveling up is very balanced and it's easy to get characters caught up when they've been out of the rotation for a while. But most of all, it's the most gamey video game I've played in a long time. It's just fun. Kudos to Xseed for making probably the best original rpg yet on the psp.

  • Nice Preview and Demo. Seen the other trailers/movies for this game and can't wait to get this one :D BTW, XSeed were saying on their forums that they have 5 other Ys titles they want to localize for North America, with the Oath of Felgina (I think that's how it's spelled) next on their "to-do" list.

  • KABLAM

  • this year is great for psp owner......

at least i have a game for my psp this year.....

waiting for valkyria chronicles 2 and birth by sleep......

  • "If this game sells well".... really? With one very short trailer, no commercials, no ads, nothing, you expect it to sell well? This is why I hate it when companies back out on game series and whatever from "poor sales" when it was their own fault for not doing jack shit to create any sort of hype for it.

  • @yoyoyo88665

I don't think it's a very big company. They'd probably have to "sell out" to a bigger publishing company to get that kind of advertisement and what not. Besides, the ports they are doing sound more like a fan service thing than anything. I could be wrong though

  • i wasn't thinking about getting this game bcuz of valkyria chronicles 2 and kingdom hearts birth by sleep, but when i saw a couple of gameplay video and saw the premiun edition i jus reserved it. Can't wait till tomorrow when it release. the psp has a few good game coming this fall

  • So looking forward to Tuesday's release. Got the limited edition too!

  • That albino guys voice is awful.

  • Ys the banished omen the very first one is my all time favourite.

  • The guy playing is so awesome!

  • So we may get the fighting game if it sells well?

We all know what to do now... right? >:)

  • guy is very honest

  • best game demo i think ive ever seen. this guy knows his Ys man...damn. and ya he sold me on it too. im getting the collectors edition depending on if my psp works anymore.

  • This looks even better than Ys: The Oath in Felghana!

  • Corporate America needs to take a page or two from this guy. He's a prime example of having someone love what they do. Most retail pitchmen are so fucking annoying, they'll say anything to please the consumer.

However, with this guy you can tell he's very passionate about this game, he's your typical hardcore gamer, and that's who buys these games, GAMERS.

If i wanted to watch some douche promo something, i'd watch Jersey Shore.

  • @LaenPvP Even though my degree is in public relations, I agree with you 100% I have seen non-gamers pitch at trade shows and it is pretty pathetic. This guy makes me want to buy this game and I will.

  • @LaenPvP I totally agree. It is also the reason why I dislike videogame site such as gamespot.com etc biased as hell, all in it for the money and nothing more.

  • @LaenPvP very true sir, quite right

  • @LaenPvP My experience with XSEED has always been as such. They are a company that loves their games and it really tells in their product. Lunar: Silver Star Story Harmony is a prime example. I grew up on the Lunar series and never thought that any company could do any justice to Lunar that Working Designs did back in the day. XSEED proved me wrong by showing me an excellent localization that pleased old fans and created new ones. They are my favorite localizing company and it comes from love.

  • Thank you so much for making videos about these PSP Ys games. I have been very curious about these games but not very many sites are covering them. All of these XSeed games have convinced me to get a PSP.

  • He's so passionate about Ys 7...I just have to buy this game now.

  • I have always loved the Y's games since I played books I & II on my TG-16 CD-ROM so many many years ago. It's a shame that these games aren't getting any attention by any of the major gaming magazines or websites.

  • Love The Ys Games, Anyone Else ?

  • Ah this is awful, I don't have a PSP yet these games look amazing, just my kind of JRPG. And the PSP has a lot of other JRPG's too, I hear. I have a DS though, if any of you know a good RPG/JRPG on the DS, let me know please.

  • @TheThrashAnvil i think the Atlus rpg games on the DS are pretty solid. and there will be a release of Ys 1&2 Chronicles on the DS if u wanna check that out. but other than that i dont really know many since i dont have a DS.

  • @XxArkhamxAsylumxX - Chronicles is NOT coming to DS. The Ys I & II games on the DS now are the only ones planned for release on that system - and Ys I & II Chronicles on the PSP are FAR better games IMHO. (Your mileage may vary, though, of course!)

  • @TheThrashAnvil

For PSP you have to be very careful when picking a JRPG,most of them are mediocre to complete shit. For DS,the Shin Megami Tensei games are pretty good, the FF remakes 3 & 4, Mario & luigi, just a few examples.

  • @Thancruz um Valkyrie Profile lenneth wasn't crap, lunar silver star harmony wasn't crap, star ocean was fun, Persona 3 is fun, there's many awesome good jrpgs on psp, its the best portable console for jrpgs. Nintendo DS is the best portable console for crossword puzzles and how to bake cakes.

  • @Nox4ever00

yea those were good, but there are more shitty rpgs compared to good ones. I personally go to the DS for my rpg fix. But I personally wouldn't go as far to say its the best for rpgs, cuz most r trash.

  • OMG! he is nosferatu!! watch out dont turn the back on him!!

  • This dude sold me. I'm getting all 3

  • You guys are being really hard on this guy, but damn, he's pale. He's been living in his brother's shadowf for too long, Snake.

  • That guy knows his stuff. I find it reassuring that an uber fan is working on the game. ^_-

  • I've wanted to play one of the newer Ys games since I played Ys III back on the SNES, looks like I won't be playing this one any time soon either since it's on the PSP

  • @MassZombicide - Awww... you should get a PSP! It's an awesome system. Great selection of games, and built-in TV-out functionality on all but the oldest model!

  • OMG - the WINDCAPE !!!!

  • KABLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And then... KABLAM.

  • I've heard about Ys games maybe once in my life, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get Ys7 after this presentation.

  • Shame it's PSP only...

  • @shaurz Shame u dont have one..

  • Wow, this guys enthusiasm is great, not just some drone, a real gamer who actually enjoys what he's promoting! He really sold it to me and I'm not into RPGs at all :)

    +1 KA-BLAM!

  • I have not played any of the Ys games but this looks cool. I'll see if I can pick it up somewhere.

  • Ka-blam. That enemy's toast.

    lettersfromtheleft is very correct.

  • This man could easily sell ice cubes to people on the north pole.

  • KABLAMM!!

  • I need more SNES games solely for playing in my PJs on Saturday mornings.

  • i love it how people call that guy a super nerd

    beautiful irony

  • @kaiserzero61

a super nerd making more money then they do lol.

  • the combat looks really fun. I dont have a PSP, but i really wish i did...

also Save anywhere is one of the greatest features any game can hope to have.

  • Kablam, that enemys toast

  • @quote55 haha i liked dat part

  • KABLAM!

  • That guy looks like an incerdibly nice guy! I like this game, soooo gonna buy it.

  • that guy is cool

  • Somewhere HappyConsoleGamer just crapped his pants. I am gonna buy all three of those games. First I need to look up release dates. Great video Mark.

  • AW :( i wish i had a psp

  • @xXRush4lifeXx i wish i got my psp back since someone stole it from me. :(

  • Hell yeah, This looks like a very good game.

  • This game looks soo good, I hope they realease it in europe too!

  • @KaptenLime it release in europe but in psn,not retail (umd)......

plus,u can import na umd version since psp are region free.....

  • @shinkuu91 Thanks man :)

  • @shinkuu91

If you want a umd copy you may have to try ordering or reserve a copy. I had a similar problem looking for a umd copy here in the US. Apparently they didn't ship many umd copies anywhere without a fair number of preorders. It's definitely not the mainstream title I thought it'd be, but it's one of my fav psp games nonetheless.

  • this guy can sell.

  • that guy totally hooked me for this game.

  • Wow, that's awesome. XD Such a fit game for a CGR review as well.

  • 77 hours in impressive, that definitely means that game is good. everything he explained sounds like something an rpgs NEEDS

its these kinds of people that know what they're talking about that sell the games for me, not those face paced commercials that don't explain anything

  • This looks really fun!! This is exactly what I've been looking for, an action dungeon crawler. Also I loved Ys I and II

  • 80's + SNES + Kerblamm = Great interview. Being a big fan of YS I really enjoyed this.

  • cool guy.

  • KERBLAAAMMMM !!!

  • why do you turn into a troll, when you play it like 77 hours?

  • Wow! This game actually looks pretty good! :O

  • UBER ALLES

  • the guy is nerdy as hell .. lol mark is like yeah wheres the flame throwers lmao i knew it !!

  • Looks like a great game, but it's kinda too friendly.. I like when game punish you badly when you fail. This game reminded me myself long time ago, when I crawled to my TV to play Genesis! :P

  • @TankT9 Friendly? You just wait. The boss battles are really challenging. Plus there are four levels of difficulty :D

  • @MinaseTakix oh really? How about if boss defeats you he loot all you're inventory totally including armor and weapons. It's nothing compare to 4 level of difficulty. ;)

  • Wow, it looks pretty damn good. RPG but non turn based, I love that stuff.

I will be picking up this game I suppose, if I can scrounge together the money

  • happy console gamer be happy

    to play this.. :D

  • you need bay flamethrower

  • Dow, makes me want to play FF10 and finish it. So I can spend even more time playing X-2....

Is there a rehab for JRPG addicts?

  • this guy seems like a gamer, alot of the other people working at those booths seem to be just sales people, without too much interest in what they are selling.

  • @lightdark28 I agree. He really seems like he has a real passion for games.

  • kaBlaaamm!

  • That guy seemed cool. xD

  • I might have to look into this one, looks fun. The wind cape icon reminds me of some accessory you can get in final fantasy tactics.

  • it LAGS!

  • ok he got me, ill buy it! looks fun

  • He sure loves telling us about his pajamas...

Why can't all the people at E3 be this funny? Hell, most of the time, they don't even know about their own games.

I'll probably buy this just because the guy did a great job talking about it.

  • KABLAAM

  • I like that guy.

  • mark you are awesome.

  • super nerd

  • Leave the guy alone he was friendly and hlpfull if your into these sorta games. I used to do the same thing as a kid with my SNES too ,there was nothing better then on a cold night or morning with the heater on and playing some SNES. I understand where he was coming from becouse i still play my SNES to get that good old fealing i had as a kid. As a young lad SNES and Megadrive games gave so much fun back then becouse there was nothing like DK's,MK's,Mario and Sonic

  • Dude, he sounds like a fucking nerd, like seriously lmao.

  • "You get rewarded for failing" Life should take tips from Ys.

  • Yeah This Is Awesome Hope PSN Gets Demo Of This.

  • I would buy a PSP just for this game, holy shit, this looks like so much fun.

  • please tell me it's gonna come up to europe :'(

  • Looks great.

  • KABLAM!

  • blah blah blah blah "supernintendo".... OMG THIS GAMES AMAZING

  • Ys is a great series; I'm definitely going to end up buying these PSP Ys games and hope they port that fighting game

  • the guy in the black shirt kinda looks like Nosferatu

  • Pre-ordered mine!...woot!

  • I am going to pre-order this game soon. Gauranteed, if there is a fighting game i hope Classic Game Room can inform us of this. The battle system is awesome for a PSP and the graphics are beautiful as well.

  • whoa someone needs a tan o.o

  • I love this spokesperson. He's extremely poetic about JRPG's

  • YS, YEAH!!!

  • This guy is EXACTLY who I'd expect to demo a game like this. And something tells me he's REALLY into hentai.

  • @lettersfromtheleft if he disacribed a hentai to me, i would prob fap to his description, no no, he was very passionate about ys haha

  • @lettersfromtheleft he does look like one of my friends

  • I have Ys ark of napishtim, good game, hopefully they'll fix the major problems though (loading, lack of knowing what to do...)
