@middlebit only recently familiar. i first heard of them when i read an article discussing one bass player's exit from and another's onboarding to the roots.
@LLroomtempJ Right. Well, if you check out their first release (and I recommend you do) and live performances you'll find deep grooves merging and overlapping with them playing "past each other", seemingly free but without ever losing the groove. In my opinion, this particular aspect of their collective effort very much defines the Mister Barrington sound. Once you get used to it, you'll find that it is indeed in sync (though in a warped way) and does groove hard all the way.
