Roll is as cute and sweet as she has always been (Marvel vs Capcom was a bitch portrayal that tarred her image) like Nakoruru and I'm happy to see her here, but because the other sweet catgirl Felicia was left out in favour of the old and fat Japanese housewife Morrigan I have to abstain from casting a fiscal vote for this garbage game that featured low-tiers from low-sales games like Ryu, Batsu, Alex and Megaman from the Legends series.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom is an awesome game =) It's a shame that they didn't keep the anime-esc endings. Hopefully MvC3 will offer a lovely balance of characters. including more from Darkstalkers. I'd love to see Bulleta/BBH back and kickin' ass =)

This is great. I can tell that Capcom and Tatsunoko productions put alot of effort into creating this theme. Not many companies would work so hard to impress their players. This is why Capcom is heads above the rest.

We're lucky to even get the game. Mini games were taken out, ending videos, character theme or turned to English. I didn't like Roll's Theme in English. It's decent but This is Way Superior. The Intro's still nice but the japanese is still better.

Well to be fair, Roll's theme in English was made to be her ending theme, not her battle theme, so Capcom changed the instrumentation to accomadate that. so i try not to compare the two and consider the songs under their own standing, and i think both versions are really awesome.

I applaud Capcom for even taking the time to translate the song to English when they already took out the rest of the character themes. makes me think Capcom actually likes to suprise it's fans.

It seems you've set your hopes a bit too high my friend. As Florian had stated, we're lucky to have even gotten the game due to the nightmarish process of securing the rights to all the Tatsunoko characters Capcom had to go through. The issue is here isn't the effort they put in, but how much content had to be left back due to said copyright. And do you really need THAT many translations in a fighting game? As long as u know how it works, I don't see the problem here.

This is just a personal thought but I think that the smaller the character roster, the better the balance between characters, which is advantageous to those who'd like to master several different characters. In this aspect, it's much closer to Marvel vs Capcom 1 in terms of character balance.

Oi, remember that they had to scale back much of the content due to licensing.  Saying that they put barely any effort is silly when you see that we've all been long overdue for a good crossover fighter. Considering the VARIETY of the characters include (and holy cow, it's balanced), it's quite a package.

TvC was like a re-launch of the crossover franchise, let's hope Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (and possibly TvC2) turn out to be good.

@DarkJokerOfAmuro Probaly for the added things like More characters, Fixes(Rock HAD infinite combo along with others), online, Player Icon, extra Game mode. We lost the cravy songs that can be played for battle and all the other stuff as you stated, but also a Character due to copyright problems. When hackers can figure out to change the music for the game. I'll change the music to my likings so I find one song in stage I like to fight too and I like the stage itself.

A lot of it was legal issues. Keep in mind Tatsunoko is not all one company in the States; many companies own many franchises, and many, if not all, of the theme songs of Tatsunoko characters that are in Japan are not used in the translations. I can't say I blame them for removing them. Be thankful you got the game to begin with!

Yep, they removed stuff from the original. Just got the US version. I liked a lot of the characters' themes... maybe I should get the JP version of Ultimate All-stars when it's released in just about 2 more days. Not that I'm unhappy with the one I have right now, but it won't hurt to have both. =)

It really does the have the same music. As in the Japanese version of UAS, because they're getting the exact same thing we did with Japanese text. As for why it was taken out: all licensing issues in North America and Europe. Too many different companies own Tatsunoko properties in the West. Some were happy to let Capcom use their properties, others weren't.

The same can be said about daimao he would be the one character Ntsc and pal copies would not have. so hes not in the J version either.

It's kind of... not Tatsunoko's fault. They're not the ones who have the say overseas about it. It's the companies they licensed to, and they couldn't get all of them to agree to let them use the music, so they decided not to use any, rather than have it missing for some Tatsunoko characters, while the others and the Capcom characters had themes. I suspect a similar reason might lie behind removing Hakushon Daimaou, but it might be that he's totally unknown in the US, not just obscure
