(continued) I love what you've done with the graphics and sound effects to inject humor and drama to the presentation. You acknowledge that fractions can be frustrating, yet encourage your audience to tackle them head-on.
Have you ever considered ADR'ing this? It's pure gold, and I'd love to show it to the kids I teach. Not sure if they'll be able to understand it with our bad speakers, though, hehe.
I am an independent filmmaker and a (beginning) math teacher, and I have to say this is FREAKING AMAZING. I have always loved math, and therefore have trouble breaking it down for kids who struggle with it.
I was searching online for advice or examples of people explaining LCD in a fun (or at least not boring.. or confusing way) when I found your film (I also love the one about negatives). I'm going to watch this over and over until I can capture at least a little bit of your swagger, lol.
I'm just glad you can understand it through the reverberation. I now regret adding that.
I was a math teacher from 1994 to fairly recently, and that was just my minor.
But forgive me, I'm inundated with acronyms all day. What does "ADR" stand for? If its similar to DVD burning, I have done that before and could do it again.
@SpreadingtheMuse Sorry, ADR (Automatic Dialogue Replacement) is another name for dubbing. I hear sound people toss that term around so much that I've started using it myself (although I fail to see what's so "automatic" about dubbing!)
Indeed, replacing the dialogue would be anything but automatic. It would be a titanic hassle as the FX and voice are all intermingled. I'm prepared to let the movie stand as it is, as I no longer add that reverb (and havent for 4 years) and all my newer movies speak for themselves.
Mr. Finnigan. Logic is irrevent. I have learned to follow my dreams whether that means going to the latest Star Trek convention in the Del Sada Plaza or getting a plane ticket to where they filmed the last Lord of the Rings on the plains of Rohan leading to the battle of Minis Terith and the entire Middle Earth. Have you ever forged a sword Mr. Finnigan. Well lets just say I own an armory. I am also currently the President of our local Star Trek fan club. If we ever meet you are free to join.
The sound will be an eternal regret of mine. What seemed like a good idea at the time did not age well at all. : / My sole consolation is that I ceased doing that that reverb in all my most recent movies. As for improving it...it might only be possible by redubbing all the dialogue, or doing subtitles. ugh.

wait...if you're MATHMAN, shouldn't you be EATING *ONLY* the numbers that are fractions and not mixed numbers, and Mr. Glitch eats YOU if you are wrong??? Cuz that's how *I* remember it working. And you're supposed to be in a pacman-esque arcade machine, too...
