  • "THis has shamed us all" is the best bit.

  • i was at soul surviver this week and came home today ive never felt tha good i now realise how good god is and mikes humour made everyone laugh not only do they get the point across but also they add fun and make it more relatable to young people

  • I thought Christianity was allowed to be fun and happy. I was at SS week B last year and I had never felt God's presence as clearly as I did then. I'm not the kind of person to get 'hysterical' in church either, but one night I was filled with the holy spirit so much so, that I couldn't stop laughing. It was like God's presence had filled me up and now it was overflowing. How can being happy be a bad thing if God made us with these emotions, and clearly wan't us to display them!

  • He looks so young in these clips :)

  • @roofie234 slimmer..LOL

  • Great to see all these Christians laughing.

  • Soul survivor is definitely the closest encounter I've had with god. Mike is a blessed and amazing preacher who captures the interests of young people with what has been called "immature humor" and hundreds of young people have turned to christ because of his teachings. There's nothing wrong with enjoying yourself and worshiping god, How many teenagers do you think would go something like soul survivor if they had to sit silently and study the bible and behave in a "religous fashion"?

  • What a really really anointed guy Mike P is, went last year, and met with God, saw loads of people meeting with God and being healed both physically and emotionally. He's so funny as well. Am going to week A again this year can't wait,

  • i'm sick of these people who say o mikes not behaving properly and all this. let me ask you a question... do people become saved at soul survivor? do lifes get changed? do young people interact with god? do they enjoy mikes preaching? these people are the same people who are holding christianity back, saying we have to sing old hymes we have to wear ties to church we mus'nt enjoy church, god clearly looks down on soul survivor with great passion other wise it would'nt continue to grow!!

  • I posted the previous comment before I saw his rather loutish and inappropriate singing, how can someone seek to be an ambassador for Christ when he insists on lacking the basic tenants of the fruits of the spirit. Where is his humility, and where is his self awareness. The way he is behaving is an embarrassment to the body of Christ as anyone who does not know who he is or perhaps is a follower of other religions but still seeking will be immediately turned off by his attitude which does not d

  • @indigoisthecolourofg This video is clearly intended to be a compendium of Mike's best jokes. He does not make light of the Christian message, he makes light of his colleagues, who give as good as they get.

I have never come across a preacher who tells people that it is about Christ and not the preacher or the music, as much as Mike does.

Perhaps you should go to Soul Survivor and see for yourself, rather than judging someone by a YouTube video.

  • @Beanieguy1 I have been to Soul Survivor, I attended in 2006 expecting to enlightened by Christian leaders who have been actively pursuing a better understanding of the messages of Christ or at the very least offer a visible example of a Christian who has practiced the Faith enough to assume a position of guidance and authority. All I found when I attended was a lot of hype and noise, immaturity from the leaders, and frightfully basic understandings of the Scriptures from those who were seeking

  • to teach others and a complete lack of depth and authenticity. There was no spiritual discipline, no advanced open discussion forums NOTHING! And I was frankly disheartened that the organisers and leaders of the events thought they had attained a level of understanding sufficient to "save" other young people. My point in the previous post was this, if Mike had truly developed in the spiritual qualities that a high level leader who is reaching a lot of people should have, then ...

  • it would not even enter his consciousness to behave in the ways he does as he would be empowered by the Spirit of Christ and that would be sufficiently self evident both within and externally. All that behaving in a shallow, immature fashion achieves (even if in jest) is to ill-prepare people for accepting a true experience of Christ (as opposed to one based upon hype and being "pumped") and demonstrates a "lesser" example of a follower of Christ rather than one surrounded by Truth and Holiness

  • @indigoisthecolourofg I have spoken at length to Mike and other leaders at Soul Survivor. I don't agree with everything Mike believes and I would not expect to, as many diasgree on a few secondary issues, but to say that Mike has a 'basic understanding of the scriptures' and 'a complete lack of depth and authenticity' is, in my eyes, completely wrong. He preaches with authority and understanding to young people on issues concerning young people. I would also say similar things of the vast...

  • @indigoisthecolourofg majority of leaders there. I also don't understand the second part of your comment. It has been my experience that spiritual discipline has been majored on, for example this year they lauched a programme to get young people to read the Bible in a year. There were also a number of seminars on subjects concerned with spiritual discipline, with opportunities to talk about it afterwards.

What do you mean with the comment about saving young people? Are you referring to the...

  • @indigoisthecolourofg points in the service where they ask people to come forward to make a declaration of faith? If this is so, then firstly I would say that everyone in the service knows that Jesus is the saviour, and Mike isn't.

I don't understand what your problem is with his behaviour. It is clear when the spirit is moving because the jokes stop and even if they didn't, why would that mean the Holy Spirit wasn't there? He can use all situations however he wants to.

  • @indigoisthecolourofg Sorry you'll have to read from the bottom up!

  • Why does this man make light of the Christian message so frequently and resorts to cheap, crude, immature humour in order to reach youthful people. Mike seriously needs to open his eyes to the truth of God in his actual experience and action rather than just acting like a rockstar who lacks demonstrative authenticity not to mention poise and self control.

  • @indigoisthecolourofg Someone is clearly still upset about the restoration...
