He literally wanted to make Samus into the frail helpless little girl that appeals to the Japanese demographic, hell, he even said "Why is Samus wearing purple? Best Metroid games ive played were,Metroid 1,Metroid 2,Super Metroid,MP1,MP2,MP3,and Metroid fusion.those were the metroid games that i remember'd playing veryday non stop...other M is just a spin off from super metroid,how dispointing,all thanks to Team Ninja no dought.

I noticed the size proportions were messed up in the CG version. The "big" metroid is as beg as any other metroid in the SNES game and slightly bigger then the ones you fight in Other M. Also, MB's head is smaller. In that jar its in, it would be about over half the size of the MB in SM. Then again, maybe the body is just bigger. Lastly, the eye is too big to me, making MB look lightly cartoony.

endlich mal ein metroid game was richtig derbe geil ist :) hätte nie gedacht das die wii so eine derbe geile graphik hervorbringen kann. das sieht aus als wenns ein kinofilm wäre :) ich besitze alle metroid games aber metroid other m ist bisher der absolute oberhammer !!!! und da super metroid auf dem SNES sowieso schon immer mein lieblingsspiel war, freue ich mich besonders über so ein geiles remake in 3D !!! :-))) Metroid forever !!!

I still haven't gotten past Ridley in Super Metroid, he's too hard!

I shoot him in the face with like a million missiles and still die. Meanwhile I've beaten Zero Mission, Fusion and Metroid Prime 1-3.

@nahor88 Well with Ridley, you're going to need a whole cavalcade of an armory or just spam the Plasma Beam at him. Power Bombs do damage to him as well. So use everything and I mean EVERYTHING that you have and more!

I do spam like crazy against him, but this was my first ever Metroid game, and I didn't take energy tank collection seriously, not until I put it down and beat some other Metroid games. So the real problem is not having enough energy tanks.

And it'll be a pain in the ass to run around trying to collect more. That's kinda why I prefer the newer Metroids, far less backtracking.

@nahor88 NVGN: i tried the defeat ridley as a young boy and it was hard because the space pirates in gold color are too tough i used up too much power bombs and later i had to charge up the beam to fight them without power bombs and use them on ridley instead, then.... i had to use the charge beam later on, i used up too much power bombs,,, how stupid of me.

@Anthony883 Well the Metroids, in certain atmosphere's evolve into new types of forms, some with legs.. How ever in that one's case it just grew in size to proportions that were once unheard of. Just be glad that this one was on your side.

Odd that the Prime series aren't mentioned. I suppose the Prime series was truly a side story and had no relevance to the main story.

@gmaster2647 The Prime Trilogy do have relevance to the main story, but the video would become too long if they added them. And, besides, they wanted to "stay true" to the "nostalgic" feeling they're trying to express through Other M.

@joaobisgo My personal belief is that they were focusing on the Mother Brain/Metroid Hatchling aspects of the storyline and their relevance to events within Other M rather than making a full retrospective of the series up until Other M.

@gmaster2647 Even though the Prime games was a subseries, I love how Retro was able to fit it into the main timeline, between NES Metroid (Zero Mission) and Metroid 2. They were able to start a saga and end it (unless Retro still plans to make another).

In fact, if one were to consider all the trouble caused by the Metroid Prime (Dark Samus),Space Pirates and their Metroid experiments,it actually strengthens the reason why the Federation deemed Metroids too dangerous to exist in Metroid 2.
