This was put for comments and I am going to comment. THe girl at 1:10 who did pop was not good. She over acted big time and sad she looked like she was thinking the dance moves while she was trying to sing.
They dance well...the TONE of their voice needs improving but then again, idk how good the mic's were and how much they could really hear on stage....overall epic either way.
yay,im playing cicero,im kinda nervous though since in the movie she has a great vocals. And she has alot of emotion.Hopefully i'll do good.Good luck to anyone who has to do this!!!I know it isnt easy lol
Everything about this scene was lovely except the lighting. A lot of it feels unprofessional against the really professional production. You can't even see the beginning portion. Otherwise, FABULOUS.
Damn. Your school must have a terrific budget. I would love if our drama department can put on a show like that but the Florida school system is so terrible we'd have no money or place to store those kinds of props and scenes. :\ Excellent job with the show by the way.
The school gave our drama department no money. Each cast member had a fee they had to pay in order to participate in the show. We have many costumes, set pieces, and props stored in our scene shop. We are lucky for the facility. The county did give us that. All three high schools in the county have a matching theater. But we raise all our own money for the production of the show through activity fees and ticket sales.
That's really good. Our auditorium lights are busted so we do all our shows in our black box. It's nice but there wouldn't be space to put on a show like that. Nevertheless, we make good money from ticket sales and fundraising. Anyway, great job with the show!
I never said they were not "bomb". I actually said the "acting was above par". So I won't suck on anything. The actors didsn't really steal from the movie, but the director and choreographer seemed to. I'm sure there are scarves in *many* Broadway productions in many shows. It didn't work with this performance. End of story.
It seems like the red scarf touch was stolen from the film, but not done as well. A shame. The acting was above par and I don't know what was up with an ensemble/chorus being onstage for this number. It made it way too busy.
