Judging by the sight cover and the gas cylinder, I'd say that's definitely a BAR. From 1930-39 14,000 BAR's were built by Poland, chambered for the 7.92x57 mm Mauser round. Many of these were captured and used by the Germans.

the french army had a similar weapon as well....light machinegun which looked like cros between bren and bar.
if iam not mistaken polish army used bars as well and production of brens continued in czechslwakia for the ss primarely as well
