  • This sounds a lot like the 'Cracked' top 5 list of badass soldiers, the list is the same to. But nonetheless great videos, I'm thoroughly enjoying them and I'm glad that someone put up a video about 'Mad' Jack

  • He also missed the part where Jack killed german officer with bow and arrow

  • To the make of the video he did not two handed mediavel sword into battle but short broadsword today called claybeg

  • demoman anyone?

  • man your forgot that this badass used to rock a longbow and arrows in ww2 everyone else has thompsens m1 grands and this guy picks a bow and arrow and a fucking braodswoard to go into battle with.

  • I'm actually related to jack through my father's side of the family; i actually am Scottish - but he seriously wasn't, he was English. I was lucky enough to actually meet him two or three times when i was a wee boy and he spoke like prince charles. He loved Scotland though, and everything Scottish. When he died he left me his kilt because i told him wheni was about seven that i wanted to be a soldier like him (rolling in his grave now; i became a mathematician instead!)

  • @TheRacontuer That is seriously cool!

  • COMMANDOOOOOOOOOO!

  • WTF!? Scotsman!? Piss off! We don't have any badass Heroes! Why should Scotland have it just because he played the bloody BAGPIPES AT WAR!?.. stupid American taking my stupid nationality pride..

  • @gruntFree Well, it's not geographical - no American could tell a welsh from a cockney, it's more the mental association. Scotsman, that sounds like badass, like "Braveheart", like "Highlander", that sort of stuff.

Englishman, at the other hand ... Mr. Bean, bowler hats and crumpets anyone? Have you seen "Rob Roy", by the way? Great, great film ... ;)

  • ... Mr Bean as a badass?.. NO-nonono. Mr Bean is comical, entertainment, not fucking military or badass you idiot, you compare Highlander and Braveheart to Mr Bean when really Mr Bean is compared to Kevin Bridges and Frankie fucking Boyle.

  • @gruntFree That's what he meant, Scottish=Highlander=Badass; English=Mr. Bean=Comedy Relief.

  • @tehredmage That's not even true though, we have more war bad ass war hero's than most other countries.

  • @fenriz218 Read a history book you moron. It doesn't revolve around stereotypes that evolved in Hollywood through bigots like Mel Gibson.

  • @gruntFree That's not true, we have more than they do.

  • what are you guys complaining about? isnt watching a video with some footage more interesting than reading an article?

    I love it! :D

  • jack churchill or bauer?

  • dude get your shit straight,

  • It really annoys me that you didn' bother to make your own script.

  • This whole video is quoted word for word from a Cracked article. cracked.com/article_17019_5-real-life-soldiers-who-make-rambo-look-like-pussy.html

  • @Trooper1O8 This is old news my man. Thanks for the heads up though :)

  • Google Search: Leo Major. THE MOST badass allied soldier in world war 2.

  • US marines are sissy... Damn noobs.... Only true warriors are scandinavias

  • @TheWeirdNerdFromHell Jack Chruchill was English, that makes him Germanic.

  • why juse pictures of american soldiers in a movie about a scotsman

  • @bartieboy93 He's not Scottish.

  • @grobo11 mistake :)

  • I read that Jack Churchill also used a longbow during WW2. How many kills did he get with it? I know he got at least one, but I don't know his stats.

  • @GOBRAGH2

Just the one, as far as I can tell. Still, he's the only soldier in that whole thrice-damned mess to get a confirmed kill with a longbow.

  • Ahhhhh I see where you are coming from...my bad

  • Pretty lame....sorry

  • @stapme Thanks brah. All five made with absolutely no resources or real experience in about an 18 hour period. Lameness is to be expected.

  • @Pfenixfire08 Slacker. You definitely live in New Jersey.

  • @MrFreemason1 If only you knew

  • @Pfenixfire08 Documentaries like this are not made in hours, try weeks or months. Half-assing may have been the tactic in high school, but it will make you look like a fucking fool in "real life".

  • @MrFreemason1 Dude, you act like I don't know this. Anything of quality takes months or even years of dedication. If you think you're passing along some golden nugget of sagely advice you are barking up the wrong tree. I did this for fun. I learned a lot doing it. Everyone is happy :)

  • @Pfenixfire08 This kind of documentary seemed like it could have been done much better, but I guess some people don't strive for success.

  • @MrFreemason1 Oh I do strive. I fail so I see what I need to do to succeed. I make an attempt no matter how seemingly feeble. Unlike an asshole who uses his account to do nothing more than troll. Get a life man.

  • A claymore is a norman sword.

  • @chica476 didn't the Norman's invade England once upon a time? Well I guess that explains that.

  • You forgot to imortant facts about him when he ran into battle he yelled COMMANDO and the Germans used a frag grenade to nock him out cold

  • Here, it disnae matter what side of the border he's from because he's British. Did enjoy the video but it could have been enhanced with the removal of plagarism.

  • Fire balls from his eyes and bolts of lightning from his arse!

  • he was the only guy in ww2 to get a confined kill with a English low bow

  • was mad jack ever on the beaches of normandy?

  • @worldofwarcraftman2 yes he was, one of his most famous pictures is him storming Normandy with his claymore.

  • Seems to me this guy isn't exactly an admirable character. Other than being very lucky not to get a hole drilled in his head, he led his whole unit to their deaths, and he wanted the war to continue just so he could take a few more german heads? Its an interesting story, but Scottish people (or english, whatever)shouldn't be any more proud of him than the english are of Jack the Ripper.

  • oh, btw, he also used a longbow, he is credited with the only lonbow kill in ww2

  • ... There is nothing here that isn't on the Wikipedia page about him.

  • this guy is such a legend, people like this despite being a bit crazy make me proud to be British

  • this is littered with misinformation.

  • @Cenotaph205 Plenty of scottish and welsh and irish troops served with a lot of distinction in wars caused by English polticians!

  • @cannonski And some English Soldiers (as well as Scots, Welsh and Irish... and Indian, Newzealand, Australian, South African, Jamaican etc- I could go on) have served in wars started by American presidents recently and German politicians in the 20th Century. Your point is what?

  • uh yea too bad he was about as scottish as Benito Mussolini

  • video reads right from his wikipedia article....

  • Jack Churchill is credit to team!

    *Bruderfaust*

  • You don't have to be Scottish to enrol with the any Highland Regiment, mate.

If you are from Mecklanberg you can fight with a Bavarian regiment, can't you? Same thing in Britain.

  • How come I keep reading that he was Scottish? He was English.

You don't have to be Scottish to fight with the Highlanders, a British regmt is a British rgmt. As long as you are British, you can fight for any regiment you want to.

  • @Triplesod he was English. Just happend to carry a claymore and play the bagpipes

  • Oh, I know mate. That's what I'm saying.

Claymore's aren't typically Scottish, by the way. In fact, neither are bagpipes for that matter. Well, I suppose you would say that the pipes were typically Scottish but they weren't invented there, they have been in use for many millennia, used by the ancient Greeks, Romans and even the Indians.

This is not to take anything away from the Scots. It doesn't need to be said the influence they have given to the World!

  • True, i'm from the North east of England and am quite partial to the northumbrian pipes (you don't blow, you have bellows under your opposite shoulder). Didn't mean to reply to you. I meant to reinforce what you were saying! :)

  • I see.

Absolutely beautifully fantastic story, isn't it?

And it's completely true!! How often do you get a story as bonkers as this, without anyone ever having to spice it up at all!?!?!

    Fantastic!

  • @Triplesod Perhaps but you english always did use the celtic forces as shock troops, be they welsh or scottish, even up to the Falklands (ie the Scots Guards got the 'honour' of taking Mt Tumbledown while the english sat comfy).

  • @cannonski What a knob you are! Yes, there are Scots, Welsh and Irish Guards regiments, but they no more 'shock troops' than the Paras, Royal Marines or indeed any other Infantry Regiment we have. Look up what the Paras and RM did in the falklands, the Royal Anglians and the Mercians did in Afghan (and continue to do). Oh, wait, they arent celtic.... Your point is empty!

  • @goodbadugly654 I agree with what you're saying, mate but must you be so obnoxious and nasty in the way you say it?

It's a shame because it's going to put people off what you say, or prevent people from taking it seriously.

Honestly, your points will do a lot more good and reach a lot more people if you put them down politely and interestingly. Abusing people honestly won't get you anywhere.

    Cheers.

  • this isn't completely accurate. do your research.

  • wrong type of claymore btw, there's the one you see in braveheart, and the type he actually used that's simliar to a rapier.

  • @Aegrim a claybeg

  • I just read this today from "5 Real Life Soldiers Who Make Rambo Look Like a Pussy" HAHA

  • Good info but you gave it in such an obnoxious way. Take it seriously ffs!! Can't stand it...grow up.

  • It's based on an article from a comedy website

  • years after the war when he lived in England again, he used to throw his bag from a moving train everyday on his way home from work. when he was asked why he did this he said he threw it into his own back garden so he didnt have the hassle of carrying it from the station - LEGEND! makes you proud to be English lol

  • @dave255558 he told that "secret" right before he died,..

  • if i recall he went on to teach Australian soldiers

  • Ok... seriously... why have we not seen some epic movie about this hero? If anyone deserves to be immortalize in film, this man certainly does.

  • nevertheless epic

  • This video did talk about jack after the 2nd world war. At 40, he completed jump school an became a paratrooper and fought in palestein and commanded an armored car during battle in full dress uniform just to name one instance!

  • sick man

  • He was born in Hong Kong, his parents were english, but he liked scottish culture.

  • Here's a few extras:

    -He was a male model

-Churchill was a damn good archer. He represented England in the Archery World Championships in 1939

-In 1940 (When the germans were trying to take over France), he led crazy raids on german supply depots armed with his bow, arrows and sword. While riding in a motorcycle

-He took part in the daring amphibious assault on the German base in Vaagso, Norway as leader of Commando 2. He obviously succeeded in his mission.

    -among others

  • Just using a sword. WOW! That must have come in handy when fighting at close range.

  • English, not scottish

  • I have never said it was mine. I gave cracked full credit. Linked their article. I added a few things here and there to make it work in the video. 90% of it theirs. If Cracked was ass pissed as you about this I would take all five of the videos down, but since I have not they are going to stay. Me thinks you need to calm down sir. Now find something more constructive to do with your time. Fucking troll.

  • Way to tell em' off. I personally enjoyed the spin you put on your videos, regardless of where they came from. Besides, nothing is original.

    Great vids.

  • Pretty sure Cracked stole most of it from wikipedia anyway.

  • i second this

  • Jack Churchill and that other scottish warrior were nerly the same person just in different times.

  • This is badass and all but he had to get lucky in order to survive some of this.

  • Possibly the greatest man to have ever lived. Certainly the most badass.

  • He wanted the war to continue. Thats just being an ass. Hardly the greatest man ever.

  • Oh piss off you ranting old bag

  • Comment removed

  • yeah this guy was English, but killing a German with a long bow is totally awesome.

  • i really dont mean to shit on your parrade but churchill was englash, he just liked all things to do with scottish culture. also he didnt carry a claymore he carryied a claybeg wich is a baskit hilted broadsword., non of this makes him any less bad ass but i just thought you should have you facts straight

  • I stand corrected.

  • yea true... theres a pic of churchill during an military exercice , u can see him carrying a scottish broadsword the the one with the basket hilt . as the guy said. and thats even more badass i think XD

  • This man does my heritage as a Scotsman proud. His insanity is to be saluted. And respected.
