Illegal immigration is a different story, however: Our government does it's best to police the border but unfortunately illegals are always getting through. @CStarz608 i agree it is confusing. Everybody gets confused about something. White is not caucasion. Wise is fair. He looks "white". Pakistanis and Turks look white(ish) but they are not. Australian Aboriginies have black skins but they are not "blacks". Australian aborigines care about land rights, alcoholism and their issues. @jackthenigger Do please remember, that Tim Wise is laying the groundwork for the education of White America. This talk is at the level of GRADESCHOOL PRIMER. Do not expect great introspection and subtlety in a talk on such a medium. Get his book and see how he addresses the more militant factions against the elite. Also might wanna check out DavisFleetwood Channel, he makes some fine points too when he addresses racial issues.

@jackthenigger -Turner's story is a different story, one during bondage & desperation. It must be talked about and told, but not by Wise. He makes a living exposing white privilege. There are many pieces to the puzzle and though your anger is understandable, your disrespect is not.. Line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little. Wise is equivalent to a modern day abolitionist and prevented David Duke from becoming governor of Louisiana.

@TVP4- you are right on target. Wise definitely pulls his style from black speakers, something he admits. Reads black writers and says he tells what they have said but what people won't hear from blacks. He is a master rhetorician and uses black style to his advantage. He is dead serious about his topic and is changing the world, slowly but surely. I respect this man immensely!

The reason I've not read black authors & learnt the "black style" of writing which is ferociously engaging is due to the constant programming of TV & youth! @PsychoticusRex Well PRex- listening to Wise is like listening to a black man. His style is definitely taken from black talkers, as is his content, as he has admitted. I think he is quite developed, personally, and that he's come a long, long way. the beauty of his talks, his books and his style is its simplicity. He hangs the fruit low, parses his thoughts well and addresses truth, at least as he sees it, in perfect argumentative structure. A master of rhetoric & logic- enthymeme and syllogism.

You seem to think I felt as tho I should of automatically had the job because I am "white" but that is not what I am saying.. if the road should go one way for one person it should go that way for everyone.
When you fill out an application it shouldn't have a box for race, you shouldn't have a face to face interview. Nor should you have to put down a name so they cant profile you as any race.
Age, Work history, Qualifications, Education, available hours should be the only things on the app.
