Hi, I've just discovered your interesting video. If you really want the very best timekeeping I would drop the seconds contacts as well. They affect the pendulum at the most sensitive point of its arc. You still need the 30 seconds contact to be able to read the time from a slave dial of course.
I have dropped the seconds contacts about 2 months ago and it defenitely improves the time keeping. I left also the 6 seconds contact off. The 30 seconds contact drives the slaves through a power transistor and a relay.

No, The Hipp Toggle is a switching arrangement to directly drive a pendulum clock. Was invented about 150 years ago.
