  • "I can feel myself getting dumber."-Davey Wavey

  • i have a halfmoon betta in a one gallon tank and it has 3 plants and a rock that i bought at petsmart? he never hides . is this because he has the plants and the rock in his tank?

  • mmm im pritty sure the fish do care

  • does saltwater/freshwater fish needs an oxygen pump? or a filter itself is enough?

  • ummmm fish do care what is in the aquarium. they would like to know about hiding locations, the free big areas etc...

  • This is so out dated.GET A FUCKING UPDATE YOU SO CALLED "EXPERTVILLAGE"!!!!

  • Love those awesome crawfish...

  • 0:17 LMFAO! I would love for you to show me a fake rock.

  • @betrekwoman you must have been still laughing your fucking ass off when he showed you the fake rock @ 0:26 you fucking double-dumb little shit!!!

  • Real rock? wtf its not like you would use fake rock...

  • @Timespartan111 he said "synthetic rock" ie: fake rock, in the next sentence you dumb little shit.

  • @Genedancingmachine wow, sorry i closed the video after i heard him say "real rock" but why the hell would you use fake rock?

  • @Timespartan111 well real rock, fake rock wasn't the issue i was addressing. What i was addressing was the teenage-bahavin' ten-second-attention-span havin' bitchy snippy little youtube comments of most of you youtubers out there but at least you're showing a sliver of humbleness. Peace!

  • @Genedancingmachine thanks, peace !

  • Those guys are real experts talking bullshit as much as they can and put it in a 2 minute film. Good work!

  • This is a REAL rock nah Sh!t !

  • @CRose1414 LOL

  • plastic is not very natural 'though, ...a real hobyist uses real plants, CO2 system (build it yourself), etc... be a little creative in the things you like to do !!!!! maybe you can put in plastic fish ; ) just kidding !

  • how the f^%# can they tell us to use plastic WTF totaly agree idiots all the time. Might as well tell us to use plastic fish!

  • Comment removed

  • NNNNNNNYYYAAAAUUUUUUGH!!!!!!!

ALL EXPERT VILLAGE VIDEOS ARE COMPLETE AND UTTER BULLSHIT!!!!!

JOIN WITH ME MY BRETHREN, AND WE WILL TROLL THEIR ASSES OUT OF EXISTENCE!!!!!!

    WHO'S WITH ME!!!!

  • cool

  • what fish store is this

  • wow this fails so much. 0:49 1:16 and 1:24 are all complete bullsht

and who ever said plecos are the only fish who like to hide thats bs too. All fish like to hide at some point especially if thers a dominant fish in there like a large gourami

  • Yeah, expert. When i heard the word plastic, i knew he's no expert, just trying to sell crap. he's a commercial expert lolz, 30 years went to waste if you think plastic is better than natural ;). i prefer natural ;).

  • @Grzelass Natural plants are better...but....I'm tired of getting snails from them. Besides a clown loach, how else can I get rid of snails???

  • @rhett7777gg ghost shrimp (asia)

  • i hope i never move to expert village...

  • omg i have a blue lobster too!!!

  • Ummmm. I like didn't learn anything and stuff.

  • I have 4 neon tetras, 1 angelfish, 1 guppy and 2 fry, a grown algea eater (one that looks like catfish), and a molly. I have enough plants, including artificial, but I have a cave in the middle that no fish except for the algea eater goes to. I'm worried because my Angelfish is getting bigger, so it needs more room to swim: should I get rid of the cave? I mean, the algea eater really likes it, but there's a bubbler that he could use as shelter and an umbrella of artificial plants.

  • @Freakishd well, a bigger tank would be a better solution, how large is your angel? and what size tank is it in? Is your algae eater a pleco (common or otherwise), a chinese, or siamese algae eater, or an otocinclus? It makes a big difference. I would leave the cave in there, a bubble stone is not really what a fish would consider shelter. If you want some help or advice, I would reccomend checking some forums, try googling aquatic community forum, they're great.

  • Dude...of course getting a bigger tank would be the solution, but im 17 freaking years old. I don't have the money. That's the reason I asked about the cave. Plus, notice that this was 3 weeks ago, and I already made up my mind about taking it out and the pleco is doing great. When I said I had a bubbler, I'm not talking about a rock. It's a greek amphitheater so it's large. But you're right, the fish don't swim into the bubbles. My pleco is currently inhabiting a block of shade.

  • @Freakishd Well, you asked a question and I was trying to answer, but I also didn't have all the info. I wasn't trying to be rude, I was only wanting to help. You never said you had a pleco, you said algae eater, there's more than one type of fish that could be referred to as an algae eater. How am I supposed to know what fish you stock, how old you are, and what your financial situation is? Don't expect an ideal answer on youtube, and don't be an ass when you get that less than ideal answer.

  • @lobsternoob

HAHA! You say you weren't trying to be rude? Neither was I! Plus, I was going to write in quotations that I found out it was a pleco but there were no more characters. I also meant to add some unintellegent ":P :D XD :)" Sigh.........the only way people can tell that you're friendly is if they spek liek dis LOLZ XD

But dude, you have to admit. OF COURSE getting a bigger tank would help. If I could've I definately would. This is why my question was about the CAVE.

  • expertvillage is a joke

  • @Link4681 Expertvillage is most certainly not a joke; it would have to make sense to be a joke. I took their advice and my 12 gallon eclipse system has five plicosimust, 2 oskir, and 20 knee on tetris plus some big fish that look like a owl! My tank super happy for 3 hours so far thanks to expertvillage!

  • @lobsternoob dude i can read..... and by the way you must be a dumbass cause first of all you should only keep like 10-12 neons in a 12 gallon tank, plecos end up having 30 gallon tanks and get HUGE, and oscars make you get a freaken 200 gallon or something.plus your tank is already crowded. dont tellme what is and isnt a joke cause just by knowing what your tank has tells me that its a really bad joke. besides expertvillage isnt helpful at all they dont tell you anything u need to know.

  • @Link4681 Ok, so you can read, but you obviously can't get sarcasm. LOL I horribly misspelled plecostomus and said knee on tetras and you still took my comment seriously. Really? gimme a break. I was trying to point out how bad the expert village videos are.

  • @lobsternoob you figure out sarcasm by the way someone says it, not by reading a comment..... Is it even possible to tell by the way someone says something??? and besides do you think i'm a 4 year old? i think i can read neon tetras, plecos, and oscars.... and many others at my age can too....

  • @lobsternoob and again whats so hard about saying that expertvillage is a joke.... you freaken act sarcastic? just say that there a piece of crap!

  • @Link4681 Ok, they're a piece of crap, happy? Yes I know sarcasm is usually determined by tone, but it's pretty hard to include that in text. I guess saying something that sounds so stupid to me I couldn't possibly read it and take it seriously just doesn't cut it. I really thought the "knee on" tetra thing would get the point across, because I have a hard time fathoming how someone could possibly be as dumb as I tried to sound. Funny thing is, I wasn't trying to argue with you, I was agreeing.

  • @lobsternoob what was the point of spelling neon as knee on and oscar as oskir? i thought u just sucked at spelling lol

  • @Link4681 I was trying to make a point that if someone listens to fishkeeping advice from expertvillage they're probably so dumb they have a totally overstocked tank and don't even know what kind of fish they have, or care, and being that dumb, the person probably couldn't spell. Just trying to demonstrate how stupid someone could be. Thankfully I'm not actually that bad at spelling lol.

  • @lobsternoob alright then lol sorry for calling u a dumbass

  • can i put artifical coral in a freshwater tank ? reply please

  • Yes that is possible.

AND your fish won't die from it.

    cheers

  • @TrueSplash Yes, but it is ugly

  • @TrueSplash yes

  • @TrueSplash its not ugly go ahead and do it

  • @TrueSplash yes

  • you don't put plastic in a tank if you love fishes you put real things to recreate a corner of nature if you want to put plastic you better do something else

  • omg people help!!!! ok so i just got a calico ryukin goldfish in a 10 gallon tank ,the tank has benn sitting 4 almost a week now and just 30 min ago i got him, his body is turning a dark blue and one time he just sat at the bottom of the tank for a 1 min until i used the net to get him to move. i did test the water its perfect. and very clean, he has lots of room to swim the light is on right now but its getting dark so i need 2 leave it on.please help me figure it out n quick!!!

  • @nyletakatelyn try to get a real aquarium with real plants and some roots innit. they really like that and it looks good too. and try to get some friends for the little fishy. i dont know really if the goldfish are happier with friends or alone. but my guess is they like other goldfishs there with em. and check the hardness of the water too

  • fish bowls aren't friendly for fish- because they are round they disorientate the fish hence y it is usually better to keep them in a tank

  • omg why dont people talk about the classic fishbowl?? im pretty sure most cramped spaced rooms can fit a fishbowl better than a frickin aquarium >.> and im pretty sure people dont know how to set a fishbowl up either =_=

  • but the fish will die without a filter

  • no, some fish don't need filters.

  • but most i know of do

  • the bettas that were sold in my closest pet habitat were cramped in a slurpie cup. that's also the reason why i bought one.

  • sure its a little cute but it aint realy like WOW lol

  • My aunty had a gold fish that the cat bought home (still lucky to be alive ) and she put it in a bowl and the fish lived for 9 years, no filter or anything lol

  • carp dont lol

  • hey what you call them blue looking fish down the bottom they look cool dude

  • those weren't fish they were some kind of shrimp or something

  • thay are fish thay are crayfish that one is calld a blue crayfish coz it is blue lol

  • exactly they are crayfish, not an actual fish, but a crustacean

  • they were crayfish/crawdads/crawfish...it depends on where you come from what theyre called but theyre basically just mini lobsters. those blue ones are kinda rare and run about $20 you can catch the normal brown/red ones in creeks by overturning rocks in the slow slack waters.

  • thay are freshwater blue crayfish av got a red clawd cray fish but thay dont seem to have red claws lol i thingk it is just because thay are small the now av got three of them and thay ar grat water pets and thay are cool if u r thinking of geting one just ask me coz i no alot about them

  • expert... LOOOOOL

  • real rock, mined from the earth, narious types various colors. lol

i wonder if he realises some rocks mined from the earth can leach dangerous chemicals, like oh i dont know, the high levels of iron in the red rock he has their.

you need to make sure the rocks are properly treated

  • do you need any qualifications to make an EXPERT VILLAGE video?

i am only saying, because from looking at the few fish ones available, a lot of your information is poor or wrong.

it is lamost as if you are making them to suite the fish stores needs, as apposed to the aquarist.

  • sotoy ni orang

  • this is a really bad video some fish need decorations to feel comfatable like a pleco or nocturnal species likes it dark and knife fish like tube like decorations to feel comftable and not like prey. expert video should be called rookie videos it doesnt tell you ANNY thing about setting a fish tank.

  • LOL! ROOKIEVILLAGE NOOBVILLAGE! XD

  • terrible video.

  • Real Fish Advice From Those Who Know Best, Aquarists. TheExoticFish . com

  • can i put a filter thet was in a 10 gal in my 20 gal pls reply thanks

  • Did you send an email to their email address that they say at the end of the video?

  • it depends. if the instructions on the filter say it can clean up to 20 gal. tanks than yes.

  • if you or anyone hasnt noticed a 10 gallon motor is more powwerfull than a 75 aqauclear....if you look at the motor you should see that you are getting ripped off...you should just buy a couple 10-20 gallon filters this way you also circulate the whole tank

  • hey, you can put it on but id reccemend another filter because 20 gallon has alot more bio load then a 10 gallon but yes you can put it on there.

    colton

  • i wouldnt otherwise the aquarium might not look as clear

  • man i love crayfish:)

  • i need some help on something going on in my aquarium fish tank at the moment, wondering if you can help me, theres black dots inside the tank, near the gravel at the bottom

i have tried getting them off but they wont shift,

can someone help me about what this can be as i dont want it affecting my fish - Mel

  • why don't you try get a new one?

  • a new tank? dont be stupid!! it cost me a bomb aint gonna change my fish tank coz of abit of something on the bottom of the tank

  • did you have that before? it can be debris or dirt. or your tank maybe just be getting old... just like what i've said...get a new a one!...its only my suggestion, and if you don't like to do that...then why don't you check yahoo or google for more suggestive options!!

  • Have you ever had snails? It could be little baby snails at the bottam stuck to the glass maybe?

  • Fish much prefer real plants and they look better. You may have to replace them but they cost like nothing and thats what comes with owning an aquarium you retarded yanks and plastic plants are tacky.

  • Shut the fuck up.

  • ... that was for grimeylimey.

  • your damn right they love the real plants, try to bread fish in a empty tank ;)

  • i agree plastics plants look tacky, but theres no need for the insult

  • fish no care about what you put in the tank, not so much what the decorations are, they just need cover but they do care about the gravel

useing natural colord gravel will bring out the colors of the fish, making them live with a neon pink floor or blue or something like that will stress them out. The more like nature you make the tank the happier the fish will be, they will live longer too

  • yeah and dont mind what the plant do with the water ;) and what the fish can get of them ;)

  • underknock

Im very interested to find out about all the fish species available to the average consumer. One thing about fish hiding? Don't you think you would try and hide in a loosely decorated aquarium rather than a overly decorated beauty tank?I may be wrong.

  • your right about hiding

  • ok how do u have 82,000 vids.

  • almost 83000 lol

  • 86000+ now.

  • now its 87 thousand

  • you dont know shit :D

  • Ummm... certain fish DO care about their surroundings... and, depending upon your water chemistry in your area, it is NOT always advisable to choose natural decorations for your tank. Doing this could result in a chemical imbalance. Some can be beneficial, and some detrimental... Please remember: an aquarium is a STATIC, contained environment... Use discretion when choosing decorations and ask about the effect on water chemistry.

  • dont put snails with cichlids!!

  • cool, 5/5

  • very good 5*

  • tamesidecitizen.blogspot

  • im getting pet fish tomorrow and i dont even know what to do with the accessories in the tank. plus i dont know how to fill it up..

  • firstly put in your bottom layer (eg gravel)

    then add the water

  • JaydeHadfield: wash all decorations under clean water. NO SOAP!!!! soap is poison to fish!! ...make sure youre water pump has horizontal water flow, for current! most fish like a good current. wash sand or gravel in strainer. under clean water to get debris out of it.

  • Excellent advice! I SWEAR I was BORN with that in my HEAD! I am a Pisces! LOL

  • u put water in it with a jug retard

  • Is more stupid when you can't even spell the word STUPID. LOL

  • Why is it stupid?

  • Chinese algae eaters are extremely aggressive, he would be better off with a more calm pleco (most plecos grow to 2 feet and some larger) however there are smaller versions like the rubernose which usually gets about 6 inches in length.

  • true but i would perfer a snail. they do the same job. plus plecos need a 5 gallon tank when snails need 1 gallon.

  • Hahaha. "Wow, real rock"!

  • shrimps are noobs. lol

  • hey does any one no way to get ride of the algae on live rock, i do regulare water changes but its not working can some one help!

  • What kind of algae? You can try getting a chinese algae eater or some algae eating shrimp.

  • try some snails. i have 2 for a five gallon tank. they get all the algae.
