@MrThegreat28 Sorry bud the plans were all just on the fly and just trying stuff... ;) Just explore! thats half the fun. I will say we slightly had to dismantle the air gun to access the trigger mechanism but that was easy enough with a servo we just attached to the frame.

For non motorized wheels (dummy wheel) you should use omni wheels because they allow turning in all directions.

several things to note. 1) a square bot is the best because it can turn well and drive straight. 2) an omni drive would be help full for precise lining up. 3) have a motor that can spin the gun so that the bot doesn't have to turn to shoot in different directions 4) always use 2 points of support on an axle.

my school was about 10 or so vex kits but we will never be able to build a robot with a gun. haha. we've already built a bot, non vex, that can break bricks!

I've been working on something similar, had a full scale AK-47 mounted but it weighed so i had to use to many of my components just to able to lift and turn the gun. also have a wireless security camera with infrared that my brother had around which relays to a TV will post video when i get my refined version running.

Just shut the fuck up. Obviously he didn't have access to omniwheels and you can't make differential gears with the VEX kit so this is the best it can do.

You don't need omniwheels to make a drivetrain that can turn. I've been making robots with vex for 3 years now without access to omniwheels and my bots have always turned perfectly. It takes some math, but it can be done.

u really dont have to have omniwheels to make the bot turn, its just an good type of wheel to have. all he has to do is make it so one wheel stops while the other rotates, creating a turn.

turning isn't that great. Try gearing it so that both of the wheels on one side are driven by a single motor. A.K.A. Tank style. Other than that, cool stuff. 5/5

This + Small mounted wireless pinhole camera = Awesomeness. A more maneuverable turret(Such as one that has complete spherical freedom) would make it better.

I actually fitted an airsoft battle-tank with a wireless pinhole cam. That was awesome though the transmitter/receiver combination's range sucked. I guess that comes with the tank's 50 dollar price tag. XD

Hmm, i have some suggestions, if you could remove the wheels and fit them with rubber like tracks for better mobility.If you wanna go extreme, fit a tiny camera and you have a Mini Terminator on your hands.

I think that the steering is too slow, so once somebody gets hit, they will then know of the attack and would be able to easily dodge the attack. pretty darn cool though!
