Great editing job of the different versions. In the early days they presented each of their songs onstage the same way--George's solos were carefully thought out and structured. His guitar breaks were always presented before audiences exactly the way they sounded on the record. These guys had class. They were giving their fans exactly what their fans expected to hear. The improvising came later in their public performances, but in the early days it was craftsmanship and fidelity.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again, you can tell Buddy Holly's influence on the Beatles probably more with this song more than any other song that Lennon & McCartney themselves wrote.
